It's really something when the simple words of "修复手术" immediately evokes the meaning of "hymen reconstruction surgery". Like, in the kdramas and cdramas (web dramas too), apparently this is part of the common tactic employed when a poor girlfriend can't get with her rich boyfriend (due to family disagreement), so she does this, gets with some other rich guy, kills him, inherits his shit lmao

To be honest, those AI audiobooks are pretty nice, because they use AI to generate pictures of the scenes and then animate them, so it's like segments of like 5 second videos that string together to complement the ongoing story, which really makes the listening experience

though, the downside is they often add BGM into the video, which can be disgusting

I Completely understand. IRL stuff always takes priority. I'm willing to wait however long it takes. Especially for something of really good quality like "The Lust" snippets have consistently been.

Lately, I've been running into a lot of stories that are filled with filler, like you'd read a chapter and realize that there's like five sentences of the entire thing that has actual substance, you know, like, it's like the microtransactions of stories

It's just that most stories here with some level of popularity get AI voiced, if not professional audiobooks with multiple actors and sound effects (yeah they do audiobooks of fanfics too lmao), so when it gets wordy around the middle of the story after the pace slows down, I have to get up every minute or two to skip ahead 10-30 seconds, which is hella annoyinggg

Yeah, there's a lot of them on bilibili and even on youtube, but you know, most of it is chinese, english versions are hundreds of chapters behind and often a lot worse, because, you know, translation

Did you decide to drop the cyclops SI? was getting super interesting, and even as someone who's never really read any of the books was actually really easy to understand, would not be surprised if you were a real part time author just because of how immersed you got me.
