It's her Semblance. It evolved so she can get "bigger" for serious combat. Or serious lovemaking. Also it improves the morale of everyone fighting on her side.

Also the Pendragons did actually collect Pre-Moonshatter lore and magical items, and studied them. Excalibur survived the Moonshatter and they have been its keepers.

The party specializes in retrieving ancient relics, escorting clients through Grimm territory, and taking on high-risk contracts that sane teams avoid. Has a long, messy off and on again relationship with her team leader/boyfriend Kazuma, whom she saved from drowning.

• Naming Process: Tangerine is from the orange-colored citrus fruit: a deliberately unusual, almost whimsical given name chosen by her parents to stand out among the more traditional Arc names; she despises it and insists on being called "Tangy" or "Tanya" (the latter being her preferred professional alias). "Tangy" evokes both the sharp citrus bite of her personality and her tendency to "cut through" bureaucracy and enemies alike.

• Personality: Aggressive, no-nonsense, and ruthlessly efficient — a "Mad Dog of Vale" who despises incompetence, bureaucracy, and sentimentality in equal measure. She complains constantly about the sorry state of the VDF yet works tirelessly to fix it. With Jaune she reverts to classic sibling banter (calling him "dweeb," "brat," or "big baby" while he calls her "pipsqueak" or "tiny"), but she is fiercely protective of him and quietly proud of the man he is becoming. She is a strict but fair commander who inspires fanatical loyalty in her troops (especially Visha). Beneath the ice she still carries the Arc family's deep sense of duty and love for her siblings, even if she expresses it through sarcastic barbs and extra paperwork. She and Visha are a terrifyingly effective duo — Tangy plans the war, Visha makes sure the logistics (and snacks) are perfect. Despite her reputation, she still finds time to visit her family.

• Naming Process: Verdy is short for "verdant," referencing her signature green hair highlights and love of high-speed flight tech. Coral is named for the vibrant orange hue.

• Background: Identical twins and the resident mad scientists of the Arc family. While most of their siblings pursued combat or medicine, Verdy and Coral threw themselves into weapons, vehicles, and experimental tech with gleeful abandon. They currently split their time between earning their college degrees by mail and working as lead engineers for Arc Armaments, Inc. and the Radian Militia. They design, build, test, and maintain everything from mechashift rifles and prototype hoverbikes to one-man flying-wing gliders and next-gen fighter avionics. • Semblance: Twin Synergy: When working in close proximity, the twins' Auras link, allowing them to share sensory data, coordinate movements with perfect timing, and even temporarily boost each other's physical output or technical intuition. The effect grows stronger the more chaotic or excited they become, making them terrifyingly effective in both engineering and combat, but also prone to synchronized giggles and escalating pranks.
• Appearance: Petite and athletic with blonde hair (Verdy's is spiky with vivid green highlights; Coral's is wild and voluminous with bright orange streaks). Both have bright blue eyes that sparkle with mischief and matching cheeky grins. Jaune remains their favorite (and most frequent) test subject, though they swear they've gotten much better at not almost killing him. Lilac Arc Profile (The Domestic Goddess)

• Name: Lilac Arc
• Allusion: Belldandy (Ah! My Goddess!) — the impossibly kind, domestic, and radiantly gentle goddess who "kills with kindness" — blended with Fluttershy (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) for her soft-spoken nature, love of animals, and hidden inner strength.
• Naming Process: Lilac is named for the delicate purple flower symbolizing purity, serenity, and first love — perfectly capturing her gentle, almost ethereal personality and her role as the most domestic and nurturing of the Arc sisters.

• Background: The second eldest of Jaune's older sisters and the emotional heart of the Arc family. While her siblings pursued combat, medicine, or engineering, Lilac chose to stay in Radian and manage the family farm's finances, operations, and daily life with serene efficiency. She is engaged to Mercer Sith Junior, a local mechanic and amateur racer, and dreams of a quiet life filled with children, home-cooked meals, and helping raise her future nieces and nephews. A devout member of the Tablebreaker Church, she finds deep peace in prayer, kindness, and service.

• Weapon: None carried. Lilac relies entirely on her overwhelming kindness and the occasional well-timed guilt trip to resolve conflicts.
• Semblance: "Gentle Dominion" — Lilac's Aura radiates an aura of pure, unconditional kindness that makes almost any living creature (birds, raccoons, deer, mice, dogs, and occasionally even people) instinctively want to please her. Animals will happily perform complex tasks, clean, organize, or even attack threats on her behalf without any command. The effect is so strong that most people find themselves behaving better around her simply to avoid disappointing her. She has never weaponized it aggressively, but the potential for "killing with kindness" is very real. Of course it's entirely possible she doesn't have a Semblance and she's just that nice.
• Appearance: Stunningly beautiful with long, silky blonde hair usually worn loose or in a simple braid, soft blue eyes that sparkle with warmth, and a gentle, almost angelic smile. She is the most supermodel-esque of the Arc sisters-tall, graceful, and effortlessly elegant even in an apron, with curves that would make a pornstar jealous.
• Outfit: Classic domestic goddess — soft yellow sundress with a white apron, comfortable flats, and a simple lavender ribbon in her hair. She always looks like she just stepped out of a storybook illustration of the perfect homemaker.
• Personality: Radiantly kind, endlessly patient, and almost impossibly sweet. She speaks in a soft, melodic voice and finds genuine joy in cooking, cleaning, gardening, and caring for others. She is completely oblivious to social tension or romantic complications, which leads her to cheerfully assume Jaune has multiple fiancées and offer to help raise all the babies. Beneath the sweetness lies a well-controlled dark side — she can deliver devastating guilt trips or quiet, terrifying disapproval when someone truly disappoints her. With Jaune she is openly affectionate, pinching his cheeks and calling him her "cute, kind, strong little brother." Gets on very well with pretty much everyone.
• Notes: The living embodiment of "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all", except she somehow makes you feel guilty for even thinking the mean thing. • Naming Process: Orchid is named for the delicate yet resilient bright violet flower.

• Background: The youngest of Jaune's six older sisters and the resident tech genius of the Arc family. While most of her siblings pursued combat or medicine, Orchid discovered her calling early as a prodigy with computers, data systems, and information networks. She works as the head bookkeeper and systems administrator for the Arc-En-Ciel Teaching Hospital in Radian, managing everything from patient records to supply logistics with flawless efficiency. She also runs several (mostly legal) side businesses involving information brokerage, cybersecurity consulting, and discreet data retrieval. She was instrumental in helping Jaune gain admission to Beacon through careful manipulation of his transcripts. She's very good with drones and loves Fuujin anime, Starlight Knights figurines, and yaoi.

• Naming Process: Saphron is a variant spelling of Saffron, the vibrant golden-orange spice and flower symbolizing warmth, joy, and domestic happiness.

• Background: The eldest of Jaune's six older sisters and the first to leave Radian to build her own life. She moved to Argus, the bustling coastal city in northern Anima, where she met and fell in love with Terra Cotta, a skilled technician working on the Argus CCT relay system. The two married and now live together in a cozy apartment overlooking the harbor with their young son, Adrian. Saphron works as an editor at a respected local publishing house, where she helps bring new stories and voices to the people of Anima. • Naming Process: Mercer is an old English occupational surname meaning "merchant" or "trader," fitting the Sith family's long history as stewards and suppliers to the Arc family. The "Senior" distinguishes him from his son, Mercer Jr.
• Age: Late 40s to early 50s
• Background: Patriarch of the Sith family and one of the oldest and most loyal vassal houses to the Arc family. For almost a thousand years the Siths served as Dukes of Radian when the Arcs ruled the kingdom of Gallia; today they maintain a modest but proud farm directly across the road from the main Arc farmstead. Mercer runs the town garage and mechanic shop, keeping Radian's vehicles, farm equipment, and militia hardware running smoothly. A massive cat Faunus, he lost his left hand years ago to a particularly vicious Grimm attack. In its place he had a multi-function cybernetic attachment installed that can switch between a fully articulated mechanical hand and a powerful rotary gun he affectionately named "Donnybrook." He was happily married to Tabitha Reyes, another cat Faunus, until she was killed in a Grimm attack. He now raises their two children (Mercer Jr. and Katy) with help from the Arc family. Mercer was Isabel Arc's childhood best friend and once had a fierce crush on her, even coming to blows with a young Nick Arc over her. After a heartfelt confrontation the two men resolved their differences; Mercer eventually fell in love with Tabitha, while Nick and Isabel found each other. The three remained close friends for life. After Tabitha's death, Isabel and Nick helped Mercer through his grief and supported the Sith family in every way they could. Today Mercer is a proud, loud, and fiercely protective father who treats the Arc children as his own and is overjoyed that his son Mercer Jr. is engaged to Lilac Arc.

Mercer grew up in Radian working in his father's garage and quickly became one of the most skilled mechanics and vehicle operators in the region. He now runs regular supply convoys between Radian and nearby towns, keeping the isolated farming communities connected and supplied with everything from Dust parts to fresh produce. Though he has no Semblance, his raw driving skill, Aura-enhanced strength, and sheer stubbornness make him an invaluable asset to the Radian Militia's logistics corps. He has been engaged to Lilac Arc for several years and is widely regarded as the "big brother Jaune never had" — extremely hotblooded, rough, and quick-tempered with everyone… except Lilac, around whom he instantly turns into a soft, purring kitten.

He swears like a sailor, and has a short fuse: Especially when dealing with bureaucracy, shoddy engineering, or anyone who threatens his family or convoy. Around Lilac, however, he melts completely, becoming soft-spoken, gentle, and almost embarrassingly affectionate (much to Jaune's endless amusement). He has taken Jaune under his wing since the boy was small, acting as the tough-love big brother. Deeply loyal and protective, he would walk through fire for the people he loves: He just prefers to complain about it the entire way. • Naming Process: Katy is a diminutive of Katherine, meaning "pure", and an allusion to Cait Sith, the Celtic Cat spirit.

• Background: The only daughter of Mercer Sith Senior and the late Tabitha Reyes, and younger sister of Mercer Sith Jr. Katy grew up on the small Sith farm directly across the road from the main Arc homestead. She and Jaune were childhood best friends who eventually became each other's first boyfriend and girlfriend. Katy was deeply in love with the idea of a quiet, happy farmhouse life-raising children, tending the land, and supporting her husband-and she genuinely believed Jaune would be happiest following in his mother Isabel's footsteps as a doctor. She encouraged him to stay in Radian, obey his mother, and give up his dangerous Huntsman dreams. Jaune's desire to become a Huntsman was too strong, however, and the two argued bitterly for months before finally breaking up. Heartbroken but determined to find her own path, Katy left Radian shortly afterward to attend school in Atlas, hoping distance and new experiences would help her figure out who she wanted to be outside of the life she had always imagined with Jaune.

When visiting the Arc farm she often "borrows" one of Jaune's old hoodies. Formal dress includes a tight red dress, pumps, and her hair in an artful ponytail.
