Governor's Gambit - Star Wars SI into Imperial Governor

Either these new Mandalorians become mid-boss for the Pirate King or they become subordinate to the governor and indirectly promotes Mandalorian culture to the system.

I support the latter.

why do I get the feeling he's going to end up the "emperor" of a splinter factions of the empire thag actual functions well. And is some insane mix of mando, empire and old republic ideal.

And having three mando commandos on the payroll is never a bad idea.

Mugwuffin gives me a look. "Shut up! I'm an adult. I can lie to myself all I want!" She huffs, as if saying "Sure" sarcastically, and goes back to sleep. Smug alien cat. Shouda left you in that cage.
How long until the MC realizes that Mugwuffin is:

  1. Fully sapient
  2. A mind reader
  3. Is spying on him for the Star Wars version of the Time Variance Authority

I'm thinking there's some Nibbler shenanigans at play here!

Gozanti Class my beloved, cheap enough to rival a Wolf class in starsector for hunting tactics, enough weight to bring a squadron of fighters/bombers each, and with the logistical advantage to saturate with fighter coverage, 2-3 small weapons and 1 medium if memory dont fail me, it breaks my heart to replace them with lancers later on, but these beauties never fail, more if u replace the fighters with mobile suits.

Interdictors are comparatively new and Admirals are basically fighting each other to get their hands on them first. Getting one as a governor in some backwater? Not happening.
Not really, as I posted previously the Detainer exists, its a clone wars era interdictor, they are out of date now and are fazed out, but there should be some for sale as used.

Edit: There's also it successor the CC-7700 frigate, which is current, if lightly armed and armored.

Wait a minute wasn't this thread in NSFW not to long ago?

I love this, I can't wait for his first meeting with Kel where he's trying to hold a conversation while all he can think is "Death by Snu-Snu." That is a really cool looking ship design too, but I think it's kind of funny how most freighters in Star Wars look like someone got halfway through building the Millenium Falcon in Space Engineers and then the ADHD kicked in. Which, I'll be honest, describes about half of my blueprints list so I know what I'm talking about.

Nah, Mugwuffin is either a spy/infiltrator of the Vong, a unknown alien species, or another SI that was slowly going mad from the lack of earth/familiar food then it got salvation by The Sandwich Smack and decided to stay with this guy that's making Earth food.

Apparently he's a crazy magnet. Cool chapter.

"Understood sir. I'll contact the Commodore and get the plan underway. I'll make sure they're equipped and trained properly, sir. But…before I go, sir, I wished to ask how the other part of the plan is going. If it's not to forward of me, sir."
There isn't really a reason for a seasoned officer to be spamming sir like this. That's something a nervous recruit would be doing and sounds like a stutter. Here is a light edit. It only cuts out one and rearranges a sentence a little bit but I think it makes it less stuttering:

"Understood sir. I'll contact the Commodore and get the plan underway. I'll make sure they're equipped and trained properly... Sir, before I go, I wished to ask how the other part of the plan is going. If it's not to forward of me, sir."

I still feel like the second or third sir could be cut but it's fine. Edit: I'd probably drop the third one

Problem is, as far as I understand, the main reason they switched to Interdictor was due to previous ships with the same role being pretty shit at their job. Especially with advances in hyperdrive technology. Detainer and Co could stop light ships but I doubt they would be able to catch Lucrehulk for example, especially pirate modified or one of the military modifications from Clone Wars. Interdictor on the other hand is capable of dragging whole fleets out of hyper.
Why are star wars cargo ships always circular?
Circular or square shape makes for a compact ship that is easy to squeeze into limited space and to load or unload cargo. Imagine the length of Lucrehulk if it was of a more classical shape.

From what little we have they seem to have trouble in strength both of their armor and weapons, but they seem to be good enough the New Republic used them up until 44ABY which is insane, also if we want to splurge we could get the beefed up version, the CC-7700/E interdiction cruiser. Otherwise it seems to be a mix of classification, style(Interdictor had the classic Star destroyer design and a major part of the Imperials decisions involve making sure there equipment strikes fear into the populace), and finally the fact it was made by CEC which means it wasn't a government owned company.

nice chapter thx for writing it
fun seeing more interesting people coming to the mc :D

Wait a fucking fuck, the mandalorians colonized mandalore system not in spite of but rather because of the mythosaurs (being one of the reasons), how much do you all want to bet the MC will point the mandos at "legally distinct catachan" and a fuckton of mandos are just going to show up and colonize the planet for him while absorbing the native population

Truth to be told, why he didn't paid all those fourty million credits to fett or kad bane to kill those pirate couple? Like sure, he wouldn't have ended up with a flotila that way but... He would remove the obstacle. And empire were hiring bounty hunters, like that vader scene.

That'd still leave all the pirates, and doesn't prepare them for future instances of something similar.

nice chapter. You mean Grand Admiral Veer of the Minda Empire? She has a Belator. (Seriously now, although it would fit well) if Clok has a refueling station. They should really have fuel production facilities too. But it looks like Clok has a halfway decent governor. Edin is different. You'd have to go through the Inquisition for a system with so many planets/moons, and then not even be able to control the main planet. But the positive thing is that his bloodthirsty troops can clean up a bit. Ooh, the Mandalorians will love him. I think Edin will be the next system he controls. And hey, free Lucrehulk and infiltration training. His kitty is so intelligent. I can already see Minda becoming the system with the highest population of Mandolorians.

If the Mandalorians and Commander Grant ever set foot onto that Lucrehulk, they won't be trapped on the ship with the pirates and droids. The pirates and droids will, instead, be trapped with the Mandalorians and the most bloodthirsty Alderaanian the galaxy will ever see.
