this was something i was messing around last year after seeing assault on arkham

i often do these little storytelling practices, especially stuff that has a different mood from my usual work.

in this case a dark pretty much humorless retelling of harley's story.

it's an elseworlds approach so a lot of freedom was taken, but basically i had this idea of humanizing villains. harley always struck me as a fascinating character because she was a psychiatrist. she could literally recognize her own pathology while being unable to stop it

like i said, it's an elseworlds take. some things aren't the same. harley here is a skilled , if tunnelvisiones psychiatrist who sees the joker as both a challenge and a potential solution to her theory of mental disorder as a survival mechanism.

what starts of as a professional fascination goes horribly wrong.

no, it will not be finished, no it will not be published, yes this is just a bit of glorified warmup fanart :)

When I look at this image only thing on my mind is that sometimes ordinary life can be a way better setting for a harem. Come on. Tell me why living in Remnant or being trapped in virtual death game is better than being coach of female football team ( I'm not calling this sport a soccer).

Mostly, the image makes me think 'I've read enough manga to know where this is going, and if that's the beginning rather than the end, I'd seriously think about running away.'

Of course, they mostly look cheerful or pleased enough to suggest that this could be somewhere around the end (and to guess that the possible tsundere probably isn't the really violent kind).
