Vote Thread for Ack's Omake Corner

[X] TRUMP CARD - 6
[X] HOSTAGE SITUATION - 5
[X] RECOIL - 4
[X] ONE MORE TRIGGER - 3
[X] SECURITY - 2
[X] ALL ALONE - 1

Give a chance to read its latest chapter, skipping all the previous ones. I was also utterly uninterested in the story until the situation present in the latest chapter was introduced (becoming cleat it would be the case in the chater before that). I actually think that would have been a good place for Ack to have started the entire story.
Yeah, I read through it once but forgot most. Then I read the most recent update out of interest. Dayum.

[If you want to know which of these stories is NSFW, check the first post of the thread..]

Yes, it's a double helping of NSFW, with NSW followed by RBE. Yeah, that'll be fun ... maybe. For a given definition of 'fun'.

Anyway,too tired to comment coherently.

Check out Jim Starluck 's spreadsheet for a reasonable prediction.

Note also that the vote counting script given to me by Throne3d was of huge assistance.

Anyway, thanks again for voting, and I hope you enjoy reading the stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

For anyone who hasn't voted on this thread before, the voting rules go as follows:

1) UP TO six votes. I will not count anything extra, and a write-in will likely be ignored (if I want to write a different story, I will, but at my own discretion). Suggestions are welcome, but I am under no obligation to carry them out. And just remember, the more stories I am writing, the longer it will take for your favourites to roll back around.
2) First vote is worth six points, second is worth five, and so on.
3) You can't vote twice on the same story. The voting code will count the last vote and ignore previous ones.
4) If I say "Voting is CLOSED", then this post comes up, with "Voting is OPEN" at the bottom, then you can vote again.
5) If I say "Voting will continue", it's still the same voting period. Voting has not restarted. You can not vote a second time.

Vote format looks like this:

[X] Alea Iacta Est - 6
[X] I, Panacea - 5
[X] Security! - 4
[X] Recoil - 3
[X] Trump Card - 2
[X] NSW - 1

Specifically: SQUARE brackets around an X, one space, and please spell at least the first word of the name of the story properly. Number of voting points comes last. Please try to format your vote properly, so as not to confuse the vote counter.

Thank you.

Voting is OPEN.

I dunno, things were looking up in the last chapter of RBE, what with Dinah's badass moment. Probably still not going to turn out all that well, but at least she's probably taken psycho!Amy out of the picture.

Anyway, predictions.

Really Bad End is indeed a shoe-in for Vote 90, with a projected margin of nearly 70 votes. Alea Iacta Est is even moreso in Vote 91, at a margin of more than 190. But the round after that is a close one; Trump Card currently leads by a hair, with All Alone only 4 votes behind. Trump Card is generally the stronger vote-getter, but All Alone has been building up to this for quite some time; some determined vote-trading could swing this one way or the other. Whichever of them loses gets the consolation prize of winning Vote 93.

Vote 94 is probably going to my personal favorite when it comes to naughtiness: Meet the Heberts has finally earned enough votes to win with a margin of just over 30. The up-and-coming Slippery Slope finally climbs to the top in Vote 95, winning by 50 votes, followed by the ever-popular Recoil in Vote 96. Currently only projected to win by a margin of 26, but I expect that to strengthen as it draws near and fans help push it over the finish line.

Another up-and-comer, Confrontation II, looks set to take home Vote 97 with a margin in the mid-50s. The last two votes of this forecast are a bit narrower, however. I, Panacea is just a bit ahead of Danny & Taylor, which in turn has two far more popular stories -- Wyvern and Security! -- coming around for their next laps. At the moment I, Panacea is 14 votes ahead of D&T, which is in turn 6 votes ahead of Wyvern, but that's over a month out so who knows where it'll wind up.

Past that point, estimated rounds-to-win are:

Alea Iacta Est: 3
All Alone: 20
Bait & Switch: 23
Confrontation II: 19
Danny & Taylor: 35
Hostage Situation: 6
I, Panacea: 12
Junior Hero: 6
Meet the Heberts: 16
MirrorVerse: 12
NSW: 14
Nemesis: 12
One More Trigger: 6
Really Bad End: 40
Recoil: 8
Security!: 0
Slippery Slope: 13
Trump Card: 5
War Games: 3
Wyvern: 0

Again, that count starts at Vote 99, not today's vote.

Accuracy for Vote 89 was 98.67% overall, with an average difference of 8. Most accurate was Junior Hero, which came in exactly on-target at 100% accuracy. Least accurate was split: Recoil was furthest off proportionally, at 95.90%, while Slipper Slope was furthest off in raw votes -- it came in 25 votes ahead of expectations.

And, as usual, my vote:
[X] Meet the Heberts - 6
[X] NSW - 5
[X] Security! - 4
[X] War Games - 3
[X] One More Trigger - 2
[X] Recoil - 1

[X] Nemesis - 6
[X] Junior Hero - 5
[X] Recoil - 4
[X] Slippery Slope - 3
[X] Wyvern - 2
[X] Hostage Situation - 1

[X] Alea Iacta Est - 6
[X] Recoil - 5
[X] Trump Card - 4
[X] Security! - 3
[X] Junior Hero - 2
[X] Nemesis - 1

[X] Wyvern - 6
[X] I, Panacea - 5
[X] Recoil - 4
[X] Slippery Slope - 3
[X] Alea Iacta Est - 2
[X] Trump Card - 1

[X] Wyvern - 6
[X] I, Panacea - 5
