ThePandaRedd, who has done a large number of parody skits involving varrious members of the Bat-Family, also posted his own tribute to Kevin Conroy, and honestly I thought it was rather touching.

But yeah, seriously this one hurts a lot. Conroy's performance as Batman was downright iconic for an entire generation of people. Hell, earlier today when I was at work, after one of my managers heard the news in the break room, his response was to start looking into the company policy for bereavement leave. And I think he was only half-joking at the time.

That makes me realize: Is Diedrich Bader now legitimately the living actor to have the most amount of screentime as Batman now? That just seems... weird to me. Like, his performance as Batman isn't bad by any means, but the shows he voiced Batman in (mainly Brave and the Bold, and the Harley Quinn show) were definitely on the more comedic side of things, and I have a hard time visualizing him handling a more serious take on things.
 
Skyrim: How do I get lots of Chokeberry and Scathecraw? I know the kajit traders have Chokeberry on occasion but I haven't seen any Scathecraw.

Passed mom watching one of those reality TV shows... "Inferno 2" I think... and realized after a moment that the 'challenge' they were doing was ripped directly off from a Mario Party minigame. Which a lot of the others I've noted either are also or could easily be.

So I guess Live Action Mario Party is a real thing.
 
Dark Souls Remastered is currently on sale for Xbox thinking about buying it. So my question is how does it handle on console and how harsh (?) is this invasion/PvP system. Also only souls like game I played where if you die and lose stuff was Code Vein.

It handles fine, though the same control jank is there, and invasions can more or less be turned off by either going into offline mode or just not restoring your humanity until you want to kindle a bonfire.
 
So, finally got around to watching Edgerunners- no spoilers, but damn- and I just had a random idea.

Lots of fic authors have come up with ideas as to why David handled his Cyberware so well for so long... and I just came up with possibly the silliest idea.

So, in 2007 they made a show called "Transformers: Animated" with some questionable AU and art decisions. Spoilers ahoy, not that anyone probably cares.



So, about halfway through the series, it's revealed that the Autobots' 'token human' was never human at all, but a baby cybertronian that fused with the DNA of the first human that touched it, disguising itself so well it didn't even know it until the big reveal- though her father did and hid it.

So, yeah, David Martinez, secretly Cybertronian. Probably ends with Optimus and Megatron duking it out in Night City, which... may not even notice the property damage, honestly. Unless Starscream blows himself up with something large enough, as he occasionally does.

Possibly blame cyberpsychosis on something Unicron left behind, or the popular plot at the time that they found part of Megatron lying around and modern Cyberware is driving people crazy because it was modeled after Decepticon-tech.


EDIT: Like most people, watching the anime is making me want to go back and maybe try to play and maybe finish the game, so I was checking out the 1.6 changelog... and found this:

...So yes, holding the (I presume) giant vibrator weapon now makes you controller vibrate until you put it down. I'm probably laughing harder than I should about this.

Well, what sort of game do you like? It's tough to give recommendations if I don't know what to look for. Though I'll echo the Portal 1 + 2 and Half-Life recommendations, they're all around good games. Also, you can pick up every game made by Valve (22 games in total) for a little under $7, the bundle is the cheapest it's ever been. For something different, Terraria is $5 and is also quite a good game.

Hmm, I'll try to recommend a few games from various genres, just search up what you find interesting. All of these should be under $5 US, but I'm not American, so some might be a bit over.

Zero-K (Total Annihilation style RTS, not like AoE or Starcraft. It's always been free, but I might as well recommend it.)

Just Cause 2, Just Cause 3 (Action-Adventures, haven't played 1 and 4 isn't that good)

The Creeper World Series (1 and 3 are Top-Down tower defence, 2 is side-on and a bit different, 4 is 3D, but I haven't played it. The games are only loosely connected so you can play them out of order without missing much)

HyperRogue (A Roguelike, not a Roguelite, the only thing that carries over between runs is your skill and knowledge)

VVVVVV (A real classic metroidvania, flipping gravity instead of jumping is a rather interesting mechanic)

Doom (1993) (A real classic FPS)

Downwell (quite fun platformer, you try to reach the bottom of a well and when you jump in midair you also shoot down)

Hacknet (hacking game, has a few custom scenarios on the Steam workshop)

Endless Space (Sci-fi turn based strategy, haven't played a lot but I did enjoy what I did)

Bayonetta (Hack and Slash, haven't finished it but I did enjoy what I played)

ClusterTruck (Parkour on moving trucks, quite fun)

I can second these. Just Cause 2 and 3 are great fun if you want some sandbox play- maps are huge and the movement is hella fun. Plus random destruction is always fun.

Creeper World is fantastic- fighting an endless wave of corrosive liquid plus a few annoying delivery vectors. 1 is easily doable, never played the full version of 2, 3 stumped me on one of the timed levels. 4 is good though, easily beatable even if you're a turtle like me :p plus it has user levels, including ones where you play as the Creeper.

VVVVVV was fun, though it's been quite a long time since I played it.

Bayonetta is good chaotic fun, but don't expect to 100% it without using cheats or exploits or just being a fucking madman. The shop prices are nuts.

On original notes... it's hard to check sale prices for games you already have.


One Way Heroics is up for 1.04, 1.75 for the plus edition which I'm not sure what all's in it. And Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics, the sequel, is .99 cents. It's a rogue-lite top-down RPG- well, enemy positions play a part and you fight on-map, but it's turn based- they don't do anything until you do. You go right, running from a wave of darkness that's destroying everything behind you, meeting and going through the stories of other party members, aiming to eventually defeat the Demon Lord to stop the wave of darkness... and then to other things. You unlock multiple classes along the way, and in the second you get alternate pictures for each class. It's a lot of fun, but it can be frustrating when you lose- as you will. Often. But you can put useful items in the Dream Vault to grab next time, unlock various perks, etc. etc.

Original Dead Rising, the original Zombies in a Mall, is up for $6 if you never played it or are feeling nostalgic and don't still have a working copy (or a working Xbox, bleh)

Fallout 4 is up for 6.59.

Hollow Knight for 7.49, excellent Metroidvania dealing with all sorts of weird bugs in a subterranean world.

Batman: Arkham Knight is up for 3.99- if you've played an Arkham game, you know what to expect. Reviews got a little slammed because of the game's overuse of the Batmobile, but it's a decent conclusion, I thought.

Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition isn't on sale- but it's $5 base now, apparently, great Metroidvania about creatures of light and darkness in accidental conflict, very atmospheric and fast, and the sequel, Ori and the Will of the Wisps is up for 9.89.

And I think I'll leave it there.
 
If you want ultra-cheap, Vampire Survivors is a simple but very addicting survival rogue-like.
