It's not technically abandoned (assuming you're talking about the ketka one), but like most fics that involve a power that increases exponentially, it's turned into a complete curb stomp, which is off putting to most people. I have a quarian one in my snippets thread you might want to check out.

Not really, in those cases you should send a personal message or ask in their profile. Because if not other people will think its a new chapter just to have their hope cruelly killed. But its normal to make mistakes, so dont worry about it too much, as now you know! :)
I have a question here after seeing other complain about the cons of your writing (great writing but tend to get bored easily and drop it).
