He basically did pretty much the inverse, in that he kept trying to inject himself into cool bloodlines at every opportunity.

You'd think so but no Orochimaru didn't actually transplant any bloodlines in himself. He did a lot of study on bloodlines and a decent amount of injecting into other people. Himself? Jugo's curse seal stuff he gives everyone else. Leaves Karin's Uzumaki genes alone, leaves Suigetsu's water thing alone, Kimimaru he wanted as a body except for the fact that he was sick. He still didn't go to the effort of injecting this bloodline into himself with science rather than body hop. Guren? Any other probable unnamed bloodlines he grabbed to study? Dude had access to Hashirama cells and only uses them on Danzo and a bunch of orphan babies, doesn't care about them beyond that. The only bloodline he actively wanted for himself was Uchiha sharingan. Other than that the most he did was body hop which didn't demonstrate any bloodlines either. Surprisingly little self modification for bloodlines.

That's nice, still no proof of a trap option.

Ok yes, technically I have no proof for a trap option. I don't see how that's a conclusion that there isn't a trap. Even then I'm actually more pointing out less trap option more consequences for the actions you take. Like I have mentioned, even if Mio adds the demon arm on herself I do not think she will die from it. Despite that if Mio does add the demon arm I want her to be careful about it because dying is hardly the negative I think that will happen. If you look at canon and the things that have been transplanted much more mundane than a demon arm, they have plenty of negatives even with the positives they give. See curse seal and Hashirama's cells transplanted into anyone except Madara. Even Kakashi's implanted sharingan had negatives. Rather benign negatives all things considered when comparing it to the other examples. But negatives nevertheless. Up the ante to a demon arm? Logically the negatives will be much worse.

Danzo had to keep his Hashirama arm under seals so that it wouldn't take him over and turn him into a tree. What do you think a demon arm will do in someone currently much weaker and less experienced than Danzo? Furthermore without someone experienced like Orochimaru helping put it on and suppress the worst of the negatives.

You seem completely confident in the idea that adding a demon arm to Mio will give no consequence. Even if the consequence isn't explicitly stated I just don't see it being consequence free. If we do go the demon arm route I'd rather we study and prepare for it so that like Madara implanting Hashirama cells into himself, it gives no negatives and all of the positives. Thinking that this will happen with no preparation seems overly hopeful.

Does this mean that there will be consequences? Who knows? I could be entirely wrong about all this and everything goes fine. I just don't see that logically happening. Just like I don't see why you dismiss the possibility as absurd.

At this point no matter which one wins... I get what I want.

Chakra hand or Devil hand.... though one thing I noticed... the devil arm looks like it's made of stone... Maybe possible that this arm has something to do with Natural energy.

If people wanted to play things safe, they would be going for the skeleton arm or the prosthetic. Instead, they're going for the unknown mystery box and the option that Mio herself confesses is crazy. Going doom and gloom at this point isn't going to change anyone's mind.

I actually have slightly less of a problem with people wanting to go the crazy route for shits and giggles. It's the people going cool edgy demon lord arm and not thinking bad things will happen that I'm trying to convince.

And I probably am still somewhat trying to convince the others because I have read a quest in where the MC became legitimately insane and died soon after. Not the quirky amusing type of insane but legitimately insane. I don't think anyone had fun after that.

[X] Take. Plenty of arms about, attached to other things.
- [X] The bound corpse, chained and marked with ancient and crumbling sealing wards, even now seems to be reaching out from its still and permanent repose. One arm outstretched... the only portion that has not yet rotten away, but even so as black as ink or pitch and seeming like stone, with thin cracks...

For some reason this reminds me of something else... but all I can recall is Bleach, which I'm certain isn't the thing I'm thinking of.

Replacing a lost limb with an eldritch superpower arm (or perhaps superpowered eldtrich arm even) is a time honoured mythic trope that can show up in a fair number of different works

don't forget there was an Anime with a talking superpowered eldtrich Arm, If it was possible i would have voted to get a hand cannon that shoots chakra.

Vampire Hunter D
Devil May Cry 4
Inuyasha (Though to be fair eventually Seshomaru gave that up cause none of the arms were good enough for HIM and he just grew a new of his own... complete with a new sword)

Ect...

RED RIGHT HAND is an old time honoured trope.

Nah, there's certain to be some backlash, but Chibi isn't that kind of dick GM. He makes things truly fun rather than the dumb killer GM stuff like that. If it's in the premades, expect shenanigans.

Now, it's a different thing when people try write-ins.

I mean, mashing it together... is basically how skeleton arm replacement would work anyway? Because you'd basically be sticking the bones into place and then pushing fake and real arm coils through it until it took.
Ah, so doing both is irrelevant?

DuskAtDawn your thoughts on the matter? Shall we go for Skeleton arm or Chakra arm, then?

Hey now, I don't want to assume my fellow voter's position, thank you very much cx
I'm not interested in "your fellow voter's position" I'm asking why the heck you specifically are considering switching when you were told the option you want is exactly what the skeleton arm option does.

I honestly don't give a damn, and won't be changing my vote, despite it being basically worthless. I don't generally vote at all, so having my vote not count for anything matters little to me. I don't feel strongly enough about either the chakra arm or the demonic arm alone to support either choice, and there's no way skeleton arm will win anyways, so I'm going back to lurking in the shadows, having said my piece.

I am in awe of your apathy.

Teach me, O great one!

[x] Make. You have everything you need, probably.
- [x] What you need to do is to make the chakra denser. Make it physical. Bijuu do it, why can't... you might be a little insane. But that doesn't mean it won't work.

- [X] About all there is around here seems to be stone and dead trees. Can't be that hard to put a prosthetic together, right? Straight bit, bendy bit, fiddly gripping bits...

- [X] The spider that walks in the shape of a woman makes you shudder when she calls, and when she sings, to lure her prey nearer and nearer... until it is bound up in thread it does not and cannot see. She takes her time in eating them, when entrapped, and shares it bountifully out among lesser spiders. She has many arms to spare, though you doubt she will be eager to give one away...

- [X] The other thing that's here in abundance? Skeletons. Dusty, broken, but only sometimes walking around, but as a plus they generally have the right anatomy, less flesh.

And it's a Chibi original. I want it.

It's different from the chakra-limbs that every Jinchuuriki has.
Pretty sure that the changes to us and our abilities will be more than just "what every Jinchuuriki has". We've already had our strange relationship with chakra lead to nearly-free teleports and external, controllable chakra coils. I can pretty much guarantee that we'll get something cool out of pushing it that much further.

The difference is that we're essentially acting as the 'Bijuu' here. Jinchuriki can't do chakra limbs without them. Or at least I haven't seen a single instance of it.

A single roll of telepathy in in a Pmmm quest ended in summoning Wallynight 3 weeks early.
And he gave the voters the ability to loop out of that timeline, so it wasn't a bad-end, just a set-back.

Anyway, changing vote:

Because I do care. Is that so wrong to inquire before I make a choice?

The thing is, didn't Kushina have those chakra chains?
Was it ever stated if that was a truly unique ability to her/Uzumaki's?

Yes. That's why Karin displayed it later, as proof of being an Uzumaki (also, apparently it only manifests in females).

She didn't have a bijuu shoved in her belly, so it's clearly an unrelated power.

Compromise to get some of what I'm interested in?

As previously said, skeleton arm ain't winning at present.

Not that I mind the bound arm, but the effort is interesting.

Push this far enough, and we could go interesting places. Mio can already form chakra coils outside of flesh; could she figure out how to carry out more basic functions that way?

Ascension to "pure chakra entity" sounds fun.
