The first time I got to the boss fight where this plays in Xenosaga II, I left it on pause for about two hours listening to it loop. I was really sad you couldn't flip/recruit or at least spare Pellegri and Margulis, but leaving dedicated, competent enemies alive to come back at you again (when it was already the third or fourth or fifth time around too) is obviously a bad idea, so eh. I've used Pellegri's name and approximate appearance more than once for PCs in other games, and maybe someday I'll get around to one of the fanfic ideas involving one or both of them.
