The Kitsune
So I made a idea once for a prototype hound. Now let's try for a refined one.

I'm picturing a almost normal looking human (the host) with very dark circles under their eyes, kinda a pale sickly skin color (but not like Salem). Maybe a pair of Grimm goo animal ears and tail (I'm thinking of fox for a specific reason).

A truly integration of human and Grimm, not a graft like what cinder did or the human being just a battery.

This is a Grimm fully able to use the thoughts, memories, and skills of its host body. It's as smart as it is cruel.

Unlike other Grimm it doesn't just detect negativity. It feeds off of it.
Now let's whip up a example host...hmmm let's not go with Jaune. Since I'm going for a specific theme I guess Ren fits the best.

*Picture Ren sitting on a rock goo tail moving slowly behind his back as he glares down at team JNP_*

Ren: "Our team back together again, did you miss me? When you left me to die."

Jaune: "you made us leave! Told us to save the people and that you'd hold the line!"

Ren: "that I did, I can't fault you for that, but there is something I can fault you for. Why didn't you come back for my body? You left me to rot."

Pyrrha: "we were getting together people to come with us. The ruins are still crawling with Grimm."

*Black veins flash across rens face and for a minute his teeth look sharp like razors and his gums are black*

Ren: "DON'T YOU LIE TO ME!"

*Rens face quickly goes back to normal*

Ren: "Not again, don't lie like you care, well I've found a new group to work with. They're scum but at least I expect them to stab me in the back."

*Nora is practically catatonic. Ren breathes in deeply like he's savoring something.*

Ren: "despair, self hatred, budding rage. I should have known Nora would still care. You all just led her astray."

*Nora twitches*

Ren: "come with me. It'll be just the two of us, like old times."

*Nora raises her hammer. And points it at Ren*

Nora: "something's wrong with you. We're gonna drag you back to beacon and they'll fix you!"

*Ren looks at Nora in seeming disappointment*

Ren: "such a shame."

*The illusion of Ren on the rock fades away as the real one tears Noras heart out*

Ren: "this would have been painless if you'd have just listened for once."

*Ren throws her body over his shoulder as various strange Grimm start crawling out of his shadow*

Ren: "deal with them. I have a friend to fix."

Matchmaker Jaune (Revised)
The Beacon courtyard buzzed with the chatter of students, the air crisp with the scent of blooming flowers and polished armor. Jaune Arc, still stinging from his cringeworthy antics at the dance, had been working hard to be a better friend—especially to Weiss Schnee, whose rejections had left him wincing at his past self. So when he spotted her in a heated argument with Flynt Coal, an Atlasian exchange student with a sharp tongue and sharper hat, Jaune's first instinct was to charge in, shield raised. But Pyrrha's advice echoed in his mind—assess the situation—and he hung back, watching from the edge of the fountain.

Flynt's voice cut through the air, laced with venom. "You just strut around like you're the queen of everything, when your father stole everything he ever got!"

Weiss's posture stiffened, her ice-blue eyes flashing, but her voice wavered. "I'm sorry that my father did that! It—It was business, but—"

"But what?" Flynt snapped, leaning in. "You don't have anything to do with it?!"

"I-!"

"You aren't benefiting from it?!" Flynt demanded.

Jaune's fists clenched, but he held steady, his mind racing.

Wow, Pyrrha was right. Taking a moment to assess the situation is great… Okay then…

"Except she didn't," Jaune said, stepping forward with a calm but firm tone.

Flynt's glare swung to him, his trumpet case swinging at his side, while Weiss's head whipped around, her expression a mix of surprise and relief. Jaune met Flynt's eyes, undaunted.

"She couldn't have anything to do with her father's decisions! You're just lashing out at her because you can't get to her dad!"

Flynt bristled, his voice sharp. "Listen, White Knight, you don't have any—!"

"She's a good person!" Jaune cut in, his voice steady, his blue eyes blazing. "I know her well enough to know that! And she didn't do anything, so what does that make you?!"

The courtyard seemed to hold its breath. Flynt's glare burned, but Jaune didn't flinch, his stance solid. After a tense moment, Flynt sucked in a breath, his shoulders slumping as he nodded slowly. He turned to Weiss, his voice softer.

"…I'm sorry. He's right."

Weiss blinked, her mouth parting.

"What?"

"I just… I've been so angry for so long, I wanted something to lash out at," Flynt admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "But it's not fair to you. Can… can we start over? I'm Flynt Coal, and it's nice to meet you."

Weiss hesitated, then took a deep breath, her composure returning as she extended a hand. "I'm Weiss Schnee. It's a pleasure."

Flynt reached out and took her hand respectfully.

He glanced at Jaune, a grudging respect in his eyes.

"Thanks, man. That was pretty cool."

Jaune flushed, shrugging awkwardly.

"Just… you know… trying to be a good friend."

Weiss's gaze softened, her voice gentle.

"Well… thank you, Jaune. Flynt and I need to talk…?"

"Oh, uh, sure," Jaune said, backing off with a quick wave before heading toward the dorms. He smiled to himself: He was doing better. Being a good friend!

Later, in the bustling Beacon cafeteria, the clatter of trays and laughter filled the air as Team JNPR dug into lunch. Jaune was mid-bite of a sandwich when Weiss approached, her heels clicking with purpose. Team RWBY trailed behind, Yang smirking, Ruby nibbling a cookie, and Blake scanning the room like a wary cat.

"Jaune?" Weiss said, her voice bright. "I wanted to thank you again for helping me with Flynt."

Jaune swallowed, his grin lopsided. "Oh, um, you're welcome. I just wanted to help. Things going okay?"

"Great, actually!" Weiss beamed, her hands clasped. "He asked me on a date… and I accepted!"

Jaune's sandwich paused halfway to his mouth, his eyes widening.

"Oh… Oh. Um… Th-That's great."

"Isn't it?" Weiss said, her smile radiant. "And it's all thanks to you!"

Jaune's heart sank, but he forced his smile to hold, his voice strained but kind.

"You… you betcha…"

Weiss turned and headed off with a skip in her step, oblivious to the shadow crossing Jaune's face. Pyrrha's hand brushed his arm, her emerald eyes soft with concern, while Nora leaned over, whispering loudly, "Don't worry, Jaune-Jaune! We'll find you a better princess!"

Ren sighed, sipping his tea. Ruby winced and reached out to pat Jaune's shoulder, while Yang grinned-Though there was sympathy in her gaze.

"Tough break, Vomit Boy," she said, "But there's more fish in the sea."

Jaune's smile wavered, but he nodded, his voice barely audible. "Yeah… tough break…"

"Or you could share," Blake suggested. Every stared at her. She blinked and lightly blushed.

"Sorry. Should have kept that thought to myself."

"You seriously need a boyfriend, Kit-Kat," Yang sighed. She brightened. "Hey Ladykiller! You got Weisscream with Flynt! What do you say-Wanna go two for two?"

"That would require Jaune-Jaune to have a crush on Blake first!" Nora said cheerfully. Her eye brightened. "Wait! This solves both problems at once!"

"No it doesn't!" Jaune and Pyrrha shouted.

Blake hummed and shrugged.

Weiss: "... So a woman swapped bodies with Captain Irk... To prove she could be a Starship Commander... And was totally insane... And that's the last episode? The series finale?"

Jaune: "Yeeeeah... They were hoping for a fourth season but failed."

Yang: "And it's contradicted by all the future series... But then again, this chick was totally insane so you could just write her off like that. I mean, she was totally bonkers!"

Ruby: "I liked the previous episode as a series finale better! The time travel stuff was great!"

Jaune: "It is good... But... I dunno, Space Quest time travel is weird. I always feel weird about that."

Yang: "Pfft! Relax, Stud!" He sits next to her, and she cuddles up to him "It's not like every film has time travel."

Weiss: "Wait... Films? What films?"

Pyrrha: Wincing, twitching after a training mission went bad "Nnnngh...!"

Jaune: "Pyr? What is it? Did you get hit by those bandits?"

Nora: "Come on! There's no way she got hit by a bullet!"

Pyrrha: "N-No... It's not... A bullet... He was a porcupine faunus... And he shot those quills..."

A pause. Pyrrha turns bright red, as Jaune does too.

Apotheosis
Here's a fun one and part of the inspiration will be obvious to a good chunk of fanfiction readers.

Without the brother gods to feed on it divine/faith energy has been building up on remnant.

Usually this would lead to new gods coming into existence but the brother gods severely fucked up the mana paths of the world so no gods are spawning.

Instead random people are just suddenly becoming Gods. Some of them are fitting. Some of them less so. All of them cause problems.


*Blake sitting on a armchair reading smut. Suddenly a light from the sky falls on her*

???: .praise to be Blake goddess of literature, drama, and tragic romance.

*The spotlight disappears*

Blake:....drama? I'm not dramatic.


*Cut to Ruby playing with Zwei. Suddenly a spotlight shines down on them*

Isabel Arc's Soap Opera
Crack idea by Allslayer:

Isabel realizing her son is as stubborn as her decides if he was going to be a huntsman she was gonna damn well make him more than that. Making him into the ultimate combat medic after seeing what his semblance was, both amping himself and others and in the process healing them.
So she takes a job at Beacon only to be the on hand doctor and a first aid teacher. While her son does the normal classes he has to help her in the infirmary as well. In doing so she realizes she has created a monster.

Jaune is so sincere, genuine, kind, and caring to a fault that he causes both male and females to fall for him. But he is also denser than a black hole not realizing he has countless students, teachers, and criminals all falling over themselves to have his attention on them.
She decides that as long as no one is hurt or killed she is just gonna let it ride. Knowing she is gonna at least get grandbabies out of this. Also, she does have a few she likes and helps them silently in the background.

Her scroll open with her husband and most of Jaune's sisters watching the dramas. Saphron and Terra are the most active viewers after Isabel.

Isabel: "Damnit if I have to work for Ozpin at this school full of hormonal melodramatic teenagers, I'm getting some entertainment out of it."

A fun idea in my Discord? What if Adam was actually Jacques Schnee's bastard child?

Jacques had a few women on the side, including a Cow Faunus Woman. When she learned she was pregnant she fled, fearing Jacques would make her abort the baby. She got help from an employee of Jacques in the know, and hid in a mining community. At some point she died of illness. Adam grew up an angry, bitter orphan... And then learned the truth. He is Jacques' son.

Thus, for him destroying the SDC is about revenge on a father he believes abandoned him, and a family that never knew about him. What are your thoughts?
 
The Arc Clan Idea: The Local Tailor
I will admit, there is one person I do want to include in The Arc Clan. The local tailor of Radian, who comes to Vale to do some additional work for Coco Adel's mother on occassion. A personable, friendly sort of person... But an enigma wrapped in a mystery. And the man who helped Jaune forge his way into Beacon.

Why? Well... He could tell you all sorts of reasons. He might have approved of the young lad's recklessness, his determination, reminding him so much of himself at that age.

He could have done it to spite Isabel Arc, who has never trusted him despite how long he's lived in the village: He even did up her wedding dress! Such an ungrateful woman.

He could have done it to get an Arc into the wrong place at the right time as his sources told him the war against the Darkness was taking a turn for the worse without him there.

He could have done it as a gag, expecting the young boy would fail and he would find it hilarious. And now that the boy is thriving, he finds it even more hilarious.

Which are the lies? Which are true?

Only one man knows and he certainly isn't going to tell you. You'll just have to trust him.

After all... He's just plain, simple Garak.

With a flash of white light, a man in a mismatched suit with a goatee, miss-matched wings, and a wide grin appears. Jaune immediately stands up and glares.

Discord: "But it's a surprise! Besides, this wonderful chaos-How could I miss it? Oh, hey Nora!"

Nora: "Hey Discord!" waves

Yang; "Wait, you two know eachother?!"

Nora and Discord: "No, we've never met in our lives! But it's more fun to pretend!" They both giggle "JINX!"

Jaune: sigh "Look, we're really not in the mood-"

Discord: "Mood?! MOOD?! Mood is for music and love play! Things you need some help with! Why not a fun mind bending game where we pit our intellects against one another-"

The Origin of
A bit more of a comedic/dramatic Halloween idea... Jaune transforms into a human/Grimm hybrid with enhanced strength, speed, tentacles, etc. He has no idea how, or why.

It turns out that Nick Arc is in fact the son of Oz and Salem (They hooked up a few years back, as they still do because their relationship is so toxic it makes Chernobyl look like Three Mile Island). This explains why Nick is so insanely durable and why he never discovered his Semblance: His Grimm side combined with his powerful Aura made him a human tank. So he didn't need to find out.

This of course is rather concerning. Ironwood wants to take the whole Arc Clan into custody, Ozpin is against it as Nick and his children are his family, and Salem is shocked that her child actually is a perfect fusion of human and Grimm-Previous times this happened, the child was pure human and she just dropped them in orphanages to keep them away from her.

Jaune himself and his friends no doubt have some... Thoughts.

Blake: "T-Tentacles..."

Pyrrha: "Tentacles?"

Yang: "Tentacles~..."

Jaune: "Guys? Can we focus?!"

And with his parents...

Jaune: "MOM! Did you know?!"

Isabel: "Of course I knew! Your father told and showed me before we got married! I was scared at first but he told me he had no idea why he was this way! I've studied him and all of you for years but none of you showed any signs of Grimm hybridization until now! Not even Tangy and she's bloodthirsty!"

With Nick and Ozpin...

Ozpin: "I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner, Nick. I'm sorry I lied. I'm sorry you had to suffer that orphanage, growing up alone... I have made more mistakes than any other man... But these are the worst ones I have made. I won't ask your forgiveness-"

Nick: "But I do forgive you, Dad!"

Ozpin: "What?"

Nick: "Look, maybe I'm dumb but I'm not that dumb. I get it. And while my life was hard, it taught me what really mattered: Love, family, friendship. And you have a very heavy burden, Dad. I understand that... And while I'm not happy I had to go through all that, I am happy you didn't abandon me because you hated me or discarded me, you just didn't know. And you're very sad because of the right reasons. That means you're a good man, who had to make terrible decisions... And I can forgive that."

Ozpin: Holds back tears "... I do not deserve a son like you..."

And with Salem...

Salem: "Wait... This means... GRANDBABIES!"

Lilac: Sees some staring children, beams, and waves "Hello Tom, Huck, Susan! How are you today?"

Huck: "... Fiiiine, Miss Lilac?"

Lilac: "Oh wonderful!"

Tom: "Do you need help Miss Lilac? With... Those Grimm?"

Jaune Arc, Single Father 3 (Revised)
The lecture hall for Professor Port's Grimm Studies class was a cavernous space, its walls lined with taxidermied Grimm heads and faded battle maps, the air thick with the scent of old leather and chalk dust. Jaune Arc strode in, his school uniform covered by a garish pink dress that strained across his broad shoulders, the hem swishing awkwardly above his knees. A sparkly tiara perched lopsidedly on his blond hair, glinting under the fluorescent lights.

The room fell silent, Team RWBY and JNPR staring from their seats. Yang's lilac eyes widened, a grin tugging at her lips. Ruby stifled a giggle behind her notebook, while Weiss's jaw tightened, her ice-blue eyes screaming disapproval. Blake's ears twitched under her bow, her expression unreadable. Pyrrha's smile was warm but amused, Nora cackled outright, and Ren's calm facade barely hid a smirk. Cardin Winchester, seated in the back, snorted derisively, but a sharp glare from Jaune silenced him.

Professor Port, mid-anecdote about a Beowolf hunt, paused, his mustache twitching as he adjusted his reading glasses.

"…Mister Arc, is there a reason you are coming into my class in a pink dress and tiara?"

Jaune straightened, his voice steady despite the flush creeping up his neck.

"Tea party with my daughter, sir. Ran a bit long."

Port's eyes lit up, his booming laugh echoing off the walls.

"Ah, say no more! Is she a Wisney princess fan?"

"Very much so, sir," Jaune replied.

"Who is her favorite?" Port asked, leaning forward, genuinely curious.

Jaune's grin softened, his blue eyes warm as he thought of Mia.

"Changes regularly, but right now she really loves Elsa and Anna."

"Jolly good!" Port clapped his hands, his voice booming. "My daughters are more fond of Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty! Why, I remember when I slaughtered a Boarbatusk herd with a Wisney Store's contents strapped to my back! I had 'Let It Go' stuck in my head, and it did raise my spirits, so I sang it loud and proud to keep the Grimm's attention on me!"

Jaune chuckled, adjusting his tiara. "I'll have to remember that one, sir."

"Well! Off with you, off with you," Port said, waving his hands at Jaune's seat. He sat down at his desk, and got down to writing notes as Port resumed his lecture.

"Pink is definitely your color, VB," Yang whispered to him from behind. Jaune smirked.

"You should see me in pumps."

Apparently Cinder x Adam is called Bull's Eye. It could also be called Trainwreck. "Dumpsterfire" is taken as an alternate pairing name for "Bumbleby."

So, while it would be total crack... Just imagine Adam and Cinder actually hooking up and become a power couple. A lot of it would be on Adam's end, to be honest.

Adam: "Blake! I've come to destroy Beacon... And here is my new girlfriend!"

Blake: "You-You... Wait, new girlfriend?!"

Adam: "She's better than you in every way!"

The Beacon dorm room was a cozy chaos of gaming gear and snack wrappers, the glow of dual monitors casting flickering shadows across Ruby Rose and Jaune Arc as they sat side by side, controllers in hand. Ruby's silver eyes sparkled with excitement as she leaned into the webcam, her voice bubbling over the stream's opening jingle. "Hey, Roseheads and ArcFans! Yes, we're finally doing a stream together!"

Jaune, his blond hair mussed from a long day, grinned at the camera, his tone easy but curious. "Hey! So… how's the chat looking?"

Ruby's eyes flicked to the scrolling chat, her smile twitching into a scowl. "I…" She huffed, her cheeks pinkening. "Yes, he's hot! I know he's hot!"

Jaune blinked, tilting his head. "Pardon?"

"I-I mean…" Ruby stammered, her hands flailing as she backpedaled. "I think you look good! You have normal knees, just like me!"

Jaune's brow furrowed, his voice a mix of confusion and amusement. "I… sure?"

"ANYWAY!" Ruby barreled on, her voice pitching up as she waved at the screen. "We're trying some new co-op indie horror games, since that's DarkArc's big thing when he's not being a jerk in MMORPGs."

Jaune shot her a mock glare, his grin teasing. "I'm not a jerk… exactly… Also, you suck."

"I do NOT suck!" Ruby protested, her pout fierce. "You're just some weird power-fetish gamer!"

"And you minmax!" Jaune countered, leaning closer. "Seriously, do you have spreadsheets for your character builds?"

"NO!" Ruby squeaked, then mumbled, "Okay, maybe one!"





Later in the stream, the screen shifted to the eerie, yellow-tinged corridors of The Backrooms: Deep Investigation. Ruby's avatar crept forward, her voice tinged with unease.

"Okay, so this is… what do you call it, DarkArc?"

"Liminal horror," Jaune said, his tone slipping into nerdy enthusiasm. "It's an anthropology term meaning transitory spaces. Like hallways, or workspaces, or big empty spaces like malls and warehouses. They're places you don't live, and you don't feel comfortable in if no people are around. It's just… off, strange, if they're entirely devoid of sound or people. Your imagination begins to turn every little noise into a monster. It's designed to emphasize your dread. The genre's been flooded thanks to the success of the original Backrooms with a lot of bad knockoffs, but you can still find potential gems."

Ruby stared at him, her eyes wide. "Wow… that was hypernerd."

Jaune flushed, scratching his neck. "And? Um, is that bad?"

"N-No!" Ruby blurted, her cheeks reddening as she fumbled with her controller. "I, uh, I actually kind of like it."

Jaune's grin softened, his voice warm. "Thanks…"





In the game, the oppressive yellow walls of the Backrooms loomed, their buzzing fluorescents casting harsh shadows. Ruby's voice was a grumble. "Ugh… I hate this shade of yellow. It's creepy and gross."

"Yeah," Jaune agreed, his avatar scanning a corner. "I read it's unsettling because it matches the tone of a decaying corpse's skin."

Ruby's head whipped toward him. "How do you know stuff like that?"

"Mom's a doctor, wanted me to be one too," Jaune said, his tone casual but tinged with something heavier.

"Oh. So, uh, that didn't work out?" Ruby asked, her voice softer.

"No… Let's see…" Jaune steered the conversation back, his eyes on the screen. "The sanity meter is very important, so let's keep that in mind."

"Sure, sure…" Ruby murmured, her gaze lingering on him before refocusing.

They wandered through the first level, the game's eerie silence broken only by the hum of lights. Ruby's voice grew tense. "Eesh… why is everything arranged so spooky? Like all these chairs in rows—it's weird!"

"That's kind of the point," Jaune said, his avatar pausing to check a door.

"I guess so… When's a monster gonna appear? This is weirding me out!"

"Again, kind of the point," Jaune teased.

"Well, I don't think anything will be scarier than—" Ruby's avatar turned a corner, revealing a blank-faced mannequin standing motionless. "EEEEP!"

Jaune burst into laughter, his controller shaking. "Hahahaahaha!"

"You—You didn't tell me there would be killer mannequins!" Ruby wailed, her cheeks puffing out.

"Ahahahaha!" Jaune wheezed, wiping a tear from his eye.

"STOP LAUGHING! It was—It was surprising, that's all! Ten minutes of nothing and then BAM! Stupid mannequin!" Ruby's avatar swung at the mannequin, landing a hit… only for it to swing back, knocking her character's health down. "OW! How—HOW DID IT HIT ME?!"

"Ahahahaha…!" Jaune doubled over, his laughter echoing through the mic.





More time passed, the game's tension ratcheting up. Ruby's voice was a frustrated growl. "Ugh… I hate these stupid mannequins… they keep moving when I don't look at them! Like the Crying Angels in Professor Paradox…"

Jaune nodded, his tone grim. "I really hope there aren't any Grimm like that. That would be horrifying, and they're already pretty bad."

"I know, right? Geez…" Ruby's avatar froze as the lights flickered, shifting to an ominous red. "Uh oh. Uh oh, what—what's happening? What's happening?"

"Yeah, we need to get into shelter. NOW," Jaune said, his voice urgent. "There's a locker where I am!"

"Where are you?! Where did you go?!" Ruby's voice pitched up, her avatar spinning in panic.

"I'm over here! I'm in the locker!" Jaune called, his character safe inside.

"Well, where's my locker?! Where's the—" Ruby's avatar rounded a corner, coming face-to-face with a scribbly, squiggly abomination loping toward her, its form a nightmare of jagged lines. "AAAHHH! AAAAHHHH! AAHHHHH!"

"There's a shelter near me! Run! RUN RUN RUN—!" Jaune shouted.

Ruby's avatar bolted, her fingers mashing buttons as she hit a locker and slammed the interact key… only to eject Jaune's character, taking his place inside.

"WHA—ROSESCYTHE!" Jaune yelped, his avatar now exposed.

Ruby giggled awkwardly, her voice sheepish. "I didn't know I could do that—!"

The scribble monster lunged, grabbing Jaune's character and tearing it apart in a gruesome animation. "AAAHHHHH! AHHHH!" Jaune screamed, half-laughing.

"SORRRRRRY!" Ruby wailed, then froze as the monster yanked the locker open, killing her character in a flash of red. "AAAHHH! WHAT!? IT CAN DO THAT?! WHY?!"

"It saw you go into the locker," Jaune said, his voice deadpan but amused.

"THAT'S NOT OKAY!" Ruby protested, slamming her controller down.

"Well, we can always respawn," Jaune said, his smirk audible.

"Sh-Shuhuh!" Ruby huffed, her cheeks red as she pouted at him. Jaune chuckled and leaned in, meaning to kiss her forehead. Ruby though tilted her chin at just the wrong moment… And their lips met.

It was brief, and they both pulled back immediately with bright red faces. Ruby coughed. Jaune coughed.

"... STREAM'S OVER!" Ruby cried, turning and running out. Jaune watched her run off, blinking.

"I… Wait what?"

Jaune looked at the screens… And flushed harder.

"N-No! I'm not-WE'RE NOT A COUPLE-I-UNTIL NEXT TIME!"

He shut off the stream, taking deep breaths to calm himself.

"Geez…"

Jaune had been up half the night to get through the Beacon Financial Audit. Ruby, his bodyguard for the night, had tried to stay up but he'd ordered her to bed. So she'd sacked out in the cot in the side room of his office-It seemed his predecessor was no stranger to long nights at the office.

Or maybe he'd needed a place to bang prostitutes, Jaune wasn't too sure. He also wasn't going to ask.

The door opened. Jaune frowned-Wasn't the door supposed to be locked?

"Hello?" He called out, hand already reaching for the hold out shotgun Yang and Ruby had gotten him. He still had Crocea Mors but twin barrels of Burn Dust at point blank range would give him more time to escape. Also it would wake up Ruby.

Glynda Goodwitch stepped into the light of the lamps on his desk, looking grave and seriously. Jaune blinked rapidly.

"Professor?"

"Councilman," Glynda greeted, "I have been dispatched to make a request. In regards to the audit."

Jaune blinked.

"I mean, about the audit-"

"I understand that there may be many mysterious transactions," Glynda began, "And not all of them are covered under the Securities Act or Ozpin's position as Chief Huntsman for Vale."

"Uh… I suppose I understand that," Jaune said, slowly and carefully. Glynda bowed her head.

"I know that our word alone isn't enough," Glynda said, "And that you will need more convincing. I cannot provide all the information. The stakes are simply too high."

Jaune slowly nodded, sitting up straight. He set his hands on the desk.

"I understand that but-"

"So," Glynda sighed, looking resigned, "If you need me to do anything… Anything at all… To gain your trust. To assure you of the seriousness of the situation. I am prepared to do anything you want. Absolutely anything."

Jaune blinked. He blushed.

No, no way… There's no way she could…!

His computer beeped. He looked at it for salvation… And he smiled.

"Oh! Um, I was just trying to say that the audit is complete! And uh, while we'll have to talk about some expenditures, it turns out that it can all be covered under the existing tax write off structure."

Glynda flushed a bit. She cleared her throat.

"Ah…"

"In fact," Jaune said with a smile, "I have found a lot of waste in the budget we could make good use of." He flipped his holowindows around, letting Glynda see his results. "For instance! I noticed that you have a lot of work, Professor. An absolutely massive workload."

"I do," Glynda said, frowning. Jaune beamed.

"So I found enough in the coffee budget to cut that would get you an assistant!"

Glynda gaped. She looked over the figures, and then nodded.

"I do believe that is the case," she said carefully. Jaune nodded back.

"And I was looking over your financial and tracking software," he said, and brought up another window. "I asked my sister-in-law, Terra, for some good software. She made it herself and I bought it with my own money. Give it a try! I'm linked into Beacon's system, after all."

Glynda blinked. She took hold of the keyboard and mouse and made use of the software. She transferred the latest packet of paperwork she had to do. Jaune nodded.

"Right, just input it in, use these parameters," he instructed. Glynda did so… And everything was organized and collated properly.

Her jaw dropped. Jaune continued to smile broadly.

"I… You… Why-?"

"You've been nothing but helpful to me, Professor," Jaune said earnestly, "You're tough but fair, and pushed me to work harder. You let me call you directly for help and advice. How could I not try to help you? Besides, this coffee budget is ridiculous, who needs this much-MMPH?!"

Jaune was unable to speak anymore, which was entirely understandable. After all, Glynda Goodwitch suddenly embraced him and proceeded to stick her tongue down his throat.

Jaune was frozen for a second… But despite his new office, he was still a teenaged boy. His arms went around her waist and he clumsily deepened the kiss.

"Jaune? Who's here?"

Jaune and Glynda pulled apart. Glynda waved her riding crop, her Semblance fixing her hair and make up before Ruby opened the door to the side room fully. The young Huntress-in-training blinked twice, looking suspiciously between the two. A flash of rose petals and she was by Jaune's side.

"Professor Goodwitch? What are you doing here?!"

"I was discussing some… Issues with Councilman Arc," Glynda said quickly, "But we have managed to sort them out. Haven't we, Councilman?"

Jaune was still gaping like a fish. Glynda's emerald eyes narrowed. Jaune coughed and shook his head.

"Ah, y-yes. Thank you, Professor. We-We've sorted everything out, Ruby! No problem! No problem at all!" He babbled. Ruby frowned, scowling at Glynda as she pressed against Jaune protectively.

"Really?"

"Yes! Yes, absolutely," Glynda cleared her throat, and adjusted her glasses. "Anyway, I will take this… This very good news back to Beacon and ensure Headmaster Ozpin signs off on the new budget."

"Great!" Jaune replied quickly, nodding his head, "That's great!"

"I… I look forward to working with you more in the future, Councilman Arc," Glynda said, a shy smile on her face with a hint of heat in her eyes. "And I am truly grateful for all you have done. Immensely grateful."

Her voice dipped into an almost sultry purr at the end. Jaune gulped, his face burning bright red. Ruby pouted, practically puffing her cheeks up like a squirrel with too many nuts. She clung to Jaune tightly and scowled at the professor.

"He is! Now go home, Professor! I need to make sure Jaune-Councilman Arc gets some sleep for tomorrow!" Ruby growled.

"Very well," Glynda said with a soft smile. She nodded to Jaune. "Goodnight, Councilman Arc."

"Uh… J-Just call me Jaune, please," Jaune managed. Glynda's smile grew just a hair.

"As long as you call me Glynda," she said. Jaune coughed-And winced as Ruby tightened her grip on him.

"I uh… That's difficult but I'll try, Prof-Glynda," Jaune managed.

Glynda nodded, and her warm smile made his heart skip a beat.

"Of course, Jaune," she said, turning and walking out. Jaune couldn't help staring after her swinging hips.

Did she always do that…?

Ruby's face filled his vision as she climbed up onto him and held onto his shoulders.

"Jaune! What are you doing?"

"Huh? I uh, um," Jaune tried, "Well…"

"First Yang and now Professor Goodwitch?!" Ruby demanded. Jaune blinked at her.

"W-What do you mean? I don't-What do you mean?"

"I…" Ruby scowled at him angrily. "You… Hmph!" She turned away and pouted unhappily. Jaune pulled her into a tight hug, and rubbed her back.

"I'm sorry Ruby," Jaune murmured. "Hey… How about we get some sleep?"

Ruby pouted at him. "I can't sleep. I have to be your bodyguard."

"Then we can sleep together?" Jaune offered. Ruby went bright red as she froze.

"T-T-Together?! We're-We're-We're-You-I-!" She fainted dead away. Jaune blinked in disbelief.

"Ruby? Ruby? You okay…?" He checked her pulse and breathing: Both fine. He sighed and shook his head as he held her.

"You're a handful," he mumbled. He saved his work and shut off his computer. He carried her off to the side room, and tried to lay her down onto the cot.

Emphasis on tried: She clung like a barnacle. Jaune sighed, trying to blink away his sleep… And gave up.

"Fine," he mumbled, laying down with her. He pulled a blanket up over them. "Least the press isn't here…" He frowned. "I hope."

He ruffled Ruby's hair affectionately. Ruby sighed softly and nuzzled into his chest.

"Mmm… Ruby Arc," she mumbled.

Jaune chuckled and kissed the top of her head again.

"Silly Ruby…"

Still, she was holding onto him very tightly and… He shifted, and blushed.

Boobs? Yeah. Those were boobs.

Your sisters have boobs too! He shouted at himself.

She's not your sister! And you're… Kind of dating her sister?

Jaune, too tired to argue with himself anymore, fell asleep as he cuddled with Ruby. She smiled softly.

Beat that, Yang! She thought smugly, before she too fell asleep.

Mia is playing around outside the Beacon dorms in her costume... A mini and age appropriate version of Glynda's outfit. With a witch's hat.

Mia: "I'm a super cool witch!"

Mia: Waves her wand around "Shoooommmm! Pew pew pew!"

Glynda walked up, saw the little witch running around... And looks over at Jaune with a raised eyebrow.

Jaune: Puts his palms up as he looks at Glynda's conflicted expression. "I just want to say, again, I had nothing to do with this, its was all her idea. She wanted to be a Witch for Halloween, and apparently that translated to you, but with a witchy hat."

Mia: "A SUPER COOL WITCH!"

Glynda then smiled gently.

Glynda: "I'll take it as a compliment."

Jaune: Nervously scratches the back of his neck. "Well I'm glad to hear that, because I uh... kind of need a favor."

Glynda: "Oh?" Raised eyebrow

Jaune: Pulls out a tiny broomstick from behind his back. "I need you to enchant this broomstick, so my daughter can fly on it. Please?"

Mia: "Pleaaaassse?"

Glynda: "..."

Ten seconds later, Mia is squealing happily as she flies around the green

Jaune: Smiles genuinely at Glynda from how happy Mia is. "Thanks Professor, this means a lot to me."

Glynda: smiles "Well... I'm hardly a wicked witch, now am I?"

Jaune: A smile still on his face... "Nah, you're a Goodwitch. "

Glynda: sighs, little smile "You're truly your father's son."

Mia: "YAAAAYYY!"
 
The Princess Revealed
What if Blake was outed as the Princess of Menagerie at Beacon? Like, everyone now knows she's THAT Blake Belladonna?

(Yes she protests she's not a princess-Nobody listens.)

Cardin Winchester immediately makes nice because it's politically advantageous and his father is leaning on him to not be a bigot.

Neptune hits on her constantly, much to her and Sun's irritation.

She seeks solidarity with Arslan and Velvet as fellow Faunus-Arslan is unimpressed with Menagerie's anti-human policies, and Velvet hates Menagerie because Menagerians don't approve of human/faunus relationships.

Weiss... Is furious with Blake's hypocrisy and then realizes she HAS met Blake before-At fancy diplomatic dinners! As children! And Blake was unpleasant to her then too!

Fixing the Atlas Arc
One of many issues with the Atlas Arc is that the politics are... Well, stupid. CRWBY were trying so hard to be "topical" that they failed to realize... It makes zero sense in-universe. It also doesn't help that CRWBY's understanding of real world politics is equivalent to the average Redditor's: Non-existent.

Atlas isolating itself and declaring a blockade... Was a stupid move. On every level. Unity is needed across the entire planet, especially with the CCTnet down, and Ironwood would know that. His belief in Atlas' superiority is immaterial, he would still want as many resources as possible and to work with his allies to figure out what Salem was up to.

And Jacques wants to end the blockade so he can make money... Makes him the bad guy? The world runs on Dust, him wanting to end this embargo is logical and the right thing to do. Yeah, he's a jerk and of course he wants more money-While providing a necessary resource to the entire planet. Why are you making the villain the guy in the right?

And Robyn Hill's little group steals supplies but we never see them actually distribute it to Mantle's citizens. They could have at least been seen fixing up a wall or two but no, because she's the underdog she's automatically the one in the right. Robin Hood stole from an illegitimate king to give to the poor he was exploiting, while still supporting the legitimate king to return and make things right: He wasn't Che Guavara. It betrays an overly simplistic and idiotic view of the world.

So, here's my suggestion for fixing the biggest issues with the Atlas Arc:

You know what the main issue for Atlas should be? Whether or not to take revenge on Menagerie for the actions of the White Fang. One faction in government wants to declare war on Menagerie and bomb the shit out of them, the other side wants to figure out what the hell happened. Ironwood and Hill can be on the side that is more moderate, Jacques and another military leader (Like Jinjur Hardy, the OC I made to be Ironwood's foil) can be on the Pro-War side.

Ironwood is opposed to declaring war on Menagerie when the world is already in chaos, he knows it won't help, and it will divert resources away from the Amity Project. Robyn Hill is against it because she's been looking over intelligence reports and it's clear that something bigger is going on. She and Ironwood can still be at odds because they're still political rivals, but they can work together on the important things, like the survival of life on Remnant.

On the other side, Jacques Schnee and Jinjur Hardy can be manipulated by Watts into wanting war. Jacques so he can make money off of it, and get more power, and Jinjur Hardy can get more power and become the defacto ruler of Atlas, and then Remnant through conquest.

This also means that Ruby has every incentive to tell Ironwood about Salem's immortality, and RWBYJNOR have an actual reason to be in Atlas aside from the Relic: They can provide testimony and evidence that Cinder is behind all of this, that Menagerie isn't backing the White Fang that has gone rogue (Blake also has a purpose here beyond yuribait) and that Salem is the real enemy.

Ironwood falling from grace due to Vytal and having to contend with Hardy as a rival, and make alliance with Robyn Hill's group, means you can have a rebellion against an authoritarian government (When Jacques or his candidate wins and Hardy gets in full power) without assassinating Ironwood's character or making anyone look stupid or evil. You can still have climatic final fights, with the added bonus that it actually MEANS SOMETHING and RWBYJNOR can win against some foes.

It's a very simple fix and all you had to do was not be stupid... But CRWBY couldn't even rise to the level of incompetent.

The air outside Haven Academy still smelled of smoke and blood.The battlefield was over—but victory didn't feel like victory. Weiss had gone looking for Yang, and Yang had gone looking for Jaune. It was Weiss who spotted him first.

He stood apart from the others, near the broken edge of a shattered courtyard wall. The cratered city sprawled below him, lit by dying fires. His armor was cracked, his sword hung limp in his hand.

"Jaune?" Weiss called, uncertain. He didn't move. Yang came up beside her, limping slightly, Ember Celica dented from the fight. "What's he—" She stopped mid-sentence when Jaune raised the sword, point turned toward himself.
"No…" Weiss whispered. They ran as fast as possible. Jaune didn't turn until they were almost upon him, his eyes empty and glassy, reflecting the broken moon.

"She's gone," he said softly. "I had her killer right there, right in front of me. And I still couldn't do it. I couldn't even avenge her."

Weiss shook her head, voice trembling. "Jaune, what you did—what we all did—saved lives. You can't—"

Yang's tone softened, her fists lowering. "You think dying fixes that? You think she would've wanted that?"

He laughed bitterly, tears streaking through the grime on his face. "She wanted me to live. And I can't even do that right."

Weiss stepped closer, hands out, cautious like approaching a wounded animal. "Jaune… I lost people too. I've seen friends fall. You don't honor them by throwing yourself away. You carry them with you."

Yang moved to his other side, her voice low and trembling. "Look, I wanted Cinder dead too. But ending your story here doesn't bring anyone back. It just leaves the rest of us without you."
Jaune's grip on his sword wavered. "I don't deserve to be here."

Weiss reached for him, aura flickering faintly. "You do. You're still here because you were meant to be. Because Pyrrha believed in something inside you—and so do we."

Yang took another step, her voice breaking. "You're not alone anymore, Jaune. Not ever again. So don't you dare go where we can't follow."

For a long heartbeat, the world was silent.
Then Jaune's sword slipped from his fingers, clattering against the stone. His legs buckled, and he fell to his knees.

Weiss caught him, pulling him close as the sobs finally came—deep, shaking, years overdue. Yang knelt beside them, wrapping both arms around the two of them as the fires of Haven guttered out in the distance.

Here is my second part for jaune arc dealing with his failed attempt.

Weiss and Yang took on a more subtle, protective role. Weiss fussed over his posture, adjusting his armor straps, offering cooling compresses after the small training sessions. "You can't push yourself too hard," she scolded quietly one afternoon. "Your body hasn't recovered from Haven, and your aura, your strength. It's not fully back yet."

Yang, meanwhile, was more physical in her approach, showing up beside him when he walked, lending him her shoulder when his knees felt weak. "C'mon, Arc, one step at a time," she said, her hand firm on his back as he struggled to keep his balance. "I've got you."

Jaune would laugh softly at their fussing, but there were moments—quiet moments in the early mornings or late at night—when he admitted to himself how much he needed it. How much he needed them.

One afternoon, Saphron returned from the market carrying a small bundle. "Meet your nephew," she announced, placing the squirming boy into Jaune's arms. Jaune froze, the boy's tiny fingers wrapped around his own, and Jaune felt a warmth he hadn't felt in months… and a weakness he hadn't expected. His arms trembled slightly under the boy's weight, and a quiet panic hit him.

"Uh… okay," he muttered, his voice tight. "I… I've got this." Ruby bounded forward. "You're doing great, Uncle Jaune!" Nora hopped up, practically bouncing. "He likes you already!"

Yang and Weiss exchanged a look. Yang's grin faltered as she leaned closer, whispering, "Look at him… he's… he's so careful with him."

Weiss's arms folded around herself, tone clipped but betraying concern. "He's… delicate. And you… you're still fragile yourself. Be careful."

Jaune laughed nervously, rocking the baby slightly. "I… I'll be fine… I think." Yang stepped closer, hand brushing his arm. "Hey, don't pretend you're fine. You're recovering, Arc. Let us help you."

Weiss joined him on the other side, her fingers brushing his hair back from his damp forehead. "We're right here. You don't have to do this alone."

For the first time in months, Jaune let himself lean into their care. The baby gurgled happily, unaware of the weight of battles lost and survived, and Jaune smiled softly, allowing his body to relax despite the lingering aches.

By evening, the baby asleep and the house quiet, Jaune sat by the fire, muscles sore and energy low, while Weiss brought him a warm cloth for his forehead and Yang propped his shoulders with a pillow.

"You're doing better," Weiss said softly, tone almost gentle. "But you need to rest."
Yang nudged him playfully. "Yeah, you're not saving the world tonight. Let the rest of us handle it for now." Jaune leaned back, letting the two of them fuss over him, letting himself feel weak and cared for. For once, he didn't have to be strong.

And both Weiss and Yang, watching him settle, hearts unexpectedly tugged, realized that the man before them—still recovering, still fragile, still human—was the same one who had survived Haven and carried them all through so much. And somehow, that made him… even more remarkable.

Beneath the endless white, deeper than any mine had dared to dig, men from the Schnee Dust Company had broken through the last layer of ice and found something that shouldn't have existed.
A mysterious cavern, it was so bright inisde as if it was a world of light. The poor souls that cracked it opened first are now permanently blinded, their minds shattered. All they will say
Is that the light will come for us all, Praise the light.

Once it dimmed after the initial burst of light. It pulsed like the heart of Remnant itself — a pool of liquid radiance, swirling in hues of blue and silver, its surface alive with whispers that carried on the air. The engineers had no words for it. The scientists had too many. Only one man saw it clearly, an opportunity.

Jacques Schnee stood at the edge of the abyss, the glow from below painting his pristine white coat in ghostly colors. The ice reflected a fractured, shimmering version of his face — cold, calculating, untouched by awe.

Behind him, the rhythmic click of metal boots echoed through the chamber.
Dr. Merlot adjusted his spectacles, eyes alight with feverish curiosity.

"Magnificent, isn't it?" he whispered, almost to himself. "The readings… it's not Dust. Not Aura. Something older, purer. The air hums with creation. Can you feel it, Mr. Schnee?" Jacques's gaze never left the pool. "I can only feel cost, and danger. Tell me if it's even worth all that. "

Merlot leaned forward, a dark spark in his eyes. "You think in ledgers. But think of legacies. This… this could reshape the very nature of life. Imagine a pool that builds rather than destroys — something that can be harnessed, amplified. Imagine the power to strengthen bodies, amplify souls, even grant humans the ability to generate Dust themselves."

A low hum rose from the cavern, as though the light itself agreed. Jacques's gaze fell again to the pool. "Soldiers who never tire. Miners who never fail. Hunters loyal to the company alone." He smiled, small, deliberate, predatory. "You're saying I could make them?"

Merlot's grin returned, sharper than ever. "With time. And blood." From his coat, he produced a small vial. Inside, a droplet of the glowing liquid hovered, pulsing with its own heartbeat. "A fragment of the pool. Alive, Mr. Schnee. It wants to bond. To build."

The vial cast Jacques's face in divine blue, and for the first time, something flickered behind his calm exterior — not fear, but hunger. "And you're certain it can be contained?"

Merlot chuckled softly. "Contained? No. Guided, yes. With the right vessel." Jacques repeated, "The right vessel?" "Subjects," Merlot said simply. "Human. Faunus. Those with strong Aura or strong will. Desperation helps — it breeds survival, adaptability, strength."

Jacques exhaled, watching his breath curl in the icy air. "Then find me some. Quietly. Prisoners. Laborers. Atlas doesn't question where its failures go, and I won't answer if anyone asks about this one." Merlot's grin widened. "Discretion — the finest currency."

He turned back to the pool, eyes reflecting the glow. "One day, Mr. Schnee, the world will call this a miracle. A second genesis. And your name will be the first written in its history."

Jacques adjusted his gloves, voice cold as the ice around them. "I'm not interested in history, Doctor. I'm interested in patents."
Merlot laughed quietly, the sound echoing through the cavern long after Jacques's footsteps faded. Alone, he knelt before the pool.

It pulsed again — as if sensing him. The hum grew into a whisper, ancient, a voice that was not human.

Merlot froze. Then, with a trembling smile, he removed a glove and dipped a fingertip into the liquid. The light flared — blinding, holy, terrifying. Whispers became a chorus.

"Oh yes," he murmured, reverent and unhinged. "We will." The cavern trembled. Cracks spidered across the ceiling as a column of azure light erupted upward, piercing the frost and storm above.

Far above, Jacques paused on the lift as the light reached him, illuminating his pale eyes. He did not flinch. He simply adjusted his tie and smiled.

Dr. Merlot stood before one of the pods, clipboard in hand, his smile razor-thin. "Subject A-07. Male. Faunus. Notable Aura compatibility. Psychological profile: violent tendencies, anti-human sentiment. Perfect instability for adaptation."

He tapped the glass. The body within floated still — a young man with crimson hair drifting like a flame through water. The bull's horns had been shaved down, half-hidden by bandages. Tubes traced veins of silver across his skin, feeding into the glowing veins that pulsed beneath.

"Adam Taurus," Merlot said softly. "Let's see if the light can tame the beast." A hum filled the room as the containment seals opened. The luminous liquid drained, leaving Adam gasping on the platform, his eyes snapping open — no longer red, but shimmering with fractured blue.

Technicians backed away as he collapsed, coughing. His voice came hoarse, hollow. "What… what did you do to me?" Merlot leaned down, expression almost paternal. "We improved you. You were lost, angry, broken. The light cleanses such impurities. How do you feel?"

Adam blinked. His heartbeat echoed — not in his chest, but everywhere. In the walls. In the hum of the machinery. In the light itself. "Calm," he said finally. Confused, but true. "I feel… calm."

"Excellent," Merlot murmured. "You'll serve the Company well. You'll protect, not destroy. You'll find meaning in your strength — purpose in your obedience."

Weeks passed. Adam healed, trained, obeyed. The hatred that once burned in him now flickered low, replaced by a strange serenity. He fought for the SDC's security forces — fast, efficient, unstoppable. They called him Project Dawn and Jacques? He was pleased.

The Company lavished their loyal subjects with luxury: personal quarters, new weapons, even artifical families crafted for morale stability. To the world, they were elite soldiers. To the SDC, they were living prototypes.

But sometimes, in his dreams, Adam heard the whispers again , the same voice that had called to Merlot in the cavern.
It repeats faintly "…create… serve… ascend…"

He would wake drenched in sweat, eyes flickering between blue and red. For a moment, the hatred returned, faint, fragile, human. Then it would fade, swallowed again by the light.

The Xolotl Empire

The Xolotl Empire emerged over a millennium ago on the northwest shore of Vacuo, a region of rugged coastlines, volcanic cliffs, and dense jungles. Named for Xolotl, their god of fire, lightning, and the guide of souls to the afterlife, the empire's culture was a brutal reflection of its namesake's duality: a fiery, electrifying force of conquest paired with a grim obsession with death and the supernatural. The Xolotl people believed they were chosen by a divine power—later revealed to be Salem—to dominate Remnant and usher humanity into a new era under the Grimm's dominion.

The Xolotl Empire's society was highly stratified, ruled by a theocratic monarchy led by a Tlatoani (emperor), who claimed descent from Xolotl himself and served as Salem's earthly voice. Below the Tlatoani were priest-warriors, who conducted rituals and led armies, and a caste of nobles who oversaw agriculture, trade, and tribute collection. The empire's economy thrived on Vacuo's Dust deposits, coastal fishing, and conquest of neighboring tribes, whose captives fueled their gruesome rituals. Their capital, Tlacopan, was a sprawling city of obsidian pyramids and bone-strewn altars, built around a volcanic crater believed to be a gateway to the Grimm's realm.

The Xolotl's religion centered on worshipping Salem as a goddess of destruction and rebirth, whom they called "The Dark Mother". They believed the Grimm were her divine emissaries, sent to purge the weak and test the strong. To appease Salem and the Grimm, the Xolotl practiced human sacrifice and cannibalism, offering captives' hearts and flesh in elaborate ceremonies atop their pyramids. These rituals, infused with Aura, were thought to strengthen the Grimm and grant the Xolotl supernatural power, including limited control over lesser Grimm. The empire's warriors, known as Jaguar Knights and Eagle Priests, were feared for their ferocity, wielding obsidian-tipped macuahuitls and Dust-infused spears that crackled with lightning.

The Xolotl Empire's expansionist campaigns conquered much of northern Vacuo, subjugating local tribes and extracting tribute in the form of Dust, slaves, and food. Their reputation for brutality and supernatural prowess made them a terror across the continent, but it also sowed the seeds of their downfall, as neighboring tribes sought aid from foreign powers.
The Fall of the Xolotl Empire

Approximately 1200 years ago, the Xolotl Empire's attracted the attention of the ailing Quitalan and Hellenic Empires, two kingdoms seeking to expand their influence in Vacuo's resource-rich northwest. The arrival of Valean and Mistralian expeditions, composed of Aura unlocked warriors, soldiers, and settlers, marked the beginning of the empire's end. These foreign forces allied with oppressed Vacuan tribes, who had suffered under Xolotl raids and sacrifices. The resulting conflict, known as the Vacuan Conquest, was a brutal campaign spanning decades.

The Valean-Mistralian coalition leveraged superior technology, such as Dust forged steel and bows and arrows to counter the Xolotl's numbers and Grimm allies. The empire's priest-warriors summoned Grimm to bolster their armies, but the coalition's Aura unlocked combatants, trained to combat such creatures, turned the tide. Key battles, such as the Siege of Tlacopan, saw the coalition breach the capital's defenses, toppling its obsidian pyramids and desecrating its altars. The final Tlatoani, Xipilli the Flayed, was killed in a ritual duel by a Valean Knight, shattering the empire's leadership.

With the Xolotl Empire's collapse, its territories were divided among the victors. The Valean settlers established the sub-kingdom of Hispania, a coastal state blending Valean governance with Vacuan resilience, which later became independent of Vale with the final collapse of the Quitalan Empire. Mistralian colonies, such as Aztlan, emerged further inland, while liberated Vacuan tribes formed smaller states such as Lusitania, Anansi, and Chaac. Tlacopan was abandoned, its ruins left to decay under Vacuo's harsh sun, though its subterranean temples and Grimm cult artifacts remained intact, hidden beneath the jungle and volcanic ash. 200 years later, Malik the Sunderer would unite these various subkingdoms into Vacuo, founding his capital at an oasis on the border between the Xolotl jungles and the great desert of Osiris. He also converted to the Tablebreaker Religion, which became the dominant faith of the continent.

The Xolotl Empire's fall did not erase its influence. Its ruins—crumbling pyramids, labyrinthine catacombs, and Dust-infused altars—dot northern Vacuo, particularly along the northwest shore. These sites are steeped in dark Aura, attracting Grimm and serving as pilgrimage points for Grimm cultists and Salem's agents. The empire's artifacts are highly sought after by those loyal to Salem.

Over the centuries, Salem's followers have scoured Xolotl ruins for these artifacts. The 1K Society in Atlas, unaware of Salem's true nature, has also collected Xolotl relics, believing them to be tools for their imperial ambitions. Meanwhile, Jacques Schnee, in his bid to join the 1K Society, has funded expeditions to smuggle Xolotl artifacts through the Schnee Dust Company, hoping to curry favor with the society's Inner Circle.

The sub-kingdom of Hispania, established on the ruins of Xolotl territory, has a complex relationship with this legacy. Its people, a mix of Valean colonists and Vacuan natives, view the Xolotl as a cautionary tale of hubris and cruelty. Hispania's government, a republic with elected governors, actively patrols Xolotl ruins to prevent cultists from reactivating their power. However, some Hispanians secretly revere the Xolotl's strength, forming underground cults that mimic their rituals. This among other reasons is why Vacuo's political landscape is so tenuous.

Cultural and Religious Impact

The Xolotl Empire's culture, while destroyed, left a lasting mark on northern Vacuo. Their Aztec-inspired aesthetic—obsidian architecture, feathered headdresses, and lightning-motif weaponry—persists in Hispania's art and fashion, though sanitized to distance it from the empire's horrors. The Xolotl's worship of Salem as the Dark Mother influenced later Grimm cults, which adopted similar rituals of sacrifice and cannibalism. The Tablebreaker religion remains strong in Vacuo, and Paladins, Warrior Nuns and Priests are often busy against nomadic tribes and raiders who adhere to the ancient cults of blood and sacrifice.

Across from him, Atlas soldiers sat in rigid silence — every chestplate marked with the Schnee crest, the symbol of power and purity.

Dr. Merlot sat opposite, tapping a stylus against his datapad with a patient rhythm. "You're fortunate, you know," he said conversationally, tone almost kind. "Most Faunus test subjects never make it to the lab. But you're an Arc. That name still carries weight."

This poor boy, Jaune on the verge of greatest if he doesnt know yet, met his gaze with defiant blue eyes that couldn't quite hide the fear beneath. Merlot smiled thinly. "Ansel, correct? That little hunting town? Your family's bred Huntsmen for generations, great reservoirs of Aura, even unawakened. A legacy made flesh."

Jaune's voice trembled. "Where are you taking me?" Merlot's eyes gleamed. "To your future, of course. Atlas rewards those who serve."
He leaned forward, voice lowering to a whisper. "But if you'd prefer, we could always bring in one of your sisters instead. The younger ones, perhaps? We have use for volunteers of your bloodline."

Jaune's heart lurched. "No! Leave them alone!"
Merlot smiled, a thin curve of triumph. "Then cooperate, and ensure they remain… untouched by progress."

The boy looked down, silent. His fists clenched until his knuckles bled. Merlot leaned back, satisfied. "Good lad. You've just saved them — for now." The transport rumbled on through the blizzard, toward a future written in steel and sorrow.


Atlas Research Facility S17 — Containment Wing

The facility breathed like a sleeping beast.
Pipes along the walls pulsed with cold blue light, feeding power to the sealed chambers below. As they dragged Jaune through the corridor, he glimpsed shadows through glass — bodies suspended in tanks, faces slack and eyes glowing faintly, like broken stars.

At the end of the hall waited Jacques Schnee, flanked by guards. His immaculate coat caught the sterile light as he regarded Jaune with disinterest, the way one might appraise livestock. "Small," Jacques observed. "You're certain this is the right specimen?"

Merlot's tone bordered on reverence. "Unawakened Aura, yes — but readings surpass all expectations. His potential is impressive. If the Light binds properly, we may see the first true fusion."

Jacques adjusted his tie, already turning away. "Then proceed. The Arc family should be proud their blood serves progress." "I just want to go home," Jaune whispered. Jacques didn't even glance back. "Progress doesn't need permission."

Testing Chamber — Project DAWN: Phase II

They strapped him down beneath a web of glass conduits filled with liquid light. The air buzzed with static, energy building until every surface thrummed. Assistants whispered as Merlot monitored the readings, a manic glint in his eyes. "Begin the infusion."

The first drop of light touched Jaune's skin — and he screamed. Golden Aura burst from him, raw and unrefined, colliding with the azure energy surging through the system. Sparks danced. Monitors exploded. The chamber filled with searing brilliance as gold and blue devoured one another.

"His Aura's rejecting it!" a technician cried.
"Let it!" Merlot shouted, leaning in. "The Light doesn't seek obedience — it seeks will!"
For a fleeting instant, the storm of energy took shape — wings of radiant gold unfurling behind the boy, a phantom echo of something greater. Then came the detonation, then the Light and finally the silence.



Observation Room — Time Unknown

When Jaune woke, everything was quiet.
Cracked glass glimmered above him like a shattered sky. His restraints were gone, but his body felt foreign, heavy, hollow, and bright. His veins pulsed faintly gold beneath the surface.
Behind the glass, Dr. Merlot watched, trembling in awe. "He survived. The Light didn't consume him, it chose him.This is it"

Jaune turned toward the window, eyes unfocused. "Who… am I?" Merlot smiled gently to him, the way a liar smiles at a child. "You are Jean," he said softly. "Subject DAWN-1. The first of a new kind of being, the bridge between humanity and the Light. My magnum opus"

The boy blinked, confusion clouding his gaze. His voice was barely a whisper. "Jean…"
Merlot nodded, the name already rewriting history. "Remember it well, my boy. The Arc line no longer exists. You belong to Atlas now."

Behind the reinforced glass, the heart of the facility pulsed once, deep and alive. The Light had found its vessel.

Far beneath the layers of code and chemical sleep, something small stirred.
A distant memory, a laugh, a field, a promise whispered beneath a summer sky.

A sister's voice, calling him home.

Jaune.

Jaune finds himself having flashbacks or memories of a different life, and Nick catches his son doing katas with his own fuck-off huge sword like he was born with it in his hand. Isabel nearly has a heart attack when a young Jaune vanishes near a river and finds that he's not only swimming in the deep end like he was born in it, but he's somehow turned an entire pack of crocodiles into his minions, almost like he was a larger predator and they were terrified of him.

Pyrrha: "Um, Jaune? Is that a crocodile?"
Jaune: "Yup. His name's Itachi!"
Ren: "You named a crocodile 'Weasel'?"
Jaune: "He reminds me of an old friend, I guess."

Blake: *stares in horror and jealousy as a giant crocodile gorges itself on Beacon's premium tuna*

He was not a man easily impressed, but even he could not deny the spectacle playing out on the holographic display before him. Footage from Facility S17, a boy, surrounded by light, tearing through steel restraints as though they were smoke.

Jacques Schnee's reflection shimmered beside the projection, his tone calm and rehearsed. "Project DAWN represents a leap forward in Aura synthesis. Imagine, General, soldiers empowered not by Semblance, but by science. Atlas could be untouchable."

Vale's eyes narrowed. "You're asking for unrestricted access to our recruitment pools and you want SDC oversight on research directives?" Dr. Merlot stepped into view, smile sharp as a scalpel. "Think of it as collaboration, General. The Schnee Dust Company provides the materials, you provide the soldiers. Together, we perfect the weapon."

Jacques' gaze slid toward Vale, voice lowering. "Of course, such vision requires funding, and discretion. Certain channels can be arranged… privately."

The gleam of credit chits flickered across the holo-table. Vale hesitated, pride warring with greed and lost. He pressed his hand to the table, sealing the authorization. "You'll have what you need. Atlas will see this through."Jacques smiled. "Atlas always does."

Weeks Later — The Fall of General Vale

It was supposed to be a routine Grimm-clearing operation.A convoy of armored transports moved through Mantle's lower districts, Vale riding at the head, confident, oblivious.

From the shadows above, Merlot watched through a surveillance drone, voice cold over the comm. "Release the pheromone dispersal. Let them come." The first Beowolf struck before the soldiers could react. Then a dozen more. Then the sky darkened with wings.

Vale's panicked calls for air support went unanswered.In the chaos, SDC security forces arrived — pristine white armor glinting under the flames. Leading them was a figure in experimental combat gear, a faint golden glow pulsing from beneath his collar.
Subject DAWN-1, Jean.He moved like light itself, cutting through Grimm in arcs of pure brilliance.Beside him, another soldier in red and black, Adam Taurus, his mask glinting, blade flashing with crimson Dust.

The two cut a path through the chaos while Atlas' own command was wiped out. Jacques watched the broadcast later, feigning sorrow before the cameras. "A tragedy. General Vale died a hero. But thanks to the Schnee Dust Company's intervention, Mantle still stands."

Applause filled the airwaves. Behind the scenes, Merlot's voice purred over the comms. "He served his purpose. Now Atlas is ours to shape." Jacques adjusted his cufflinks, smiling faintly. "Not Atlas, Doctor. The world."

Deep Within Facility S17 — Observation Chamber

Jean stood before the mirror, eyes distant. His reflection flickered between blue and gold.
In the glass, he saw not a soldier — but a ghost.
A whisper rose in the silence.
"Jaune."

He turned sharply. No one there. Only the hum of machines — and the faint, familiar ache of something human, buried beneath the Light.

Mantle Outskirts — Operation Dawnlight

Two Months Before the Fall of General Vale

The call came at midnight. Atlas Command was stretched thin; a Grimm pack had breached Mantle's outer district. No Huntsmen were available for immediate deployment. Taiyang Xiao Long didn't think twice.

He'd been teaching at Signal, restless, missing the field. A last-minute mission from Atlas, a chance to make a difference. He said yes. The convoy arrived at dawn: two armored transports, four Atlas soldiers. Too small a team for a Grimm surge, but they said the rest were waiting at the site.

When they reached the refinery ruins north of Mantle, the snow was untouched. No Grimm tracks. No movement. "Something's off," Tai murmured, hand on his weapon.

Then the comms cut.
From the ridgeline above, white-armored figures descended, rifles crackling with stun charges. No insignia. No unit codes. Atlas soldiers didn't move like that.

Tai fought hard, aura flaring gold through the storm. He dropped three before they brought him down. A dart hissed against his neck.
The world tilted — light folding in on itself.
The last thing he heard before blacking out was a voice, smooth and clinical: "He'll do nicely."

Facility S17 — Sublevel Theta

White light burned his eyes.
Tai woke in restraints, cold metal biting into his skin. Machinery hummed around him; the air smelled of ozone and antiseptic. Dr. Merlot stood beyond reinforced glass, flanked by lab techs in sterile coats.

"Welcome back, Mr. Xiao Long," Merlot said pleasantly. "You've proven… stronger than most." Tai struggled against the restraints. "What did you do to me?"

Merlot smiled faintly. "You volunteered for service. We simply gave you purpose." He gestured toward a console pulsing with pale golden energy. "Atlas recovered traces of the Pool of Light — the raw essence of creation itself, beneath the northern mantle. We've learned to refine it, to bottle the divine."

He stepped closer to the glass, voice lowering. "Most subjects couldn't withstand direct injection. Their Auras fractured. Their bodies tried to contain the power… and failed." He tapped a button. A side wall shimmered to life — a holographic projection of containment pods.

Inside them moved things — shapes once human, now distorted. Pale flesh threaded with veins of radiant white, eyes glowing like lanterns. Their movements twitched, unnatural, almost insect-like.

Merlot's tone was calm, clinical. "They were weak. They let the Light consume them — became beasts made of brilliance and pain. Marvelous, in their own way." He turned his gaze back to Tai. "But you… your Aura resists it. Adapts. You're not burning — you're becoming."

Tai's breathing quickened, gold light flickering from his veins. "You turned them into monsters."
Merlot smiled. "No, Mr. Xiao Long. They turned themselves into proof."

He pressed another command. Needles lowered from above, glinting like glass. "Now… let's see how much further your soul can stretch before it breaks." Tai's scream echoed through the chamber — a raw, golden howl swallowed by the machines.

Observation Log 41-B — Project REVENANT

Subject 07 (Xiao Long, T.) exhibits stable Aura retention under direct Pool-synthesis exposure. No critical degradation observed.
Previous test subjects displayed Light-induced monstrosity — uncontrolled aura crystallization and neural collapse. Terminated for containment safety. Subject's emotional triggers remain anchored to family identifiers. "Summer" elicits rapid energy fluctuation.



Merlot's private annotation: He is more than a vessel. The Light recognizes him, bends for him. The others begged for death. He fights. It's… inspiring.

Patch — One Month Later

Snow drifted quietly through the trees.
Summer Rose sat on the porch of the Xiao Long home, cloak wrapped tight around her shoulders. Yang ran in circles chasing Ruby's giggles through the snow, while the forge light flickered behind them. Qrow Branwen leaned against the railing, flask in hand. "So Atlas finally sent their story?"

Summer nodded. "They said it was a Grimm ambush. No body recovered." Qrow frowned. "That's it? Just… gone?" Summer's gaze stayed on the horizon. "It's Atlas. That's all they ever say."

Qrow shifted uncomfortably. "You don't buy it, do you?" Her voice was soft but steady. "I don't have the luxury not to. I've got two girls to raise. I can't keep hoping every time the door opens."

Atlas — Facility S17

Deep beneath the city, the Pool's synthesized light shimmered through the glass floor of the containment lab. Tai hung suspended, golden veins glowing faintly beneath his skin. Monitors flickered with erratic patterns. His heartbeat was steady, too steady.

Merlot stood before the tank, a faint smile ghosting across his face.
"You've surpassed the others," he said quietly. "Even the monsters envy you now." He placed his hand on the glass. "You will change the world, Mr. Xiao Long, whether you wish it or not."

The glass pulsed beneath his touch. Tai's eyes opened for an instant — bright gold, filled with fury, the monitors screamed. Merlot only smiled wider. "Ah. There it is. The Light remembers who it belonged to."

Patch — That Night

The fire was low, the wind sharp.
Summer tucked Ruby into bed, smoothing the blanket across her small chest. Yang's laughter had faded into steady breathing in the next room. The candle flickered — then went out.

A crimson shimmer split the air, scattering feathers across the floor. Raven Branwen stepped through, her cloak trailing frost. Her eyes darted around the room before fixing on Summer. "Where is he?"



Summer blinked, startled. "Raven? What are you..." "Tai," Raven said, her voice edged with panic. "Atlas says he's dead, but something's off. I've heard whispers, disappearances, sealed convoys, missions no one comes back from. What did they tell you? Even some of the tribe have gone missing?"

Summer swallowed hard. "They said it was Grimm. He died protecting a transport." Raven's expression hardened. "Atlas lies. Always has. And when they lie this big… something's wrong."

Summer's voice cracked. "If you know something." Raven shook her head. "I don't. Not yet." She looked toward the distant glow of Atlas, a storm flashing behind her eyes. "But I can smell blood on the snow , and Atlas is knee-deep in it."

The air shimmered again as she opened a portal."If he's alive," she whispered, "I'll find him." Then she was gone — leaving Summer alone in the dark, clutching her cloak as the wind howled through the trees.

Now, notice the patch on Ironwood's right temple? Apparently that's an implant meant to help his brain manage his cybernetics.

So in RWBY limb replacement prosthetics of the kind we see in the show require neural links.

Meaning potentially direct links into the Brain! Especially since the Frontal Lobe is where the inhibition centers are.

So.

Yang puts her arm on the Mantle WiFi, giving Watts almost direct access to her brain.

Watts seemed a little too happy about being captured. It wasn't about Salem approaching, it was being able to more easily access James and his Previous gen implant!

He scrambled their brains! That's why Ironwood went evil! It's why Yang suddenly got the hots for Blake despite her abandonment issues and Blake hitting all of them!

A New Nightmare
So I watched the chainsawman movie, it was epic.
So it gave me an idea for a crossover where a isekai devil at the end of the movie on the beach scene, decides to interfere and send the the three to rwby where denji and reze ends up becoming jaune parents.

If anyone wants to continue it or make there own version they are free do so.

So here is the prologue.

The waves rolled in soft and red beneath the fading sun. Denji stood knee-deep in the surf, chest heaving, blood dripping from the dull tips of his chainsaws. The roar of battle was gone now — only the hiss of the tide and the quiet wheeze of his breath remained. Reze lay a few feet away, face half-buried in the sand. The wind tugged at her wet hair.

"Hey," Denji muttered, stumbling toward her. His voice cracked. "You're still breathing, right?"
Her eyelids fluttered. For a moment, he saw that same look — half a smile, half an apology — before she exhaled and tried to sit up.

He dropped beside her with a tired grin. "Told ya I'd save you." "Idiot," she murmured, though there was no venom in her voice. Just exhaustion. And something that almost sounded like relief.
For a fleeting second, Denji thought maybe this was it , maybe the two of them could actually walk away from all of it,from Makima, from Devils. From hell itself. Then the air split open.

A sound like glass shattering and thunder crashing at once tore through the beach. The horizon folded inward, black and gold and endless. Out of it stepped something wrong — a figure that seemed to change shape every time Denji blinked. Its face was made of hundreds of other faces, whispering all at once.

Beam burst from the waves, tail thrashing. "Lord Chainsaw Man! That's no ordinary devil! That's..." The creature tilted its head. "...the Isekai Devil," it finished for him, voice echoing in a thousand tones. "Born from the fear of being taken somewhere you don't belong."

Denji raised his chainsaws again, but his hands trembled. "You talk too much, freak." The Isekai Devil's smile spread across every face on its body. "And you were supposed to die under her thumb. How disappointing for Makima."

Reze's eyes widened. "Makima…?" "She had plans for you all," the Devil murmured. "But I like rewriting plans." Before anyone could move, its hand opened — and the world bent. Wind howled as a vortex of color and void erupted, dragging everything toward it. Sand, water, even the sunset spiraled inward.

"Denji!" Reze screamed, reaching for him.
He grabbed her arm, chains whirring as he tried to anchor them into the ground. Beam lunged forward, fangs out. "LONG LIVE..." The rest was torn away.

They hit the ground hard. Denji groaned, rolling over on cool grass that shouldn't have existed. The air smelled clean. Wrongly clean. No smog, no city rot, just wind and dirt and something sweet.

Reze stirred beside him, blinking at the shattered sky above. "Denji… where are we?"
"No clue," he muttered. "But… that moon looks busted." Beam landed headfirst in a nearby stream, tail fin twitching. "My lord… I believe we have been relocated!"

Denji squinted up at the moon again — cracked like glass, half a planet missing. "Yeah, no kidding." QA growl broke the silence. They turned.

A creature stood at the edge of the woods, something black and hulking, eyes glowing red, bones like armor. It stepped forward on clawed feet, the ground cracking beneath it.
Denji sighed. "Tch. Another devil?"The thing snarled, then froze. Its gaze met Denji's. Something primal flashed in its eyes, and it backed away. Whining. Terrified. Reze frowned. "It's… scared?" "Yeah," Denji said, flexing his fingers. "Guess even monsters got good instincts."

They walked until their legs gave out, until the trees parted and a small farmhouse appeared ahead, lantern light spilling through the windows. An older man stepped outside, grey-haired and gentle-eyed, with a woman right behind him holding a blanket.

"Good gods," the man breathed. "You three look like you've been through hell." Denji laughed weakly. "Something like that."

"Come in, come in!" the woman said, ushering them toward the door. "We'll get you cleaned up." Denji hesitated, glancing back at Reze. She gave a tiny nod. They followed.

Inside, warmth replaced the cold. The man smiled kindly. "Name's Giles Arc," he said. "You're safe here." For the first time in a long time, Denji believed it.

Meanwhile… Tokyo.

The Control Devil stood in silence, the city lights painting her in gold and shadow. Makima's eyes were closed. She could feel it, faint, distant, flickering like a dying signal. A trace of Beam's madness. And somewhere beyond that, him.
"You made a mistake," she whispered to the void. "You took what's mine."

A ripple of pressure swept through the room as the air grew thin. Her smile was soft. Beautiful. Terrifying. "If the Isekai Devil thinks it can steal from me… "Her eyes opened. Rings of amber glowed. "…then I'll simply have to follow."

Outside, somewhere unseen, the rift between worlds pulsed again — and from its cracks, other devils began to crawl. Drawn by something new. Something hungry.

In this new world, where Grimm roamed and Hunters fought with light, a new kind of nightmare had just arrived.

From the Deep
Humans often wonder about life, death, and the divine. Few wonder about death in relation to the divine, outside of gods of death.

It would be surprising for many humans to learn that death for a god is very similar to human. Die, see what afterlife has a claim to your soul, either go to the afterlife or get most of yourself scrubbed clean and reincarnated.

Gods just get by with a much less thorough clean. So Neptune remembered his former self.

The god of tides. Which is also why he is terrified of them.

Cold cold, there's no air, why is there no air?

It's almost funny. A water god dying to drowning.

It didn't feel funny.

And if he's completely honest with himself it was deserved.

It had been the usual game, find a human, bless human, send them out to be a hero.

The human he picked was excellent. So excellent in fact that all the other elemental gods (outside of those weirdo brothers) also blessed her. And she rose to their every challenge, she killed every monster, toppled every tyrant, ended every war.

It was amazing! Inspiring! A tale for the ages.

It was boring.

So the gods decided to take their gifts back.

But they refused. And isn't that shocking?

A human loved by the sea more than the god who commands it, embraced by the skies, cradled by the earth, and kissed by the flame. She was beloved by the planet.

And she was unhappy to learn of the gods games. She didn't hunt them, but she refused to listen to them any longer.

Their nature as gods meant they couldn't abide a human, a mortal, running around with power like that who didn't heed them.

So they came for her. And she cut them down. Pyrakanos turned to ash in a hold that almost looked like a lovers embrace.

She got it the easiest. Terraros the earth god had his body melted and purified again and again until there was nothing left but a hunk of iron. She made a statue of a tree out of it.

He isn't quite sure what happened to thundarossa the sky queen she didn't go out with a bang but with a whisper on the winds.

And then it was his turn. He should have given up, let her be, but he was arrogant and enraged. He could beat her at a beach and avenge the other fallen gods.

She drowned him. A god of the sea, she tore his control away from him and let the sea do what it naturally does.

It was not a quick death.

"Yo nep you good?"

He'd spaced out, lost in memories. It happens from time to time.

"Yeah I'm fine man, so where's this friend you want me to meet?"

"He just got here, you're gonna love him dude, jaunes a ton of fun."

Neptune turns to look at the new arrival and once again his breath is stolen away.

hair like straw spun from gold and wide blue innocent eyes.

His chest tightens and the world fades away. It's just the two of them.

He screams.
