Running for an hour straight while "pacing herself", which to her probably means just not making herself outright sprint, is absolutely absurd.
I also can't tell if everyone is freaking out since she's apparently become the school idol and only Uma in the school's history who's gotten into Tracen Academy, or if the speech she'd prepared was just THAT GOOD.
Sadly, Cygames decided to retcon out the Kingdom of Ireland in order to not have to deal with the potential political issues.

Fortunately this is fanfiction,so we're not obligated to follow that retcon.
If we consider her as a dedicated Polish cavalry horse from around the time of the First World War/early 2nd Polish Republic, rather than a racehorse or workhorse pressed into service by wartime necessity (as indicated by her family having an Ułan uniform they obviously cherish), that would make sense, as Polish cavalry horses during that period were overwhelmingly Arabians specifically bred for cavalry use. Arabians are a breed that while rather fast by the standard of most horses, but never went all in on speed like thoroughbreds did, in favor of retaining a healthy amount of stamina, to the extent that they are actually used for endurance races today. Combined with the fact that Polish-bred Arabians are actually known to particularly favor stamina even beyond other Arabian lines, it makes sense Shiro would match that.
That's how I read it.
Because with Shirogane growing up with this it would take Tanya level of a misunderstanding for not to already be aware of what happened to most of her mother's family and avoid painful subjects.
What will be a rude shock? Needing to sing or dance in public? I don't think she'd mind. She doesn't have any issue with appearing in public, or (as illustrated in this chapter) dressing up in fancy costume for a reason - she just doesn't enjoy doing it for its own sake.

With her tail stiffly out for balance and ears back, she looks like she out for blood, but is completely blank faced.
With the dedicated classes to dancing and singing, I think she would do a pretty good job. She won't enjoy it, but she'll give her best.
What Shirogane did sound impressive, but Uma (at least the top tier racing ones) had done similarly absurd things. Take the recent summer event, Daiwa Scarlet and Sweep Tosho managed to follow a basically speeding Maruzensky in a car (around 70-100 km/h) for a significant amount of time, with the route going around 3 mountains. And the crazy part is that Sweep herself didn't seem too tired and still had enough energy to go looking for magic in Bubblyland. While Scarlet herself during that event was out of sorts and was noticeably under-performing, but still managed to follow the car and Sweep Tosho.
Yep, I always liked fics when they focused less on how badass Tanya current incarnation is and focused more on her new life. Bonding with her new family, trying to acclimated into her new life, those sorta things. Its something I wish more YS fics do. Also, while I don't think Tanya will ever be too thrilled about racing itself, I think she would have a similar mindset to Suzuka or Maruzensky. Running for the sake of running. I can see people noticing that running is the few times Shiro truly loosened up and seeing how happy she is while running, would make her a good role model for a lot of Umas. Something Shiro would be confused about.
Considering they are described as wing-shaped, I'm gonna guess they look like the ones used by the Winged Hussars from her mom's homeland.
I wonder how the other racers are going to react to this fact when they eventually find out about it.
Well considering the story is about Uma racing, it is always going to have lower stakes than literal trench warfare. And she has not taken part in any race yet, its a little early to say that she needs humbling, no?

Shirogane/Tanya will RUN whenever she feels like it. Her current life compared to her second life is literally a vacation in comparison.
If anything I see her more as a mix of Agnes tachyon and golship
