  • An addendum to Rule 3 regarding fan-translated works of things such as Web Novels has been made. Please see here for details.
  • Due to issues with external spam filters, QQ is currently unable to send any mail to Microsoft E-mail addresses. This includes any account at live.com, hotmail.com or msn.com. Signing up to the forum with one of these addresses will result in your verification E-mail never arriving. For best results, please use a different E-mail provider for your QQ address.
  • For prospective new members, a word of warning: don't use common names like Dennis, Simon, or Kenny if you decide to create an account. Spammers have used them all before you and gotten those names flagged in the anti-spam databases. Your account registration will be rejected because of it.
  • Since it has happened MULTIPLE times now, I want to be very clear about this. You do not get to abandon an account and create a new one. You do not get to pass an account to someone else and create a new one. If you do so anyway, you will be banned for creating sockpuppets.
  • Due to the actions of particularly persistent spammers and trolls, we will be banning disposable email addresses from today onward.
  • The rules regarding NSFW links have been updated. See here for details.

  • Looking back, something like a simultaneous crossover isekai thing is probably rather ambitious if I actually want to write it good, and a lot of work, rather than if it was fast food type of writing/reading

Yesh. It ish big and requires work
The "I can break 4th wall and change the narrative" genre is pretty fun.

"The hero waited outside for the man to finish showering." -> "The hero waited inside for the man to finish showering."

"The hero awakened his gamer cheat system." -> "The hero awakened his farting cheat system."

"The dog bit down on the hero's hand." -> "The dog bit down on the hero's dick."

Like, yes, you're basically fucking with people on one hand, and you're fucking with the universe by altering the setting via narration, which is like conceptual/laws-of-the-universe kind of reality warping, but it's limited enough and defined enough that it's kind of interesting to watch develop

It feels like "robo pussy" is because author can't regular pussy, after all why isn't there a "robo peepee"?
You know, it never made any sense to me that "真・三國無双", which means "True Unrivaled Three Kingdoms", somehow got translated as "Dynasty Warriors"

where the fuck did the "dynasty" come from, is it like only China has dynasties or some shit
It would have been kind of cool if DND monks could have borrow from classic wuxia like Tianlong Babu, but it seems like it was created without research using cultural osmosis like if some 90's USAn wrote about "anime highschool" after watching Ranma and Eva :(
For some reason, many puppets in wuxia and xianwu seem to all be "autonomous, mobile, perpetual motion"... basically like ancient wooden robots wtf
So there's a Chinese idiom for "your mouth says no, but your body says yes", being "口是心非". Four words to say so much, very fun.

Merry Christmas, Bii. I have a question for you, if you don't mind.

I have a friend who posted a Quest in the NSFW section of the forum, one which crosses Gundam SEED with cyberpunk, and I'm helping him write it. So, we're currently wondering which sub-forum of QQ would be the right fit for a vote on the rest of the Combat Party for this particular Quest. Would it be NSFW Questing or NSFW Q&R Index?

Mew's Chinese names are 夢夢 and 梦幻, but "meng" is also "moe", so 小梦 can be小萌, which is "komoe",

I forgot where I was going with this asI typed it

If you had checked the FAQ, you'd see you need to make a post on a thread for your account to AUTOMATICALLY be approved.

Mods don't have the ability to verify accounts, that would need to be done via the e-mail sent during the account creation. Or the admins would need to do that.
Unless you mean getting your first post n the site approved, so you can post elsewhere?

excuse me how long does it take to get approved? i have been waiting for a couple weeks now and i still haven't been approved yet. can i please get some help with that? the contact us feature doesn't seem to have helped any. (edit: yeaaaa i dont know the guy talking below me...)
They say Jin Yong's first love was a girl who was NTR'd from him by her cousin, which is why in all his wuxia stories, whenever there's an older male cousin who is the crush of the female main character, he would always be an asshole who takes her love for granted and tramples on her feelings.
There is a martial arts idiom that goes, "The hands are two doors, rely on feet to hit"; but it doesn't mean what you think it means. Instead, it means that the hands are like doors that must stay closed, or else you have no defense (especially for head). More importantly, the feet doesn't mean "kick", but "footwork".

I see some casuals writing in their story about how "every martial arts is a different dialect of the same language" or "martial arts are just flowery bullshit" or whatever Americanisms that tend to pop up in shitty writing, but there's actually a lot of wisdom in martial arts that seems to be ignored by the ignorant. Sad.
Why is it that some people in HK or TW like to add a "Sir" at the end of their names? It's kind of strange, you know, when someone calls themselves, like, "Biigoh Sir", instead of just "Sir" or "Sir Biigoh", idk.

I'm impatient to an immature degree so I'm also going to ask here after asking 2 other mods:
I'm new to the whole forum/thread/quest thing, and I'm completely lost. I can't for the life of me figure out what the hell is happening. Can you give me a generalized run down of how tf this all works because I feel like I'm missing something, especially with the quests?
I think it was around the time Saekano released that the idea that "tsundere" attribute characters being the final winners in a romance became less like reality and more like a Hollywood lie, well, not Hollywood, but you know what I mean, anime, like a media lie, so these days you don't see many tsundere childhood friend main character female characters anymore

It feels like most Chinese stories from a female protagonist POV tends to portraying modern society as feudal society and feudal society as slave society
