[Type-Moon/Original?] Making a Magi Quest

Oh, well.

[X]Train mental skills. Your adult mind is a reflection of your old soul, but your infant brain still needs stimulation.

[x]Train motor skills. The sooner you regain your physical independence the better.

[X] Train the body.

We'll need to be a beast to survive demonhunting while being prone to accidents.

[X]Sleep and dream of your past life. Maybe you were someone important, maybe not.

We need this at a level of at least knowing who we were.

If dice is going to be as bitchy as it was in every Ruyne quest, we are not going to get far. Srly, its like a curse, or something.

I see my [dice] reputation precedes me.

It does. ;)

Jokes aside, its all fun and derp all around for now, but please, do not let dice fuck things up too badly. Its seems too easy for dice to fuck up any chance of rising one young Demon Hunter into anything worthy simply by consequences of several failures.

...Just how easely we got permanent "CLUMSY IDIOT" trait...

Would you give us bonuses for write-ins and fanfiction, so we could really decide our destiny, and not helplessly watch how dice decides Kaoru life? Plans, or not, there is no glory and accomplishement in dice rolls.

I don't see why not?

You will get a very nice bonus on your rolls depending on your write ins and, fanfiction and fanart.

If the write in is suitably epic, I might even make you succeed for free!

Here I come, at deep night, but with write-ins.

______________

[x] Training of body.

Ow.

That really hurt. And was kind of embrassing - kid, or not, standing near the door is simply stupid.

...And any objects what could suddenly fall, move and sqiush your puny baby.

Thats really annoying. And scary. Mostly scary.

Even if only flickering, almost alien and hollow memories is all what left from you previous body, your body remembers.

Or, to be more accurate, you remember your body.

Incredibly powerfull and fit, it was, compared to this one.

Awe-inspiringly big and at the same time, gracefull it was, compared to the awkward movement of Kaoru Kamiyo.

Its driving you nuts.

The helplesness. The lack of movement. This weak, crippled body what left you so little options of interactions with world, and haunting memory of death on the edge of your mind, the same helpessness, so fast, so powerfull, its simply unfair-

No. Never again. NEVER AGAIN!

Your resolve rises.

Many times in many days, your close your eyes - to concentrate, to remember the annihilating lack of anything beyond mere flicker of yourself, crystal clarity of unity what is lonelless, in which one could simply lost youself to the darkness and -

breath. Truly breath, and... Not walk, yet, but move.

You live.

Your breath. Your draw in air, and blood runs in your veins, and synspses fire their commands, making your muscles move.

Every breath is a endless, beautifull song of existance. Your live, and every your breath confirms this.

To live is to move.

Concentration far surpassing normal mental prowess what child of you age should possess comes to you naturally.

Throught concentration, clarity of movement is achieved - you body moves as you minds demands it, pushing against its own crippling limits.

Throught movement, throught living, you come to understanding of your existance, and your mind becomes stronger as it start to understand its new container.

And once limits are understood... One could only try to stretch, and bend, and finally, break them.

Than furture from doors, pots and any furniture - preferably, on something soft and devoid of pointy objects - they would be broken, then better.

-------------
Write in for motor skills, but really, at that age mind is really tied to body, and then there is whole clarity of mind martial arts what are never looks like hulking brutes and all about "know your body" and invokes memory of absolute, natural concentration on your own being - absolute lonelles - and fear, and wish for freedom, movement, etc, etc...

There are many things what tied into this write-in. Most of them are simple, but working.

Interesting.

Do we have to vote for something ?

Yep, voting for development of the kid at the moment. Mind, body, sleep and dream of past life, or write-in. Zasnul did a good write-in for body, so I'll go for that.

[x] Zasnul

I don't really know, if we actually need to vote for a write-in, that's still the same action, but:

[x]Train motor skills. The sooner you regain your physical independence the better.

AN// Let's give a breakdown on what the dice roll means from now on.

Doubles = You won! Kinda...
100 = Congratulations, you Win!
90-99 = Incredible!
70-89 = Good
40-69 = Neutral
20-39 = Poor
2-19 = Oh fuck!
1 = Run for your Lives!

[X] Zasnul Write in + 1d100+30=66 + 1d100=33

Not letting your previous embarrassing failure get to you, you try to move as expertly as possible.

With purpose born of determination, you work your infantile muscles towards you goal of achieving physical independence. You breath with deliberation, and your movements are precisely calculated. Doing your best to maintain the rhythm, at any opportunity presenting itself you try to walk around.

You spend little time on your mother's lap, always trying to move around, much to her amusement.

But your father somehow see something in you that your mother missed, or perhaps was willingly pretending it weren't there.

You hear them discussing something one night, and apparently your mother doesn't approve what your father wants to do with you, though he reassures her that it isn't anything dangerous, and she knows it.

...

"Can you imitate me, Kaoru-chan? Do what I'm doing? Do you understand?"

You more or less understand him, and you nod eagerly. Japanese isn't exactly your first language, but it's incredible what a baby brain can learn just with observation alone.

What he does is deceptively simple, since apparently he isn't doing anything, but on closer inspection you realize his breathing is different from what you expect from someone in a neutral position. It's too deliberate, too measured.

Too perfect, for lack of better term.

You try to imitate him, and you even manage a close approximation for a while, but it is too tiring for you to keep up for long.

"Good girl", he says while patting you on the head, "you're quite smart, did you know that?"

Of course you do.

Master of My Own Body: Baby skill. Your general body coordination ability, such as walking, running, reflexes, etc.
  • D: At this rank you are advanced for your age. Almost prodigious, even.

Breathing: The proper way of breathing. The absorption of outer energy (breath of life) to connect your inner world to the outer world, allowing for nature interference to occur.
  • E: You know the basics of the proper way of breathing. You need to concentrate on it to use.

How do you plan to spend three months of your next year?

[ ]Sleep and dream of your past life. Maybe you were someone important, maybe not.
[ ]Train motor skills. The sooner you regain your physical independence the better.
[ ]Train mental skills. Your adult mind is a reflection of your old soul, but your infant brain still needs stimulation.
[ ]Write In.

Now that we're a prodigy at moving, verifying our reputation as a 'smart girl' seems appropriate.

[X] Train your mind.

Almost a prodigy is not a prodigy. Honestly, I prefer to push on some more, but... Well. 2-5.

I am going to think about something about mental stat training, because, fuck, without write-ins we are damned. We need those bonuses.
