Gotham city has gained another savior and he couldn't be more different than Bruce Wayne. For those that are unaware, here's some background info for context because this is a wild ride.
Vergil St. Jude. Born July 1st, 1999. Orphaned at the ripe age of five years old. Preschool drop out. Grew up as a street rat in Gotham that bounced between the streets, homeless shelters, and the occasional foster home. Very sad. Many tears were shed.
Until six months ago. Vergil St. Jude was begging on a street corner and got twenty dollars from what is now the lead developer for a multimillion-dollar company called Sainthood Enterprises. That twenty dollars was used to start a temporary refurbishing company from stuff taken from the dump then sold online. That money, in turn, started a company called Sainthood Flowers, and that in turn became Sainthood Entertainment where the company really took off thanks to the power of anime tiddies. From begging on the streets to a millionaire in less than half a year.
With me so far? Because here is where things start to get juicy.
Because Vergil St. Jude, CEO of Sainthood Enterprises, has a secret identity.
Saint Vergil of Lowtown.
What's Lowtown, one might ask?
Six months ago, it was a homeless community shacked up in the sewers to survive the winter. However, thanks to Gotham being Gotham, the community was forced to move to an abandoned train station because people attacked the community and nearly beat a lot of people to death for the fun of it. Gotham, amiright? From there, Lowtown grew in size, going from a few dozen people to a hundred.
Then a thousand. Then two thousand. And so on.
Between the winter, gang war, and breakout in Arkham -- people flooded to what became Lowtown, tempted by the promise of free food, housing, and the promise that you won't be beaten to death for being homeless.
There's the context for this video that brought you here -- because Lowtown, which started out as a single abandoned train station, has become a city spanning tunnel system. And when I'm talking about tunnels, I mean tunnels people. Here's a pic I found -- three-story buildings, four-lane highway, levels of massive. Which was highly illegal, but thanks to a very broken system, Lowtown had been deemed legal by the relevant authorities which has made Saint Vergil the richest real estate owner in all of Gotham because all mentioned above has been labeled private property.
Why does this matter? Because Saint Vergil is a sarcastic little prick that's vowed to abuse the broken system of Gotham for other people's benefit rather than just the fat cats in charge.

OP forgot to mention that Saint Vergil is credited for 'killing' Two-Face/Harvey Dent in 'self-defense.'

Okay, just watched the interview -- why do people like this kid again? He just passively aggressively admitted to committing blackmail, extortion and who knows what else he did.

Huh. I heard about Lowtown but I figured that it was all bullshit. I'm going to go check it out now -- I'll post pics when I'm back.

OP also forgot to mention that Vergil has been handing out space heaters like candy for low income housing. I got one, and it's probably the only reason I still have all my fingers and toes. Gotham winters suck ass.

@SupesFan#1 It's Gotham. If Vergil came out and said that he loves this city so much and he wants it to be great? Nah, I would have called him a liar. No one likes Gotham city except for maybe Bruce Wayne, but when you have Fuck You money, I imagine your experience in Gotham is pretty different.
Vergil coming out and saying he's fueled by spite?
That I can believe.

Sainthood Enterprises? No way. I've seen the drop rates. Nothing saint like about that.

@Abyss_Watcher Preach, but I feel a bit better knowing that my money spent on anime milkies goes to a good cause.

Did some of my own research and I have some mixed feelings. @The_Charlatan was right, Vergil did kill Two-Face, who was a mentally ill mobster. Not really sure where that falls on the moral scale, but apparently Two-Face snuck a bomb in Lowtown since he thought that Vergil was secretly an asshole.
Which, to be fair, he kinda is. He's also a teenager, so that was a given.
So, in theory, Vergil's killed at least one person and he's bribed the absolute shit out of Gotham's official offices. That's pretty bad, but his heart seems to be in the right place? Has anyone here actually been in Lowtown before?
