If he put you here, he must have some authority over your watchers. If he does, then he can almost certainly order them to give you your toys back! So you force yourself to rise to your feet and grasp at the railing of your crib and look the man dead in the eye.

Unfortunately, it seems despite your effort he still doesn't understand your perfectly reasonable demand. Instead, he picks you up and sets you on his lap, where he holds you. "You're a smart one, aren't you Naruto? It's almost like you're trying to talk to me already." That's because you are, idiot. "You've certainly inherited your mothers attitude. You'll make a splendid ninja and make her proud, I'm sure..." A splendid what now? And why does this old fool think he can decide your future for you? The nerve of some people...

It does help that the Hokage isn't using very big words, too. That and I don't feel like bothering putting down sentence fragments with gibberish between and don't know enough japanese to half-translate.
 
Well. If the old man isn't going to listen to what you are trying to tell him, you might as well just go back to sleep. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to be willing to let you go back down to your crib- So instead, you simply lean back into his lap and close your eyes. Ignoring his infuriating chuckles, you drift off into slumber quickly.

The next day, you wake up in your crib. It seems he put you back when he left.

Annoyed at people's ignoring your completely logical orders merely because they cannot understand them, and aghast at the slimy muck they pretend is food, you put some serious effort into learning the local language.

It takes time and effort- But after a few months, you think you've got the vocal control to begin speaking.

At the same time, you begin working at building a stockpile of... Well, not weapons. As such. Except that handful of iron stars, and what is either a stupidly dull knife or the fanciest garden stake ever. Okay, so maybe there are a few weapons among the stockpile of things to throw at people you have stashed beneath your bed.

In your defense, if your guards hadn't wanted you to have those things they really shouldn't have let you steal them so easily.
