Chapter 1

The curse's grasp tightened around Yuji, its grip like a vice that threatened to crush him into nothingness. His muscles screamed in protest as he strained against its hold, his entire being focused on one desperate goal: survival. But it was a losing battle, and he could feel the curse slowly engulfing him.

The pain was overwhelming, every inch of his body burning with an intensity that made him want to scream. At this moment, Yuji Itadori accepted his imminent death, knowing there was nothing more he could do to stop it. He would become just another victim of the curse's insatiable hunger.

Yuji Itadori was about to die, unable to do anything but accept his fate.

FROOSHH!!!

Well, besides swallowing a pruned-up curse finger…

…Gross.

The cursed spirit, filled with malice and intent to kill Yuji Itadori, was swiftly vanquished in a single, powerful swing. The force of the blow ripped through its body, tearing apart its guts and flesh in agonizing pain.

Megumi, a skilled jujutsu sorcerer tasked with retrieving the rare and dangerous curse-grade object, could only watch on in shock and horror as it happened. It was a one-in-a-million chance for someone to survive an encounter with such a powerful spirit, but the worst-case scenario had occurred - their body was taken over by the cursed object.

At that moment, all Megumi could feel was a sense of dread and unease at the unpredictable nature of curses and their effects on humans.

As Yuji's body trembled with a surge of power, dark tattoos began to coil and writhe across his skin like living vines. The pale complexion of a dying man was now consumed by an ominous darkness, transforming him into something otherworldly. His once warm and gentle eyes were now replaced with pools of inky blackness, mirroring the monstrous strength that pulsed through his veins.

Sukuna, the king of curses, was now in control of Yuji's body.

Sukuna seemed to scrutinize every inch of Yuji's body, flexing the muscles and moving each joint with a sense of curiosity and wonder. He extended his fingers, examining the lines of ink that swirled around them, lingering on the residue of pain left by the curse that had attempted to claim Yuji's life moments before.

Megumi watched in tense silence as the king of curses examined the body he had taken over. Unable to do anything but watch due to his injured body and the overwhelming fear.

But as he began to understand the full extent of his new form, a smile appeared on his face. His eyes scanned the area, landing on Megumi who was still frozen in place. The king of curses strolled towards him with a newfound swagger, his powerful aura radiating around him like an oppressive fog.

Megumi's heart pounded against his ribcage like a trapped bird desperate for escape. He had faced dangerous curses before, but nothing compared to this legendary entity before him.

In his entire career as a jujutsu sorcerer, Megumi had never felt such a crippling terror. His every instinct screamed at him to flee, but his body was still reeling from the ball of fear and anxiety that had lodged itself in his throat. His hands shook, and his knees felt weak as he watched Sukuna, in Yuji's body, approach him.

The king of curses stopped abruptly just a few feet from Megumi and leaned his head down, giving him an appraising look before letting out an amused smile. "Yo! You mind telling me where the best sushi place is? Because I am staaarrrrvvvvingggg~!"

The abrupt levity in Sukuna's voice caught Megumi off guard. He blinked and swallowed hard, wondering if this was some twisted form of psychological trickery. Megumi had studied the lore and legends about him, but none had mentioned Sukuna's predilection for sushi.

Sukuna cocked Yuji's head to the side, awaiting his response. The stark contrast between his happy-go-lucky tone and the chilling aura that still radiated around him was unnerving. He watched as Megumi stammered for a moment, thrown by the unexpected question.

"I- I don't... I'm not… what?" Megumi finally managed; his voice filled with confusion at the unexpected situation.

Sukuna only chuckled in response, the sound reverberating through the air like a loud war drum. "Not sure; huh? Well, that's too bad! I was hoping to enjoy some good sushi!"

His lips curved into a smirk as he shrugged his broad shoulders, taking a step back from the bewildered Megumi. His dark eyes lifted to the starlit sky; the glittering constellations reflected in their depths. A sense of wild freedom welled up within him, pulsing through his veins like a heady drug.

But as he gazed at the sprawling cityscape before them, his momentary mirth gave way to contemplation. The twinkling lights and low hum of civilization seemed to beckon Sukuna closer, tempting him with all the possibilities and dangers that lay within. He couldn't resist the promise of chaos and excitement that lurked within those distant streets.

"Perhaps I'll just have to find out for myself," he mused aloud, his tone laced with delight. He flexed Yuji's fingers one more time, the shadows cast by the swirling tattoos dancing over his skin. " I've never been to Japan before. "

However, before he could even take a single step toward the direction of the city, his right hand moved on its own outside of his control and grabbed his face. The owner of the body that he had taken over was fighting back for control.

"Oi, give back my body," Yuji said plainly, slowly regaining control of his body from the king of curses. He struggled, his grip tightening around his face as he battled Sukuna's influence.

"Oh, come on! I've been sealed inside that finger for over a thousand years! I just want to eat good sushi and enjoy myself!" Sukuna complained with a pout, even as Yuji's grip on his face tightened.

"I don't care! Give me back my body!"

"Just a couple of minutes! Don't be stingy!"

"I said no!"

They stood there locked in this unusual struggle, a wrestling match for control of a body that was both Yuji's and Sukuna's.

Megumi watched, wide-eyed and baffled, as the two argued over the control of the body. The sight was surreal and oddly comical in the midst of such a dire situation. He remained silent, unsure of how to intervene or even if he should.

In the end, Yuji regained control, wrenching his body away from Sukuna's influence. His body slumped slightly, exhaustion seeping into his bones from the strain of his ordeal. His skin lightened, the inky tattoos receding back to a pale white on his skin. He looked up to meet Megumi's gaze, his eyes soft and apologetic.

"I'm sorry about that," he mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

Megumi blinked in surprise as he watched Yuji regain control, the dark tattoos disappearing completely from his skin. For a moment, everything remained utterly quiet, the only sound being both of their breaths echoing in the silent night.

The silence hung heavy, like a thick blanket, as Megumi tried to comprehend the surreal exchange he had just witnessed. He had been on hair-trigger alert, ready to throw himself into mortal combat with one of the most formidable curses in history. Yet he had ended up witnessing a bizarre argument about sushi between the two cohabitants of Itadori's body.

"Itadori... you regained control?" Megumi asked, unsure if it really was Yuji or if it was the king of curses acting like it was.

"Yeah, I did," Yuji confirmed with a sigh of relief, sagging visibly. "But that was... odd."

He ran a hand through his hair, glancing away.

With narrowed eyes, Megumi studied Yuji with intense scrutiny. His gaze lingered on his face for a long moment before he finally released a breath that he hadn't even realized he was holding. The tension in the room seemed to dissipate slightly, but Yuji couldn't shake off the unease that still lingered within him. As long as Sukuna wasn't in control, they were safe for now.

Megumi let out a low groan as he rubbed his temples, trying to soothe the throbbing headache that pulsed behind his eyes. The last few minutes had been filled with fear and anxiety, leaving him feeling drained and battered.

"Odd is an understatement," he muttered in response to Yuji's statement, his voice sounding weak and strained.

"We should take you to the hospital," Yuji suggested, concern etched on his face. "You look really beaten up."

The two stood there in awkward silence for a moment, the eerie quiet of the city streets echoing around them. The chaotic events of the evening had left the air heavy with an odd tension, a sense of unease that wasn't easily dissipated.

"If you're just going to stand there, do you mind going to a good sushi restaurant?" Sukuna's voice cut into the silence, his deep voice breaking through the bizarre casualness of the situation. His voice was clear, originating from within Yuji but definitely did not belong to him.

Yuji's eyes widened in shock at the sight of a second mouth that formed on the side of his face, an unexpected and bizarre sight.

"Enough with the sushi already!" Yuji protested, wincing slightly as if battling a persistent headache. Megumi flinched at the sound of Sukuna's voice, suddenly aware of the constant looming danger they were in.

"I'm not asking for much here! I just want some sushi, is that too much to ask?" Sukuna grumbled; his petulance reminiscent of a spoiled child denying his favorite toy. It was an absurd situation - to be bargaining with an ancient curse, especially one known for its malevolent power and cruelty.

As the grotesque mouth moved, Yuji tried to cover it with his hand, only for it to lick him.

"What the hell? You licked me?!" He complained, pulling away his hand to inspect the hand that was licked.

"Quit your whining, it's just a little bit of saliva! No big deal." Sukuna retorted; his voice full of amusement. "You humans are so delicate, aren't you?"

"Delicate? You just fricking licked me!" Yuji protested, rubbing his hand on his pants in disbelief. It was a strange sight, a man arguing with himself under the moonlight during the night.

Megumi, who had been silently watching the absurd spectacle unfold, could only heave a sigh of irritation. What was supposed to be a serious and possibly life-threatening situation had somehow devolved into an argument about sushi and licking between the king of curses and high school student.

As the jujutsu sorcerer watched the two argue back and forth, the black-haired teen never noticed the figure dressed in all black appearing beside him.

"Yo Megumi, what's the situation?" A voice suddenly asked, making the boy flinch back at the unexpected presence of the person next to him.

"Gojo sensei!?" Megumi shouted out in surprise, not expecting him to be there. "What are you doing here?!"

The man was decked out in the usual jujutsu sorcerer attire that was all black and baggy. What stood out however was the black blindfold that was on his face that pushed up his white hair into spikes. He looked oddly similar to a certain ninja in a certain anime.

Gojo, instead of answering Megumi, pulled out a phone from his pocket and began taking pictures of Megumi's down body. The flashing light that came from the phone as it took pictures was blinding.

"The second years will get a kick out of this! Ahaha!" Gojo said, smiling as he rapidly took pictures of his down student. Megumi's expression darkened with frustration as he glared at his sensei, his eyes conveying his complete lack of amusement. "I wasn't going to, but the higher-ups wanted me to come since a special grade item went missing."

The teen stared at the man, completely done with him as he noticed a bag belonging to a popular dessert shop. He put two and two together and realized Gojo took his time getting here.

Frustrated with the lack of seriousness in his sensei, Megumi reached out and snatched the phone from his hand, ending the outrageous photo session.

"Enough with the games, Gojo sensei," he gritted out through clenched teeth, glaring at his mentor. "We're dealing with a situation here."

"Oh right! Did you manage to find it?" He asked, seeming to finally understand the seriousness of the situation, but his breezy demeanor remained unscathed, much to Megumi's irritation.

Yuji, who was busy arguing with the king of curses, overheard the conversation and raised his hand while the other hand was pressed against his cheek. The sound of muffled yelling could be heard coming from his hand, and Yuji doing his best to ignore it.

"I uh ate it?" The pink-haired teen said hesitantly, hoping it wasn't as bad as it sounded. His eyes flew to Megumi for a moment, before focusing back on Gojo, his hand still pressed against his cheek.

Gojo's face turned to Yuji, amusement quickly morphing to surprise.

"You what?" he asked, a hint of disbelief creeping into his usually easygoing voice. "For real?"

"For real/For real," Both Yuji and Megumi said at the same time.

"Hmph! Hmm!!!" Sukuna's muffled agreement could be heard.

Gojo's eyes widened beneath the blindfold, a gasp escaping his lips.

"Well, now isn't that something," he mumbled, momentarily at a loss for words as he stepped closer to the pink-haired teen. Taking a good long look, Gojo saw that what he said was true and laughed.

"Oh, that's rich," he chuckled, slapping his knee with glee. "The boy who swallowed a special grade curse!"

His laughter echoed through the quiet streets, filling the tense silence with its energetic rhythm. "Can you switch back to Sukuna?"

"Sukuna?" Itadori asked, having no idea who this Sukuna was, rubbing his head in confusion.

"Ah, yes, right." Gojo's laugh faded quickly. He cleared his throat, crossing his arms over his chest as he turned to face Yuji more fully. "The King of Curses... the finger you ate and got taken over by."

"Oh! Yeah, I think I so?"

"Good! Ten seconds after ten seconds take control again."

The jujutsu sorcerer's eyes gleamed behind his intricately designed mask as he began to stretch and prepare for the battle ahead. He could feel the energy of the strongest curse pulsing against his skin, like a dangerous current waiting to strike.

"Wait!" Yuji protested, "You're not planning on fighting me... or rather, Sukuna, are you? Here? Now?"

"Don't worry! After all,... I'm the strongest." Gojo's voice was filled with nothing but confidence as he made that declaration. After a good stretch, he turned away from Yuji and handed Megumi his bag of mochi, with the black-haired teen giving him a dead-eyed stare.

His dead-eyed stare widened however as he noticed something at incredible speeds from behind Gojo's back.

"Sensei, behind you!" Megumi warned, pointing towards the incoming threat.

The words had barely left Megumi's mouth before Gojo spun around, his eyes intense and focused, even beneath the obscuring blindfold.

With a burst of speed that made the air crackle around him, Sukuna lunged towards him.

Gojo smugly smiled as he waited for the king of curses to attack.

…The threat, however, wasn't aimed at him, but at the small bag of mochi he'd just handed to Megumi.

Megumi, still in shock, didn't have time to react. The bag was taken from his hands in a blink of an eye.

"Score! Thanks for the food!" Sukuna thanked Gojo before stuffing the sweet treat into his mouth.

Gojo's smile slipped off his face, replaced by a look of horror.

"My mochi!" he choked out, reaching out as if he could pull the sweet treats back from the mouth of the King of Curses.

Megumi flashed Gojo an unamused look.

"Really, sensei?" he demanded, "That's what you're concerned about right now?"

"Of course!" Gojo snapped back, looking genuinely put out. "That was high-quality mochi!"

Sukuna, meanwhile, was laughing boisterously as he devoured the last piece of mochi. His eyes locked onto Gojo's, and his lips curled in a smirk.

"Delicious," he taunted, licking his fingers for good measure.

Yuji's eyes widened as he took over again and bowed his head to Gojo and apologized profusely.

"Ah! Sorry, sorry! I didn't know he would do that!" He quickly apologized.

"You better be sorry! You know how long I waited to have that delicious treat!?" Gojo pouted as he folded his arms and looked away from the bowing student to show just how mad he was.

Megumi, overlooking everything that was happening, could only sigh to himself and think about the choices he made in life that led up to this.

Chapter 2: Execution New
Chapter 2

"Wakey~ Wakey~ Eggs and Bakey!"

A weirdly cheerful voice cut through the silence of the room, disturbing the rope-bound teenager who was currently passed out on a wooden chair.

"H-Hm?" The high school student moaned as they slowly woke up from their nap.

"Morning sleeping head! Did ja have a nice nappy nap?" Gojo Satoru asked, sitting leisurely on a chair directly in front of the teen.

Yuji stared at the white-haired man, his brain unable to fully process what was happening due to his half-awake state. He shook his head as if that would help the gears in his brain start turning again.

"Wha-at?" Yuji slurred, squinting his eyes at the man as if he were a puzzle to be solved.

Gojo Satoru chuckled, the sound echoing off the concrete walls of the tagged room.

"Had a pleasant dream, I hope?" he asked, his tone light and teasing despite their grim surroundings.

Yuji blinked twice at him before his eyes widened with sudden realization.

"My Senpais! And Megumi! Are they alrigh-" He tried to get up but found himself unable to.

The bindings around his wrists and ankles seemed to tighten in response to his rising panic. He tugged at them experimentally but found that they wouldn't budge.

"W-What the hell?"

"Yes, yes," Gojo clapped his hands together with a smile that didn't quite reach his blindfold. "You're all tied up, aren't you? I wonder why?"

Yuji swallowed hard, fear crawling up his throat. His mind flickered back to every crime drama and horror movie he'd ever seen, none of which ended particularly well for the person in his current position.

"Who are you?" he asked even as he tried to pull apart the weirdly strong rope.

"I'm hurt," Gojo pouted, putting a hand over his heart dramatically. "Did you forget about me already? Me? The great Gojo Satoru?"

His cheerfulness was unnerving given their circumstances. Yuji wrenched at the ropes again but to no avail. His eyes darted around the room looking for anything that could help him escape but all he saw was an empty room with nothing but paper charms covering it.

His hope was dampened at the realization of there being no door to exit.

"Anyways~ While your concern for other people is very commendable! You are in no place to worry about others… Itadori Yuji."

The sudden shift in Gojo's tone sent a shiver down Yuji's spine. The cheerful lilt was replaced by a cold, serious edge that seemed entirely alien from the man who'd just been making light of the situation moments ago.

He leaned forward in his chair, resting his arms on the head of the chair.

"Your execution has been decided."

Dead silence clung to the air, the only sound permeating through was that of Yuji's breaths catching in his throat and Gojo's words echoing ominously in his ears.

"Excuse me? Execution?!" He sputtered, confusion mingling into a chaotic mess in his mind.

His gaze fixated on Gojo, the blatant disbelief written across his face. He'd never thought that he'd hear those words from the jester-like man before him.

The giggle that escaped Gojo's lips was disarmingly chilling.

"Oh, yes. You see... our higher-ups aren't exactly the daring type." Gojo's carefree grin was replaced with a hard line. The frivolous man Yuji knew seemed to disappear within seconds, leaving behind a stranger who looked every bit as intimidating as he sounded.

"They're cowards; scared of what they can't control or understand. And you…" His gaze pierced into Yuji's frightened eyes. "Are both~"

Yuji felt a choking sensation rise up in his throat, fear and uncertainty grasping him tightly by the neck.

"But why?"

Gojo sighed heavily, leaning back into his chair once more and crossing his arms over his chest.

"It's because of Sukuna." He paused dramatically, watching Yuji squirm uncomfortably against the ropes that bound him. "You see, you've become a host for the King of Curses~"

He paused for a moment, letting the weight of his words sink in.

"By consuming that cursed finger, you've become a vessel for him - a plight that the higher-ups are too terrified to face head-on. So, what better way than to swiftly dispose of it?"

Gojo jumped up from his chair, pacing the room in a theatrical manner, his every move brimming with an uncanny energy. He stopped suddenly, turning to face Yuji, a bright grin on his face.

"But don't worry!" The words dripping with confidence, "I suspended your execution because I have a plan~"

Yuji's eyes widened in disbelief.

"You see, Yuji." Gojo began again, facing the window now, his back turned away from the bound student. "Sukuna's curse is one that is mighty difficult to get rid of. The higher-ups may believe that by executing you, they can rid themselves of Sukuna permanently. Well, one finger of him anyway~"

He turned back towards Yuji, the earlier grin now replaced with a more serious expression.

"But they're wrong. You're more than just a host to him now that you've consumed his finger…"

The masked sorcerer paused before dramatically shouting the next words that shocked the high schooler to his core.

"YOU ARE NOW THE TOOL THAT CAN ONCE AND FOR ALL KILL THE KING OF CURSES!!!"

Gojo continued ignoring the chilling reality, which sent shivers down Yuji's spine as he listened in horror.

He walked over to Yuji slowly, the tap of his shoes echoing ominously in the silence of the room.

"If you were to consume all of Sukuna's fingers before your execution..."

He crouched down to level with Yuji, a cold glint in his smile that both frightened and intrigued him.

"You'd essentially become Sukuna himself. And upon your execution..."

For a moment Gojo's mask twinkled with a mischievous glint before returning back to its icy seriousness.

"And that's how I got your execution suspended~! Now praise me!"

Before Yuji could even hope to respond to this clearly insane man standing before him.

"Thousands of years have passed and yet some things haven't changed a bit!" The deep rumbling voice growled out, much to the already freaked out teens ever growing bad day.

Yuji flinched as he felt a hand materialize on his shoulder, surprisingly solid and warm, despite its ethereal appearance. He turned slowly to find himself staring at the visage of a fearsomely carved demon, bristling with sinewy muscles and decorated with tattoos that seemed to move and writhe of their own accord.

"S-Sukuna?" he whispered in disbelief, his voice barely audible.

Yet the spirit heard him clearly. A grin split across Sukuna's face, revealing a row of sharp, gleaming teeth.

"Oh, so you recognize me?" Sukuna drawled lazily, seemingly unaffected by the gravity of their situation.

"H-How are you here?" Yuji asked in utter bewilderment, feeling the weight of millions of questions pressing upon his mind.

Sukuna chuckled ominously beneath his breath as he leaned toward Yuji's ear. At such close proximity, it was impossible for Yuji to ignore the wild energy that brimmed from Sukuna, causing a chill to run down his spine.

"It's a technique I haven't used since the Heian era," Sukuna said with a shit-eating grin.

He then withdrew from Yuji, sauntering over to inspect Gojo who had remained silent throughout their exchange.

They stood in front of each other face to face, measuring each other up with wide confident smiles.

The strongest of today.

The strongest in history.

Gojo's ever-present smirk seemed to fade a bit as he took in the full power of Sukuna, or however much he possessed with just one finger. Despite his previous bravado, there was no denying the palpable aura of raw power emanating from the King of Curses despite him not being at full power.

"No hard feelings from taking your food last night, right?" Sukuna finally broke the silence, his smile ever mocking.

That elicited a low chuckle from Gojo.

"Hah! As if I'd hold a grudge against someone who would steal a mere dessert from me."

That was a lie, he totally would.

Though, behind his laughter, Gojo's eyes glinted with an intense scrutiny fixated on Sukuna. He had heard much about this man, often touted as the strongest sorcerer in history. A claim he was more than willing to put to the test.

Gojo raised a brow at the spirit before returning his attention to Yuji.

"Oh well~ I expect this is quite surprising for you, Yuji~"

Sukuna's eerie laugh echoed around the room as he called out to Yuji who was still tied to the chair struggling to comprehend what the hell was happening, "Better get used to me, kid! Because we're going to be stuck together before I figure out how to get my own body!"

Sukuna's words hung heavy in the air, like a dark prophecy that loomed over Yuji's head.

This was his reality now.

"Just what the hell am I supposed to do now?" Yuji muttered more to himself than anyone else in the room. His voice reeked of despair, a stark contrast to the spirited demeanor he usually carried.

Sukuna chuckled at this and walked back towards Yuji. He crouched down in front of the terrified teen, his ethereal form glowing slightly as he met Yuji's gaze head-on.

"That's quite simple, my dear host," Sukuna began, his voice dripping with an eerie confidence. "You're going to eat the rest of my fingers!"

Yuji recoiled at Sukuna's words, feeling sick to his stomach.

"N-No offense, wait no! All the offense! There's no way I'm eating all your nasty ass fingers!" Yuji cried out, much to Sukuna's and Gojo's amusement. "And don't you want the exact opposite to happen?"

"Nah! I got this!" Sukuna said confidently before ruffling Yuji's hair, much to his chagrin as he leaned back far away from his hands.

Gojo chuckled at Sukuna's declaration, crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned back against the wall.

"Such an optimist you are, Sukuna," he mused, his voice laced with amusement, "I must say, it's refreshing."

A sardonic smile danced on Sukuna's lips at Gojo's words, his gaze never leaving the trembling Yuji.

Gojo pushed himself off the wall and approached Yuji, his gait exuding an almost regal air as he came to stand in front of the boy. He waved away the king of curses, disrupting his spirit form, and crouched down to meet Yuji's eyes, his thoughtful gaze piercing into the fearful ones of the young boy.

"You're scared," Gojo observed plainly, tilting his head slightly to study Yuji more closely. "But what you should understand is that fear is a powerful tool when used right."

He reached out to gently ruffle Yuji's hair, much like an older brother would do to console a frightened sibling.

"And trust me," Gojo continued in a quiet tone. His gaze never left Yuji's face as if trying to implant every single word deep into the boy's soul. "You will need every tool you can get your hands on."

With that being said, Gojo straightened up and looked squarely at Yuji. "I have a plan, you and me. It might be risky, and not one without pain or sacrifice. But we're going to need you to be strong and trust me."

His words tumbled into the room, filling it with a solemn silence that prickled Yuji's skin.

Yuji shifted uncomfortably in his seat, the ropes digging into his flesh. He looked up at Gojo, his eyes wide with uncertainty. Gojo's revelations were too much to process in the span of a few minutes.

"Can I think about it?" Yuji asked abruptly, his voice barely above a whisper. "Can I visit my friends before I make up my mind?"

Gojo studied Yuji for a moment, his piercing gaze inscrutable under the blindfold that obscured his eyes. The silence in the room was deafening as everyone held their breath, waiting for Gojo's response.

Slowly, Gojo nodded his approval.

"Alright," he said quietly, "but remember Yuji...time is of the essence here."

Sukuna smirked, having been silent all this time, he seemingly found amusement in the situation, as if he was watching a live show.

____________

Yuji was released from the weird room after a couple of minutes of waiting and was now walking down the streets of the busy city with his mind clouded.

"Hey, kid! You should definitely go over to that Takoyaki stand and buy some food! I'm starving!"

Unfortunately, he couldn't sort through his thoughts due to a certain king of curses yelling his demands beside him.

"Would you shut up, already?" Yuji growled under his breath, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment as if it would help him block out Sukuna's voice. "I'm trying to think here!"

"Tch! Grouchy." Sukuna's petulant tone echoed inside Yuji's mind.

"Can't you just feast on my energy or something? Is that not how it works?"

Sukuna laughed mockingly at his words, a cruel sound that echoed in Yuji's head.

"You're thinking way too hard about this, kid," he replied, amusement clear in his voice. "Besides, if I start draining your energy, you'd probably drop dead on the street with how little energy you got. Not that I could, even if I wanted to it would probably taste like shit."

Ignoring the shiver that statement caused, Yuji sighed and made his way towards the stand Sukuna had pointed out earlier.

"Fuck yeah!"

At least someone was happy about the situation they were in.

He bought several Takoyaki balls and thanked the kind stall owner for the food before once again making his way down the street.

He watched in a weird sort of fascination as a mouth formed on his hand with saliva slightly dripping from its lips.

"Thanks for the food!"

The high schooler felt his hand suddenly move without his control and began to stuff itself with freshly cooked food. The Takoyaki was gone within seconds.

He turned to face the floating spirit next to him and found a very satisfied king of curses.

"Damn, that was good! You do not know the shit I had to go through to get a half-decent meal in the Heian era!"

"Guess convenience is one thing this era has going for it," Yuji mumbled, his mind still a whirlpool of thoughts. The truth was, despite Sukuna's continuous prattle and him being the embodiment of evil, Gojo's words not his.

He was sort of getting used to the king of curses.

Don't get him wrong, he was still suspicious as hell about Sukuna simply acting friendly to get his guard down but the fact that the most he was doing was bugging him for food? Instead of trying to fight for control of his body and cause chaos and suffering?

With all the horror stories he heard about what the king of curses did and the suffering he caused. He at least expected him to be somewhat more… threatening. Yet here they were, strolling around the city like a pair of pals and stuffed with Takoyaki.

His thoughts were a whirlpool of fear, trepidation, and oddly enough, curiosity. What kind of life was he going to lead now with the king of curses trapped in his soul?

"Hey, kid!" Sukuna's voice interrupted his musing. "There's a ramen stand up ahead. Let's go there next!"

As much as Yuji wanted to object, he knew it was pointless seeing as he would bug him until he gave in. With a resigned sigh, he veered in the direction of the ramen stand.

Once seated in front of a steaming bowl of ramen, Yuji glanced at Sukuna who looked rather pleased with himself.

"Enjoying yourself?" Yuji asked dryly. Sukuna grinned widely at him, his ethereal form shimmering slightly from the heat radiating from the bowl of ramen.

"Indubitably!" He exclaimed as another mouth formed on Yuji's palm and began scooping up the warm noodles without waiting for the broth to cool.

The absurdity of it all almost made Yuji laugh. Almost. But the gravity of his situation, the implied danger in Gojo's words… He needed to take this seriously.

With a sigh, he aimed to steer the conversation back to the matter at hand.

"Sukuna," Yuji began, grappling for the right words, "Why are you so eager for me to eat the rest of your fingers? You do know that they're going to use me to kill you right?"

The King of curses turned towards him, still slurping down the noodles while doing so, his face unreadable as he studied Yuji.

"You really think I haven't thought this through?" Sukuna asked, his voice laced with mirth. "I'm not an idiot like you are."

"I'm not an idiot!" Yuji huffed in indignation but didn't say anything else.

Once again, the curse finished eating within seconds while Yuji paid for the meal.

Silence fell over them again as they wandered aimlessly through the city streets. Sukuna looked up at the sky as if entranced by its vastness.

"Life is a gamble," Sukuna finally said out of nowhere. "Sometimes you have to bet on the unlikely odds and hope for the best."

Yuji mulled over Sukuna's words, feeling unease creep up his spine. He wasn't sure what he meant but it sounded ominous.

"I still don't trust you, you know," Yuji said cautiously, breaking the silence that had bloomed between them.

Sukuna simply chuckled, not even turning to face him.

"I would've called you a fool if you did."

Chapter 3: Another Finger New
Chapter 3

Yuji watched as people passed by without a care in the world, completely lost in thought.

"Poke…"

Thinking about everything that happened that shook his entire worldview.

"Poke…"

About his senpais who were in the hospital.

"Poke…"

About his grandpa's last words to him to help people.

"Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!Poke!"

At least that was what he was trying to do if not for Sukuna persistently poking away at his cheek!

"Would you stop that?! Haven't you eaten enough already?!" Yuji shouted at the king of curses who was sitting beside him. People who were passing by gave him weird looks because all they could see was him shouting at nothing.

"Never!" The king responded back with a big defiant smile that grated on Yuji's nerves. "Besides that's not what I poked you for, although I do want an ice cream cone after this."

Yuji's shoulders sagged as he heard this, he could already feel his wallet crying.

"I just wanted to ask what's got you so glum chum?" Sukuna asked his tone surprisingly not mocking.

Yuji sighed, glancing at the king incredulously. It was unlike Sukuna to show concern, but then again, everything that had been happening recently was unlike anything he could have imagined.

"Why would you care about how I feel? What, you going to use my feelings against me or something?" Yuji asked, narrowing his eyes as he glared at Sukuna suspiciously.

Sukuna shrugged as he lazily leaned back on the bench with not a care in the world.

"You were looking like a kicked puppy left out in the rain, plus… I was bored."

The high schooler was not impressed in the least by the king of curses reasons. Yuji faced away from Sukuna, once again trying to ignore the curse sitting beside him.

They sat in silence for a while, both of them now watching as the lives of people walking past by them peacefully continued.

A minute or two passed before the silence between them broke once again.

"Everything is just... messed up," Yuji grumbled, running a hand through his pink hair in frustration. "My senpais are in the hospital, my grandpa's last words keep echoing in my head, and I'm stuck with a curse king who keeps craving food."

Sukuna listened intently, an unusual softness evident in his eyes as he looked at Yuji. Had anyone else seen the king of curses at that moment, they would have doubted their own sanity.

"…What am I doing? Confiding in you of all people? You definitely don't care about what I'm going through." Yuji grumbled to himself as he covered his face with his hands, completely missing the sad smile that appeared on the king of curses.

Sukuna looked unsure of what to do as he watched Yuji continue to wallow away.

He was about to reach out, his fingers just a breath away from Yuji's disheveled pink hair. But his instinctual awareness of other powerful presences prickled at the back of his mind. His eyes flashed crimson as his gaze shifted beyond the park, towards the city skyline.

His smile returned, broad and devilish, masking the momentary lapse of empathy. He retracted his hand, smoothing it through his own hair with a casual nonchalance.

"Oh, look who's finally decided to grace us with his presence," Sukuna drawled, as he stared at the approaching sorcerer.

Yuji looked up from his hands just in time to see a familiar figure effortlessly weaving through the crowd of people heading their way.

Gojo Satoru had arrived.

"Great..." Yuji muttered under his breath but there was little venom in his words.

Sukuna, unperturbed by Gojo's arrival, simply crossed his arms over his chest and tossed him a cocky smile.

"You're late," The teen accused, a pout appeared on his face as he too crossed his arms much like the king of curses. "Twenty minutes late! What took you so long?!"

Gojo held up his hands in a placating manner with a rather large smile on his smugly face.

"Sorry about that!" The next words he would speak had far too much smugness put into them. "I'm afraid I got lost on the path of life~"

The stunned silence that radiated off of Yuji brought an even bigger smile to Gojo's face. While the king of curses was dying of laughter beside him, clutching at his stomach from the painful bout of laughter.

"Why the hell are you laughing so hard?" Itadori asked the cursed spirit, confused about how hard he was laughing.

"Y-You wouldn't get it pipsqueak!" Sukuna managed to get out between his bouts of laughter, gasping for breath.

Yuji turned a heated glare onto Gojo. "Stop spouting nonsense. What are you here for?"

Still chuckling, Gojo handed Yuji a paper bag filled with various snacks, effectively silencing him.

"A peace offering," he defended, still wearing that smug grin.

Just as Yuji was about to reach for the bag of goodies, Sukuna controlled his other hand and beat him to it.

"Hey!" Yuji protested but Sukuna just smirked and began inspecting the goodies.

Yuji rolled his eyes and turned back to Gojo, who seemed amused by their interaction. "Really though, why are you here?"

Gojo just smiled as he sat down beside him while yoinking the bag out of Yuj- no - Sukuna's hand.

"Hey!" Sukuna's eyes narrowed in dissatisfaction as he glared at the blindfolded bastard. He made a swipe at the bag of sweets again but found it impossible. "Son of a bitch!"

Something told Yuji this was Gojo's petty way of getting back at the king of curses.

"Have you decided?" The white-haired sorcerer asked while grabbing a treat on the bag and munching on it.

Yuji stayed silent for a moment, lost in thought. He ignored the heated glare that Sukuna was sending at Gojo and ignored the way Gojo pettily snacked away at the bag of goodies.

Your strong, so help people.

"…If all of Sukuna disappears, will the number of people killed by curses decrease a little?"

The two strongest sorcerers stopped what they were doing and focused on the Yuji.

Sukuna stayed silent and looked away from the two, letting them talk it out, focusing on the clouds in the sky.

Gojo, who had also been lost in his own world of snacks stopped mid-bite, and turned his attention back to Yuji. He stared at him for a moment too long before he spoke, his tone serious, "Of course."

Yuji turned to Sukuna, his eyes filled with uncertainty. The curse king said nothing, not even meeting his gaze.

"I… I want to help people… I don't want to see anyone else die an unnatural death because they were just unlucky…" Yuji's voice grew weaker with every word. His hands balled into fists on his lap.

Gojo reached out and rested his hand on Yuji's shoulder. He squeezed gently - a comforting gesture.

"I see you've already made your choice then," Gojo said softly.

The park fell into silence once more. The loud chatters and laughter of passersby seemed so far away from them now.

Gojo reached into his jacket's pocket and pulled out a pruned-up-looking finger and handed it to Yuji.

"…Looking at it in the light it really is disgusting." The pink-haired teen said before taking it and glaring at it with a look of utter disgust.

"Oi! That's my finger you're talking about! You try staying moisturized for a thousand years!"

Sukuna finally spoke up, feeling rather offended by the comment.

Yuji shot him a look, his eyes still filled with repulsion as he held the piece of Sukuna.

"Well, it's not exactly a pretty sight," he said honestly and shuddered slightly as he cautiously moved the finger in his hand.

Gojo chuckled at their banter, but his eyes held a look of satisfaction. He knew that despite everything, Yuji had made the right choice.

"I'm sure you're gonna love the taste." Gojo tossed out another comment, failing to suppress another round of laughter as Yuji's expression turned from shock to disgust once again.

"Fuck you!" Sukuna cursed at him in response.

Gojo just smiled.

While the two were arguing, Yuji steeled his resolve and ate the cursed finger.

His eyes widened in shock, his cheeks bulged, and his face twisted with a grimace as the taste hit him like a sledgehammer.

Across from him, Sukuna watched with amusement playing on his lips. Gojo's playful demeanor faded away as he kept a watchful eye on Yuji for any sign of change.

Yet, to his surprise, nothing much happened. The only sound in the park for several moments was the light gagging noises from Yuji as he struggled to keep the finger down. His face was green, and he clutched his stomach so hard his knuckles turned white.

"That... That was disgusting," he choked out, slumping back onto the bench.

"Oh, you'll get used to it," Sukuna muttered, sounding mildly offended but not making any other moves.

Meanwhile, Gojo's shoulders sagged in relief as he took a deep breath, happy that Yuji was in full control. He had been prepared for a fight against the King of Curses if needed, had been prepared for bloodshed or even death of the kid if it came to it.

But thankfully, none of that came to pass.

Gojo then noticed Sukuna staring at them both with an unreadable expression and a strange glint in his eyes. For a moment he thought that perhaps Sukuna was planning something after all, but before he could delve deeper into that thought, the cursed king tilted his head back and started chuckling softly.

"What's so funny?" Gojo asked suspiciously.

"Nothing much," Sukuna replied, still chuckling. "Afraid I would take over?

Gojo narrowed his eyes. "Should I?"

Sukuna just shrugged, grinning. "Just enjoy the show, pretty boy."

Yuji was now staring at Sukuna with pinched eyebrows, trying to understand what sort of show the curse was talking about.

"What sho-" Yuji started to ask but was cut off by a sudden jolt that ran through his body. His eyes widened as he felt a rush of power surge through him, making his skin tingle with a strange sensation.

Gojo's eyes widened at the explosion of raw power.

"What...what's happening?" he asked, sounding slightly terrified.

"You're changing...absorbing my power," Sukuna replied calmly like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Yuji shot him a glare but stayed silent, focusing on controlling his body which felt like it was being pumped full of raw energy. It was overwhelming and frightening at the same time.

Meanwhile, Gojo watched with anticipation and amusement as Yuji gritted his teeth and closed his eyes tightly, trying to adapt to the sudden change.

"How does it feel?"

"Like hell," Yuji grunted out between clenched teeth.

Sukuna laughed at that, and for some reason, Gojo joined in too despite the troubled look on his face. Their laughter echoed in that little isolated corner of the park where everything seemed so normal just a few moments ago.

After what felt like an eternity to Yuji but was probably just a few minutes in reality, the rush of power finally subsided.

"Maybe you should have given him something to wash it down with," Sukuna suggested a clear note of mockery in his voice.

Gojo shrugged nonchalantly as he reached into his pocket once more. "Well, it so happens that I do have a can of soda here~"

Then the sorcerer tossed the can over to Yuji who caught it reflexively, looking surprised. He gave Gojo a suspicious glance but knowing he had no other choice, popped open the can and chugged down its contents.

The relief on his face was immediate. Yuji let out an audible sigh followed by a thankful nod towards Gojo who responded with a thumbs up back at him.

"Welp! Guess it's time to officially introduce you to Jujutsu Tech then," Gojo said suddenly. "We'll start your training tomorrow."

Yuji blinked, looking at Gojo with wide eyes. Sukuna merely snorted in response, turning away from them, still miffed about his 'disgusting' finger.

"And remember," Gojo stood up from his seat and stretched his arms high above him, "I can't be by your side all the time. You'll have to learn to handle Sukuna on your own."

If Gojo hadn't been paying attention he would have missed the slight twitch in Sukuna's posture at those words.

"Handle?" Yuji parroted, looking at Gojo in utter disbelief as thought back on how much food he bought for the king of curses and was unable to say no.

"That's right," Gojo nodded seriously. "You're sharing your body with the king of curses after all."

"I can hear you, you know…" Sukuna grumbled under his breath.

Gojo smiled underneath his blindfold and shrugged. "Just thought I'd remind you."

Sukuna snorted again, crossing his arms over his chest. "You make it sound like we're roommates."

"Technically, you are," Gojo pointed out, earning himself another glare from the curse.

Yuji watched this exchange with wide eyes, a faint headache starting to form at the back of his skull.

"Alright! Enough chatting for today." Sukuna declared, suddenly standing up. "I think I'll take a nap now. Not like you two are providing any good company."

"You two...carry on."

Gojo gave a nonchalant wave of the hand. "Don't let us disturb your beauty sleep oh king of curses~"

Sukuna ignored his sarcastic tone and turned away from them, closing his eyes as he leaned back and he disappeared.

"He… He takes naps?" Yuji asked after a moment of tense silence, his eyebrows knitting together in confusion.

Canon!Sukuna would never teach Yuji how to do sorcery

This one, might, but I get the feeling that when it comes to Cursed Energy, it's more about knowing that it can be done and trying to get the reflexes or muscle memory to generate the effect

Obviously, you can't replicate somebody else's Innate Technique, but the stuff that can in theory be taught, could be learned by almost everybody provided you have some built up muscle memory of sorts

Sukuna's explanation for Positive Energy wouldn't match with how Gojo produces it

You know the extra chapter reveal makes this even more heart warming.

Now that we know sukuna is actually
yuji Grandpa

Sukuna counts as Yuji's uncle, since Jin was the reincarnation of his twin

But since twins share the same soul, they are in a sense, the same person

So Sukuna might also count as Yuji's father

Just so happens that Wasuke and Jin had the same hair color as Sukuna, though

yeah it turns out that's is false the extra epilogue chapters explain that sukuna other half was wasuke not jin

Like this is recent information that just came out it him dying and him getting the finger that same day was not a coincidence.

Where can I get this chapter? I only got the epilogue chapter that showed Yuji meeting the possible love of his life, Nobara confronting her mother whilst granny comes along, Panda sadly barely being functional and Uraume and Sukuna's first meeting

It's in the notes. Let me see if I can find a picture but it says this.

"To be precise, it's not Itadori's dad, but his grandfather who shares the same soul." – Gege Akutami

Sukuna: "This is why I copied Kenjaku's incarnation technique, there's no way in hell, I'm becoming an old man"

Sukuna: "This is why I copied Kenjaku's incarnation technique, there's no way in hell, I'm becoming an old man"

so essentially wasuke death and sukuna reincarnation into Yuji wasn't a coincidence the point of jjk was Yuji putting his grandfather soul to rest so he can be reborn into something better. Jin was never the other half of sukuna this is surprisingly in universe assumption that is actually wrong. It was always wasuke who was sukuna other half.
