  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.

The SFW image thread

Okay but in the image above, Batman is clearly not wearing full-on black.

He is wearing blues and greys with some yellow.
Blue highlights for the black parts is just how DC stylizes their characters, though it's hardly uncommon. That medium grey is at a similar sturation as Robin's red and green by my eye, for likely trhe same reasons I quoted IC, making his chest insignia the most visible part of either costume after the exposed skin on the their faces. I get that it's not supposed to be taken seriously as a meme edit, but (most versions of) Bruce would take serious offense at the idea of any of their associated younger partners being set up as decoy bullet-catchers. Or anyone except the superhumans in the wider DCU who are very definitely bulletproof, for that matter, and even if I personally don't agree with his "absolutely no death is acceptable, ever" policy when it comes to certain mass murdering repeat offenders, I must give the man respect for living up to it. (And any version that does not, I refuse to accept as Batman, full stop. It's a foundational part of his character.)

Heh, I'm reminded of that old viral clip of some Russian press conference interrupted by a couple of dongcopters

edit: image removed on second thought, as it's a little less than safe for work as such. Here's a imgur link though
