[X] MirrorVerse - 5
[X] Aftermath - 4
[X] NSW - 3
[X] Really Bad End - 2
[X] Confrontation - 1
And another few rounds where our counts match, Ack.
Milestones: At the end of the past round, counting points since the beginning of a separate voting thread, with 2041, Recoil becomes the first to pass 2000 total points. And with 1030, One More Trigger joins the four-digit club.
-The important value for the purpose of story order is the one that Ack is listing. That's the reason why if number of votes per round is mentioned in the vote end posts, it's as an addendum. It's neat information, but in isolation, an individual round's point gains don't determine anything.
I track a bunch of figures and try to make sure to distinguish them when describing them, but sometimes use shorthand whose exact meaning needs to be interpreted using context. The main ones are:
-running total: Ack's listed totals that get reset when they come highest in a round.
-cumulative total, or overall total: points gained since splitting the vote thread from the Omake Corner
-round total (usually by fic): points gained in a given voting round.
-voters per round
-points per voter per round
-average point gain per round (by fic)
For specific purposes I also split things out. For instance, in another five rounds, this thread will have had the same number of rounds (12) as there were since we started voting on the current slate of fics on the NSFW voting thread, and I'll check what differences, if any there have been. If Ack decides to add or remove another fic to the slate before then, I'll probably go early so that the data sets are more comparable.

Or possibly Aftermath. I'm having different thoughts about my earlier assessment. In the past three rounds it got 21, 34, and 23 points more than MirrorVerse. With MirrorVerse's lead down to just 38 points, it's quite feasible for it to go One More Trigger, Aftermath, MirrorVerse, which, with 472 points at the start of this round, opens up the possibility that MirrorVerse will end up with the highest first win total (over Brian & Aisha's 501), to go with its record of most rounds to get to that point (42 by then), and lowest number of points gained per round (~12.35).From current trends, I would imagine One More Trigger to be next, followed by MirrorVerse.
To expand on what Ack's already said, since I'm possibly contributing to the confusion with the stats observations I've been making:I'm confused, are these additive? Because my math says Panacea with 65 beat Recoil with 64. Don't get me wrong, I prefer Recoil, I'm just trying to figure out how voting works exactly.

On that note, if you're on a roll with Nemesis, I'm not in favour of your adding it to the voting yet. Often fics don't start getting substantial numbers of votes until they've had a few chapters anyway (see Trump Card), and it might benefit from being a bit more established. Not that being in the vote rounds would stop you from writing more if you felt like it, but if you're going to be writing it anyway, then may as well let people put their votes towards other fics since there are already plenty of options, some of which could do with the votes. You've mentioned a few fics are winding down relatively soon, so you could add Nemesis as a replacement when that happens. Or if that's too far off, you could wait a few (say five?) more rounds until the SFW vote thread has had as many rounds as the NSFW one with this slate.Well, Nemesis is out there now. Please don't vote for it, but feel free to leave a comment with your vote if you think it should join the voting round. (I might be doing a second part to it soon anyway).
