Ironically it wasn't even the author or the story being wrong the fic on itself was representing things like reservations on itself like bad things and a step too far for any moral code (because yeah), and there come this person just doing the equivalent of fucking ignoring the same author was criticizing that sort of measures

If so, did it touch too closely on the same beats and tropes as For the Love of Kung-Fu? Was it just a case of writing it and coming back later only to find you would want to rewrite it? Or was it as simple as it lacking general interest, it not getting commissioned or you just losing the spark for writing it?
