[RWBY] RWBY Shorts

You know, I'm surprise that there is no crossover with the Destiny games since they do have a common premise (super-powers warriors frighting from a devasted world against monsters from the void)
There are, not as much, but there are. Summer Rose as a guardian, Ruby, even a few with Jaune.

Damn you Salem! New
Another Salem trolling moment!

Salem: "Have you ever wondered where the idea of you being Qrow Branwen's daughter started? It was me, Ruby Rose! I went to Patch, shapeshifted into a nosy old biddy, and mentioned it during bridge night!"
Ruby: *recoils*
Salem: "And that time when you were thirteen and thought you wet the bed? The one your sister wouldn't stop teasing you for weeks about? It was me, Ruby! I sent a dwarf Nevermore through your open window with a pail of ammonia water!"
Ruby: "You fiend!"
Salem: "Oh, and your mother's cookie recipe? The one your sister brags about? It's mine, Ruby! I wrote it! Summer Rose couldn't boil water without burning down a house!"
Ruby: "Nooooo!"
Salem: "And your team placements? I meddled in that, too! You could have been in the Arc's team, evolving your silver eyes and testing yourself against the Nikos girl, and instead you became a prop for the Blake Belladonna Hypocrisy Hour! I PUT YOU IN A TEAM OF GIRLFAILURES AND KEPT THE ARC CLAN PASTRY SECRETS FAR AWAAAAAAY!"
Ruby: "Wait, how did-"
Salem: "It's magic, I don't have to explain it! Also, that one time you tried baking a cake and missed the sugar for the salt? IT WAS ME! I switched the labels and ruined your father's birthday cake while you were getting the eggs!"
Ruby: *lips quivering* "Then...you...Yang and Blake..."
Salem: "Oh no, that quasi-NTR bullshit with the fucked up psychological implications is just nasty."

Huh. I think I just realized something.

The gods played Ozma and Salem.

Ok so their big bitch fit was about Salem upsetting balance (and going to dark second).

So they made Salem immortal. Except by their own rules they need a balance to her. Remnant can't have one hostile immortal so they made ozma a counter immortal.

And I think that might also be how their immortality works.

Kill ozma but Salem is still alive? He gets dragged back.

Do fatal damage to Salem but ozma is alive? She regenerates.

The only way for them to die would be to die together and the gods ensured they'd always be fighting.

Stolen from Tumblr by Wu Gang -"Jaune: Gods says he made everything except me and wants to know who and what I am."

The Idea the Brothers look and Jaune and see he technically the TREE Creation sends me, 2 Elementals with inflated Ego looking at Jaune in horror because THERE Creater is able to effect Remnant and that includes them. But from the outside POV it looks like the Gods are freaking out about Jaune and i just want Salem and Oz to have a mental breakdown at that revelation

A post-Haven prompt

Because Jaune pretty much used his Semblance to basically snatch Weiss from the hands of Death and because it was Jaune's first time using it; the experience was far more intense for Weiss than anyone else. As a result, Weiss has gained a sort Jaune-sense that is kind of attuned to Jaune's Aura and Soul.

...or tl;dr, Weiss can instinctively tell the real thing from a fake due to the fact she kind of always feels a "pull" towards Jaune's soul ever since Haven.

Th this AU idea has a splash of fate, zatch bell, helltaker, and a few others.

Nora Valkyrie was a cheerful but very lonely girl.

No family, no friends (or at least none who hang around for long) , and no plan for the future.

She's give anything to have a friend. Which is probably why she wound up carving a pentagram at midnight on her birthday.

This was her last shot. She's tried anonymous friend meet ups, dating sites, jail, gangs, conspiracy boards, even underwater basket weaving forums!

But luckily(?) for her before she could contemplate becoming a crazy cat lady the pentagram lit up.

Nora made her single desperate wish for a friend. Just one that's all she needs!

The circle hears her wish. It takes its price and gives her her reward.

Nora Valkyrie didn't summon a friend.

She summoned seven of them. Straight from hell.

The seven deadly sins.
Ren - Sloth
Yang - wrath
Blake -lust
Ruby - gluttony
Pyrrha - pride
Jaune - envy
Weiss - greed

Nora finally has friends! And as a bonus she got magic to boot! Lightning is so cool!

She's just gotta be careful about the supernatural threats she's now aware of.

Like the other people who summoned demons and might want to feed her friends to their friends to make them stronger.

Or the random hidden supernatural monsters.

Or the magic police led by a immortal witch.

Oh poo.

Eh, still worth it in Nora's eyes.

I paired every sin and character with who I thought out of the 7 other rwbyjnpr members they matched best.

Yep.

And Nora is Thor who was definitely his child.

Jaune: "Would it be bad to say I have a divine voice advising me in my head?"
Pyrrha: "Chosen by the gods."
Ren: "I'm a literary epic."

Ruby: "Wait, then why aren't you-"

Jaune/Michael and the Heavenly Host: "WE WILL NOT HAVE OUR CHAMPION CAST INTO DAMNATION WITH THEE."
Pyrrha: "Grandfather Zeus calls you four the 'blood of Typhon'."
Ren: "I'm about filial duty, not terrorism."
Nora: "My sorta-adopted granduncle Loki says you four make him look good, then he got all sulky and went off to convince Uncle Jorm to eat Menagerie."

An amusing thought; Remnant has a system similar to the Nasuverse's textures and all myths are somewhat true. The Brothers of Light and Darkness exist, but they're Ozma's and Salem's gods, with the deities of other religions active. In Vacuo, for example, the moon was shattered by the Primordial Serpent of Chaos, Apophis, in his battle with Ra and his defenders - and that's also true.

Ozpin: "She has taken many names over the years - the Nightmare Queen, the Dark Mother-"
Sakura: *teacup shatters* "Ara? Please, go ON-"
Ozpin: "Her goal is destruction-"

*A blue-skinned four-armed woman superimposes herself over Jaune's grand-aunt Sakura, both smiling eeriely.*

Arjun: "KALI-MA, NO! WE'LL HANDLE IT! PLEASE DON'T DESTROY THE UNIVERSE!"

Role-playing New
*Salem gets blasted into the air by Ruby then sucker punched by Yang who got launched by Weiss and smashes through a wall*

Salem: yeah that's enough. OZ. I'm calling in that favor. We're switching early.

Ruby: what?

Oz: fine but you have to fix up the castle before I move in.

Salem: fine but I'm keeping Cinder!

Ruby: somebody better start talking or I let the crazy blonde start swinging.

Oz:....how do you all feel about being the bad guys?

Everyone: what?

Oz: we're immortal and get bored. We tried killing each other for the first few centuries but after a while the hate just kinda burned out and got stale. So....

Salem: we turned it into a giant roleplay. Every few centuries we do something to shake up the world and swap who's the bad guy.

Weiss: so the story about the gods was fake?

Salem: oh no, those guys are dicks.

Ruby: you killed my mom! And pyrrha!

Salem: no. No no no. That's not on me. I maimed your mom after she broke into my house and decapitated me 12 times. She's still alive, and hey since we're clearing the board I'll let all the silvers out of the goop Grimm ok?

Yang: what about pyrrha?

Salem: fun fact, when you're one of the only two people who knows magic and you're teaching someone else they really can't tell if the disintegration spell you're teaching them is actually a teleportation spell.

Yang: you know you're being a lot more casual then you were five minutes ago.

Salem: it's almost like I was roleplaying.

Yang: the sarcasm is noted and not appreciated.

Ruby: what about the Grimm? Have you been killing millions of people for your games?!

Salem: truthfully? Yeah I have no control over those spawning. I can directly control some of them but for the most part their just doing what the god of darkness would have done.

Yang: be a dick?

Salem: be a dick.

Yang:....soooooo we're the bad guys now?

Oz: if you want.

Ruby: no! We're supposed to be heroes!

Oz: I'll put self cleaning and dramatic wind runes on your cloak.

Ruby: glory to the darkness!

Salem: oh she's going to be a fun one.

Salem: no. No no no. That's not on me. I maimed your mom after she broke into my house and decapitated me 12 times. She's still alive, and hey since we're clearing the board I'll let all the silvers out of the goop Grimm ok?
pretty sure after the mindrape/agony most the Silvers that survived are going to be insane or just filed with hate

though funny enough 99% of the evil being done by people that Salem keeps in check as her strategy worked really well for her

also can see a post Ever After Jaune snap if Pyrrha wasn't alive in the basement and use the staff to throw the Immortal Couple into the EA as a Fuck you...

Jaune: THAT'S IT! KILLING YOU BOTH!!

Because no way in any reality are Salem and Oz getting out of the EA without being soul rewritten or mind broken

THIS BITES:
Eneru: There is never, has never, and will never be anybody like me, you insignificant worm.
Cross: Pff… Pffhahahahahaaaa…
Eneru: What's so funny?
Cross: You think… that you're so special… That you're unique… well, that idea is just so hilarious… especially because you actually think it's true
Allow me… to enlighten you.
Do you think you're the only one… who lords his powers over others? Who reigns with an iron fist… and who strikes down all who speak against him?
(zap)
N-no… there are hundreds who do that, every. Single. Day. And they do it better than you… or worse, as it were…
Do you think that you're the only one… who takes pleasure in the suffering of others? Who throws their head back and laughs at the agonized screams they cause… as if it were all some great joke?
(zap)

Like… hell… There are thousands… who torture and cause harm… and who enjoy it… and most… don't even know that they like it…
Do you think… that you're the only one… who thinks they're invincible? Who thinks so highly of themselves… that they think they're unbeatable… untouchable… so far above everyone else that they're just ants?
(zap)

That's… hilarious… but no. There are… more people like that… in the world… than I can count… There are so many… just so many…
Men like you… you always think you're one-of-a-kind… But that's not true. You're one-of-a-million. Perfectly uniform… So many of you that you're choking the world, one evil act at a time… If you want unique… then you need to look at the other end of the spectrum.
(zap)
Grgh! You need to get a new schtick, jackass, because that's starting to just tickle.
Eneru:And who would you claim to be unique, hm? You?
Cross: PFHA! As if! No, no, I'm worse than unique… I'm normal. I'm no more unique than you. How's that for a kick—! (gets kicked) AGH!
I'm as normal as it comes… Inside and out, just your everyday guy. People like me… people who can't stand bullies… people who won't let anyone push them around no matter what… People… who won't let bastards like you get away with shit like this… who won't hold their tongues, over shit like this… even if it means they get the crap kicked out of them… even if it could kill them… There's less of us than you, sure… but I'm not unique. I'm the norm.

I LOVE the fanon version that may or may not of had a crush on Ghira and is in a on and off relationship with Irondaddy but FUCK Canon White Fang

and stolen from Watch Party Spacebattle thread on why Dr Knowall should just go kill em all!

That depends on two things:
  1. Them believing a "race traitor"
  2. Them not being so fanatically devoted to Adam that they don't see it as a problem.
  3. The ones who DO have a problem with it not being worried about getting killed because of the hardcore loyalists.
Reminder, the ones with Roman weren't as on board with things as the ones on the train, and even THEY fell back in line when back-up arrived.
It seems Adam, like a true cult leader, may have been encouraging the members to snitch on each other.
Adam's gang was willing to attack Monster Hunter Academy on Planet Absolutely Infested With Monsters That Want To Kill Everyone Who Lives. They're pretty far gone.
To be fair, the Volume One grunts showed some hesitation, but once Roman was put in charge of recruitment, they were able to filter out all the ones who weren't all in for burning it all down, additionally...
I think it's fair to say Adam's been ostracizing to outright killing anyone who's not radicalized enough in his cell, as Tukson shows, while it's not outright gone for now (as Tukson also shows), it's clear most of the members are either hardcore or too easily cowed into toeing the line to stop Adam's complete control of the cell at this point.
THAT!
Adam just wants loyal attack dogs to sate his bloodlust, so he'd want to get rid of anyone who'd wasn't obedient to him, or who could get him in trouble with Sienna.

"Somethingsomething traitor somethingsomething slander somethingsomething false accusation somethingsomething."

Like, this happens IRL when the stakes for dropping the perpetrator are basically nonexistent, unfortunately. Even the members who think they'd be against that kind of thing will probably write it off as either being an aberration in his behavior, or her having sour grapes, or it being untrue, or it being a bad time to oust him, or him being necessary for all the "good" he's doing even if he'll need to be dealt with (asked indecisively to stop, maybe) after the revolution happens and going after him now is just weakening the cause, or they can't leave because their friends are there (or they think they can still help in other ways, or they know they'll be gone after and just ignore what that means), or...

You don't need the group to be as radicalized and cult of personality-ish as the Vale Fang are to get people ignoring this kind of thing. It being both of those only helps him further.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was an 'open' secret in Adam's Cell that, yes, he did groom that girl hanging around him, but are you gonna try and start shit and talk about it? Shit talk Adam? Not like Blake would ever substantiate those statements either, at least not when she was in the White Fang.
The comic also reveals that, while Kali and Ghira weren't aware of what he was doing to Blake, they did turn a blind eye to a lot of his crimes for fear of "ruining that poor boy's life" or "sabotaging the cause", so it's entirely possible that many of his subordinates, even the ones who cared about the cause, might also have looked the other way because of how bad it would be for the White Fang if it got out.

In the end, however, turning a blind eye did more damage to the cause in the long run than turning him in would have.
Being realistic, it was probably already a bit of an open secret. As far as we know, Adam's relationship with Blake wasn't a secret, and Blake is enough of a public figure that her birthday was almost certainly public knowledge. And even if that wasn't the case, it doesn't take much more than a functioning pair of eyeballs to think "that girl is awfully young," especially if their relationship started on the younger side of Blake's time in the fang. People can dismiss or ignore a lot if it doesn't match their pre-existing opinion, and Adam runs things like a cult, and is very good at convincing people to go along with stuff that no reasonable person would think is good.
At the very least, Adam probably kept it from Sienna, given that she tried to keep a good relationship with Blake's parents.

The DC comics did actually touch on that, as I mentioned in the comment I was writing, but yeah...
Just accusing Adam isn't the instant win button one would think it is, no matter how true the accusations are.
One thing that possibly could stop Adam (or at least make him serious trouble) at this point is getting in contact with Sienna Khan and telling her about him being part of a "blow up Beacon with Grimm" crazy plan, but that requires both means to get in contact with her and somehow getting her to believe you.
That requires getting in touch with someone who has very good reason to keep her location a secret while also being as hard to reach as possible.
Having Ghira & Kali be the ones to deliver the news could help legitimize it. And to be frank, I can't see Sienna dismissing out of hand "Hey it's me Blake Belladonna. I deserted from the Vale Branch because Adam has gone off the deep end and wants to let grimm into the city" I don't know how she'd react to Blake specifically but I can't imagine she wouldn't at least listen to the explanation first.
The issue with getting in touch with Ghira and Kali so they can tell Sienna is that they're out of range of the CCTS, which makes it easier for the Albains to control the flow of information.
After all, their own ambitions were independent from Adam's, and they seemed pretty insistent on making sure the Faunus of Menagerie trusted "Big Brother" White Fang.
I mean, Black was his right hand, and was influential in the White Fang herself, and especially with there being an exodus of members fleeing the Vale Cell (in this timeline) there may be enough stirrings to make a theoretical Blake condemnation actually land and have her challenge Adam's position.
We don't actually know how much authority Blake held when she was a member, just that she fought by Adam's side.
She may not have been more than an apprentice to him.
She would listen, but it likely would not be enough. This would likely result in her calling Adam and asking. and while there is some chance that he goes on a crazy kill all humans rant, he's probably still stable enough to make it sound like he's not doing that and Blake took some crazy ranting of a criminal they were vaguely allied with out of context or such. And she would probably believe him.
Another issue is that Adam is popular. Faunus both in and out of the White Fang love him.
It's entirely possible that she thinks that news reports on the Vale Chapter's actions are just propaganda, so Blake would need evidence to back her accusations up, and Sienna would need something to justify casting Adam out or declaring him a traitor, lest the White Fang turn on her instead.

I mean, for one, I don't think Khan's unaware that Adam's a dangerous element, as he's always shown an ambitious streak, plus being on the far side of 'kill the humans', but being an attack dog has its uses in a revolution, you can just outlive said use. For two, if she's been paying attention, she may have noticed how the Vale Cell's membership, not just her direct communications with its leadership, have been going quiet and 'closing ranks' (aka murdering anyone who's not onboard with plan genocide).
I mean, from the looks of Adam's Character Short, he had also pulled the wool over Sienna's eyes, as she seems to have been treating him as an apprentice.

She was aware his anger could be a problem, but seemed to have believed she could teach him to restrain and direct it.

Because, in the end, she believed he cared about the cause, and didn't realize how little it mattered to him until moments before Adam murdered her for power.

And the simple fact is that we don't know what was happening offscreen, because as High leader of the White Fang, Sienna would have duties that took her eyes off of Vale.
