Be the Shield
The right and wrong weapon.

That's what Crocea Mors felt like to Jaune. Somehow it felt too stiff and too small but at the same time it was His.

Idly he remembers a story of his grandpa about how the sword and shield have changed for each user.

He thought his grandpa meant forge adjustment. But standing on this broken tower starting down a crazed witch in a red dress.

Use Me.

he figured out he was wrong. He could feel his aura flowing into the sword and shield making them more malleable but something was holding the changes back.

what kind of weapon did he need?

He wasn't graceful or powerful. He didn't have skill or technique.

Then we go back to basics.

All he ever wanted was to help people with everything he had.

you don't desire a shield, you desire to BE a shield.

Well half the school is collapsed and the city is on fire.

Time to be a hero.
Time to be a hero.

And with a flash of aura Jaune slammed his sheathed sword into his chest where it broke apart into a flowing river of metal that wrapped around his flesh. Hardening into a new form for it's new user.

It was time to kill a witch and slay a dragon.

Renora: Hell of a Childhood
Let us suppose Ren and Nora worked out their feelings a bit earlier in canon and came to Beacon with...

- - -

After the newly formed teams of JNPR and RWBY defeat their respective giant Grimm... There's a loud, keening cry from a backpack Nora's been carrying all this time.

Nora: "Oh! One sec...!" She opened her pack and pulled out a baby she rocked "Aw, there there, sweetie, Mommy's here!"

Jaune: "... W-Wait... is that a baby?"

Nora: "Yup! Sure is! Good eyes, Jaune-Jaune!"

Pyrrha: "You-You brought a baby with you?!"

Weiss: "WHY DO YOU HAVE A BABY?!"

Ruby: "Did you steal a baby?! Why would you steal a baby?!"

Nora: "Pfft, of course I didn't steal a baby! This is my baby! His name is Thor!"

She begins to breastfeed him.

Weiss: "In-In public even!"

Blake: "H-How... Lewd..." blush

Jaune: "... You-You two-?!"

Ren: "What? We're legally married."

Nora: "We just keep the separate names so things don't get confused!"

Yang: "You... You have a baby-?"

Ren: "He's two months old."

Weiss: "TWO MONTHS?! You're back in action, fighting Grimm, after having a baby after TWO MONTHS?!"

Nora: "Sure am! What, like it's hard?"

Jaune: "I mean... You did bring a baby to fight Grimm..."

Ren: "I activated his Aura."

Nora: "Yeah! He slept through the whoooole fight! Who's my good little Thor? Who's my good little boy?"

Jaune: "I uh... Um... W-Wow... Uh..."

Nora: "I know he's young but I swear, Fearless Leader! He'll contribute!" After Thor is finished feeding, and she buttons her shirt back up, she holds Thor up to Jaune "See? He's a fearsome little warrior! Go on Thor, show Mommy's leader how badass you are!"

Thor yawns cutely and gurgles.

Nora: "... He's still learning! PLEASE! DON'T THROW US OUT ON THE COLD STREETS, JAUNE!"

Jaune: "I-I would never-!"

Nora: "YAY!" hugs him "RENNY! WE FOUND THOR'S FIRST UNCLE!"

Ren: nods "The title is not worn lightly."

Nora: "AND AUNTIES! Who wants to be an aunty?!"

Ruby: "ME! I DO!"

Pyrrha: "M-Me too!"

Nora: "HOORAY! I KNEW THIS SCHOOL WAS THE BEST!"

Are Ya Winning, Son? Flashback
While Teams RWBY and JNPR chill... Ruby appears in a flash of petals and lands in Jaune's lap.

Jaune: "OOF!"

Ruby: "JAUNE! GUESS WHAT?"

Jaune: "... The current writer on Xray and Vav has been chucked out a window?"

Ruby: "No, but even better!" She holds up a holofile "I found video of your parents' old team! Team Sanguine!"

Yang: "Sanguine?"

Weiss: "It means 'bloody'."

Yang: "Ooh! That sounds dramatic!"

Ruby: "It sounds like they were super cool, too! A wandering swordsman, an exiled prince archer, your scary combat medic mom, and a sorceress!"

Jaune: "Yeah, my mom, my dad, and my uncle Arjun and aunt Saia. I know Ruby, I've met them."

Ruby: "But don't you want to see video of them when they went to school at Beacon? They looked sooo cool!"

Jaune: sighs, smiles and pats Ruby on the head "Sure. Let's see them."

Pyrrha: "It would be nice to see what they were like. It's a wonderful connection you have, to have had parents who were Huntsmen."

Jaune: "Thanks Pyrrha."

Weiss: "I still can't believe two formidable people like that produced a idiot like you."

Nora: "Come on, play it! Let's see it!"

Ruby hits 'play'. Four teenagers appear on the holoscreen. A young blond man in blue and white rusty armor with a blue scarf is arguing with a dark skinned, dark haired man in lighter black armor with white pants and a purple cloak. A young blonde woman in green with white vest armor and glasses is trying to read on a bench, while a young dark skinned girl with rose red hair with a white and pink hood and matching robes sits with her and frets.

Nick: "You're just angry cause it's true!"

Arjun: "It is not true, you're just an idiot!"

Nick: "An idiot who is right is better than a genius who is wrong!"

Arjun: "Too bad for you, I'm a genius AND RIGHT!"

Nick: "Nuh uh!"

Arjun: "Yeah huh!"

Isabel: sighs "Can't you two knock it off for once? Or at least fight it out?"

Arjun: "Maybe I will! Put this idiot in his place!"

Saia: fretting "Please, Master Arjun, don't fight with Nick again! You'll get detention!"

Arjun: "It would be worth it to see this trash bow before my might!"

Nick: "Sounds pretty gay to me, dude! Wanting to see another man on his knees before you!"

Arjun: "You won't be so mouthy when I cut out your tongue!"

Nick: "You won't be mouthy at all if I cut off your head!"

The auras of the two teammates are flaring dangerously. Saia meeps.

Isabel: siiiiiigh "How about this? Whoever kills the most Grimm in the Emerald Forest in an hour wins."

Nick: "Works for me!"

Arjun: "HA! I can't wait to see your face when you lose, you pitiful loser!"

Nick: "You'll be the one losing, loser! Prince Loser!"

Arjun: "Moron!"

Nick: "Gay!"

Arjun: "Takes one to know one!"

The two storm off, still bickering. Isabel sighs and shakes her head.

Isabel: "Honestly, Arjun is such a pill. Does he have to act like a child?"

Saia: "H-Hey! That's not fair! Nick provoked him! He's the one who acts childish!"

Isabel: "He acts childish because he was raised in the wilds by a hermit! What's Prince Arjun's excuse?"

Saia: "Maybe Nick is just that much of a brute!"

Isabel: "He may be a brute but he deserves your respect!"

Saia: "Hmph! Prince Arjun would have gutted Nick if he was half the brute Nick was! An ugly, stupid brute! You're team leader, you're supposed to be better! Why don't you punish Nick instead of Arjun?"

Isabel: "Because they're both being pigheaded and you're only on Arjun's side because you're his servant. You ask me, he's even more of a brute than Nick! Nick never orders me to do his laundry!"

Saia: "I'm the prince's servant! I'm supposed to do his laundry! I do it gladly, for such a noble, wonderful, handsome-!"

Isabel: "Hypocritical, arrogant, stuck up jerk?"

Saia: "DON'T YOU BADMOUTH MY PRINCE! YOU JUST TREAT NICK NICER BECAUSE YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON HIM!"

Isabel: blush "I DO NOT! AND EVEN IF I DID, AT LEAST I HAVE BETTER TASTE THAN YOU!"

Saia: jumps Isabel "YOU BITCH!"

Isabel: "WHORE!"

Arjun and Nick return.

Nick: "Hey Isabel, we need someone to keep track of who kills how much-Eh?!"

Saia and Isabel are fighting furiously. There is hair pulling and biting as well as Dust powered energy blasts and super strength punches and kicks.

Nick: "Ohhhh... Shit... Um... What do we do?"

Arjun: confident smirk "As a man of culture, I know exactly what to do."

Nick: "Yeah?"

Arjun: "Yes."

Nick: "What?"

Arjun: "..." Flees

Nick: "HEY WAIT FOR ME!"

The recording ends.

Weiss: "... I take it back, I now know exactly how you came to be."

Jaune: "Gee, thanks Weiss."

Blake: "So... Were they yuri?"

Jaune: "That's my mom."

Blake: "... So were they yuri?"

Jaune: "BLAKE!"

Are Ya Winning, Son? Flashback 2
Yang: "Gotta say though, Saia... Well, she looked pretty scrappy over her man, but she was losing that catfight towards the end."

Jaune: "Yeah, Aunt Saia wasn't built to take or avoid hits like Mom, Dad, or Uncle Arjun."

Weiss: "So, what did she do? Aside from stroke Arjun's ego?"

Jaune: "Under the right conditions, she was the most dangerous."

Flashback: Team SANI is trapped in a town hall with a lot of other survivors. Outside, Grimm ravage the entire town, having broken through the walls. The team of Hunters-in-Training are exhausted and bloodied.

Isabel: "All right... From my last count... We got half of this surge. If we can get the other half, we shouldn't have to worry about any other Grimm for a while."

Nick: "Okay... How do we get the other half? I'm good to go on fighting!"

Arjun: "You have a broken arm and leg."

Nick: "Yeah, so? So do you!"

Isabel: "Not the time, you guys!" She looks over at Saia "Saia? You have any tricks that could help us out?"

Saia: "Um... One. It would consume all of my Aura but I'm pretty sure I could get most of them. Enough for you to handle."

Arjun: "What? Why didn't you mention this before?!"

Saia: cringes, bows "M-My Prince... I was told to never try to steal your spotlight! To never outshine you! I-I don't want you to... To think I'm getting ideas above my station...!"

Isabel and Nick glare at Arjun. He grimaces, works his jaw... And then talks more kindly.

Arjun: "Saia... You have been my faithful servant and... And even my friend."

Saia: gasps!

Arjun: "On this team? We are equals. My pride in this case is not worth more than my life, or the lives of the innocent. So please... What do you need?"

Saia: blush "... Dust Cartridges. Two Gravity, one Fire, one Lightning, and one Ice."

The cartridges are handed over. Saia nods. She summons a Sphere, and imbues it with Gravity Dust, turning it purple. She steps onto it, unsteadily.

Saia: "I-I need a hole in the roof-?"

Nick swings his blade and blows a hole in the roof with the pressure from the strike. Saia ascends up, up, up through the hole and high above the townhall. She summons four other spheres, and adds Dust to each one.

Saia: "R-Right... Fire heats up the Ice... Lightning accelerates it... And the other Gravity controls it...!"

She holds up her staff. The four Spheres combine in sequence, and burn brightly with multiple colors before turning a blinding white.

Saia: "And... FIRE!"

She unleashes a massive energy beam and spins around on her one remaining sphere, sweeping through all the Grimm she can see like she's wielding a giant sword. The beam cuts out... As does the Gravity Sphere. She goes limp, then falls.

Arjun: "SAIA!"

Isabel and Nick boost him up with their great strength, and he catches her. He lands outside on his unbroken foot, cradling her.

Arjun: "Saia? Are you all right?"

Saia: "Y-Yes... Are you... Pleased with me... My Prince?"

Arjun: "Very pleased, Saia. You have done very well." smiles

She smiles back faintly, as Isabel and Nick rush out to join them.

Nick: "Wow Saia! That was AMAZING! Can you teach me how to do that?!"

Saia: "Um... I could try...?"

Isabel: "Don't bother, he'd blow himself up."

Nick: "Would not!"

The mayor and the townspeople come out. The mayor cleared his throat.

Mayor: "Ahem... Team Sanguine. We thank you for killing all the Grimm!"

Isabel: "You're welcome! It was mostly-!"

Mayor: "BUT YOU BURNT DOWN THE ENTIRE TOWN!"

The team looks around and notices that, yes, all the houses in the village are on fire.

Saia: "Ummmm... Oops?"

Nick: "Hey! At least you're still alive to rebuild! And you can stay in the town hall!"

Nick goes up to the town hall and pats on of the pillars... Which cracks, and then collapses, bringing down much of the west wing of the building.

Nick: "... SERIOUSLY?! NOW?!"

End Flashback

Ruby: "Wow... How unlucky were they?"

Jaune: "This is probably why they were reassigned to missions that just required a lot of damage done... Away from villages or towns."

Weiss: "And even more is made clear..."

Random White Knight Errant Idea: "I'm Getting My Man"
An idea I had for White Knight Errant but couldn't quite get to work was this:

Like in the fic "Professor Arc", Jaune is arrested by Atlas and taken prisoner-Though this is a plot by Cinder. The problem is, this is when the VDF has been re-established, and the heads of the VDF do NOT like Ironwood and have connections to Jaune.

So Cinder's plot to punish Roman by getting his "nephew" arrested might escalate into war between Vale and Atlas. Basically she accidentally lucks out into causing chaos.

Winchester: "What the hell is this, General?!"

Ironwood: "I've received my orders to take the prisoner back to Atlas to stand trial."

Winchester: "He's our citizen, he is guaranteed a fair trial here-"

Ironwood: "Not if he's been implicated in terrorist acts against Atlasians or our assets. I am sorry, Councilman. I have my orders."

Winchester: "And what has been the outcome of every one of these trials?"

Ironwood: "... Guilty, and sentenced to execution. So far."

Isabel: "Jim! You can't do this-I will do anything I can, anything you want-!"

Ironwood: "It's not up to me... I'm sorry, Isabel. I have my orders."

Winchester: "..." Looks over at Silverhand "Jim?"

Silverhand: "... It's a hell of a way to start my career as an admiral. Alert the fleet, set condition one. Rob, get a strike team together on a Tigertail. Launch all gunships."

Ironwood: "What are you doing, Councilman?"

Winchester: "Have Mister Arc ready for pick up by our troops in twenty minutes."

Ironwood: "I can't hand him over, Councilman."

Winchester: "I'm not leaving him in your custody, Ironwood."

Ironwood: "... You'd risk war for the sake of one man?"

Winchester: "If I had to."

Ironwood: "You're making a mistake."

Winchester: "You made it first."

The communication is cut off.

Smiegel: "Admiral... Gunships are ready."

Silverhand: sucks in a deep breath "... Launch gunships. Get me a firing solution on the Atlasian fleet."

Smiegel: grimly "Aye sir."

Isabel: "R-Rufus..."

Winchester: "I've lived my life never making the easy decision over the right one..." He sucked in a deep breath, staring at the screens

Over on the Atlasian Flagship, Ironwood stares in disbelief at what he's seeing.

Officer: "They've launched gunships. The Jolly Roger is locking weapons onto us. Orders, sir?"

Ironwood stares intently out at the cloud of gunships heading toward them.

Winter: "They're bluffing... They have to be bluffing...!"

Ironwood: "..." lets out a sigh "Battlestations, all ships. Get me a firing solution on the Jolly Roger, launch gunships... And may the Gods have mercy on our souls."

The next morning, Ruby kept looking at the cafeteria doors, tapping her foot as she sat at Team RWBY's usual table. She noticed Pyrrha was looking at the doors a lot too.

"What's your deal, Rubes?" Nora asked cheerfully, as she feasted upon her pancake stack.

"Just uh... Just wondering where Jaune and Yang are," she said with a soft blush.

Blake coughed and buried her own red face in her book. Weiss's pale skin glowed red as she focused on her Scroll. Pyrrha too blushed heavily and looked away.

"Oh. They're probably still sleeping," Nora said brightly, "After having sex all night!"

Silence fell. Much staring ensued as Nora speared another stack of pancakes and shoved it into her mouth.

"I believe they're aware of that," Ren deadpanned.

"Boy howdy, we were too!" Nora went on, after swallowing, "They just kept going and going and going and going-!"

"NORA!" Weiss gasped. Nora blinked.

"What? We all know!"

"Some better than others," Weiss deadpanned, looking over at Blake. The cat Faunus sank behind her book a bit more.

"Really?" Nora asked cheerfully. "Ooh! The ears and stuff! Cool!"

Ruby looked back toward the doors. They opened... And Yang and Jaune entered.

Yang leaned against him, their hands joined together. A soft, warm smile was on her face. Jaune smiled with his arm tight around her waist. They moved together, slowly, but in synch.

An "aw" escaped Ruby's lips as she watched Jaune and Yang sit down on the bench, between both teams. Pyrrha handed over plates full of food, to which Jaune beamed gratefully.

"Thank you Pyrrha," he said.

"Yeah, thanks," Yang giggled. "We uh... We slept in, um..."

"Th-That's fine," Ruby said quickly. "It's okay to sleep in! Totally fine!"

"Nothing strange about that," Weiss contributed.

Yang and Jaune stared at them, and then at each other.

They turned to their food, still sharing sweet looks and smiles. It was honestly very heartwarming to Ruby. It was so very wholesome.

Nora took a deep breath.

"So... How hard did you fuck?!"

Jaune and Yang both began coughing at the same time.

"NORA!" Weiss shrieked, "DON'T ASK THAT!"

"N-Not in public!" Blake said quickly.

"Oh! So we can talk about it in private? COOL!" Nora cheered. "But come on! Give me the blow by blow!"

Jaune continued to choke. Pyrrha slapped his back, as Yang held him.

"Hell of a thing to ask us first thing in the morning," Yang deadpanned.

"But you will tell us, right? Right?" Nora asked eagerly.

Yang smirked.

"In detail," she grinned.

"YANG!" Jaune whisper-shrieked.

"What? I shouldn't brag about my new hubby?" Yang asked with a grin and a wink. Jaune nearly choked again.

"I... I would be fine hearing about it if you want to!" Pyrrha said quickly.

"GUYS!" Ruby shouted, blushing bright red, "L-Let them have breakfast!"

"Sure, sure," Yang said with a smirk and nod. Jaune sighed in relief. He nuzzled Yang affectionately, and she returned it. Once again, Ruby beamed.

Jaune turned to his eggs. Yang watched him.

"I like my eggs fertilized, how about you?"

Jaune spat out his eggs. He choked. Yang cackled, and patted his back this time.

"Y-YANG!"

"Heehee," Yang giggled. She nuzzled him again, and kissed his cheek. "Come on, you need to pull your weight, Jaune! They're called dad jokes, after all!"

"I think I'll wait until the kid is born," Jaune said, recovering with a small smile, "They're supposed to be used on your kids, not everyone."

"I'm not a dad!" Yang said cheerfully.

"I'm aware and thankful," Jaune chuckled. "Now cut it out! I'm eating breakfast!"

"Make me," Yang teased. Jaune looked her in the eyes and took hold of Yang's...

Ruby turned bright red.

"Ah," Yang managed softly, her cheeks turning red. Jaune stared intently into her eyes.

"Do you want me to?" Jaune murmured firmly.

Did his voice get deeper? Ruby wondered.

Yang flushed but leaned in closer to Jaune's face.

"Are you going to make me~?"

"Ahem."

Jaune and Yang pulled apart and began eating, as Glynda Goodwitch loomed behind them. Ruby squeaked in terror, as Weiss and Blake both tried to hide behind their books. Pyrrha stood perfectly still, while Ren and Nora kept eating.

"Do please mind your manners, Mister Arc, Miss Xiao-Long," Glynda stated calmly, "You may be engaged, but that is not a license for debauchery in public."

Nora stuck her hand up. Glynda raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, Miss Valkyrie?"

"Is it a license for debauchery in private?" Nora asked cheerfully.

Silence fell. Yang smirked.

"Is it, Professor G?" She asked.

Goodwitch stared intensely at the table. Ruby tried to fight the urge to look away or hide under it, but looking right into the intimidating gaze of the Huntress was a bit beyond her. She instead focused on Jaune and Yang.

Yang was smiling up at her, not quite as brazen but still fearless. Jaune seemed kind of... Done, as though the threat of Professor Goodwitch's glare had lost its power. Which she supposed she couldn't blame him for.

"Yes," Glynda said, sounding resigned. Yang grinned at Jaune.

"You heard her, hubby!"

"Boy did I," Jaune sighed. "We'll uh, we'll keep it under control, Professor. Promise."

"Good," Goodwitch stated firmly, "Try not to let your new status go to your heads. It can be... Exciting, but don't let your passion overrule your good sense."

"You must have a great marriage to offer such great advice, Professor!" Nora said cheerfully.

Glynda's pale eyebrow twitched a bit.

"I'm single."

"Oh." Nora shrugged. "Still good advice!"

"Quite," Goodwitch said icily.

"So, what other advice can you off-?"

Jaune looked at Ren. Ren nodded. Jaune scooped up some pancakes and shoved them into Nora's mouth.

"GLMPH!"

"Thank you so much, Professor, again," Jaune said quickly, "We appreciate everything."

"Especially the privacy!" Yang said cheerfully.

"Indeed," Glynda muttered, amused and exasperated, before she resumed her stern face and headed off. Ruby watched her go, and looked back to Yang.

"Seriously Yang?" Ruby whispered.

"Aw, come on," Yang said cheerfully, "She likes it when we joke with her!"

"I don't think she does," Weiss muttered, tapping her chest as though to make sure her heart was still beating. "Seriously Nora, are you trying to get us killed?!"

"Wouldn't expulsion be worse?" Nora asked. "That sounds like something you'd say!"

"Both would be bad!" Weiss hissed.

"Goodwitch isn't that bad!" Yang laughed.

"How are you so calm?!" Weiss demanded.

"I just keep on carrying on..." She patted her stomach. "Carrying."

"Ugh," Weiss groaned.

Jaune nuzzled her again.

"That the best you can do?" Jaune asked. "You gotta be... Kid-in-me!"

Yang snickered.

"Okay, that was pretty good."

"I had a lot of practice," Jaune grinned, "And I'll need a lot more before the baby is born."

"You'd better, time's gonna start contracting," Yang joked.

"Oh Gods there are two of them," Weiss moaned.

"Be thankful you're not her partner," Blake muttered.

"HEY!" Yang protested.

"I-I like Jaune's jokes," Pyrrha said quietly.

"Thanks Pyrrha," Jaune said cheerfully. He frowned. "Wait, are you just saying that to be nice?"

Pyrrha shook her head, smiling back warmly.

"No. And I never will."

Jaune flushed and smiled.

"Thanks," he said.

"Aww," Ruby cooed.

"And you call me a potential homewrecker," Weiss muttered.

Yang giggled, though she did make sure Jaune's arm was still tightly round her waist.

"Still jealous I see, Weiss-cream."

"I AM NOT JEALOUS!"

Jaune got a text on his scroll. He checked it and sighed.

"Well... Time to start my training at Field 7."

"I'll come with you," Yang said with a beam and a pat on his shoulder, "Come on, Stud, we got this. Don't be so down."

"Trying not to be," Jaune said.

"He can't be worse than me, right?" Pyrrha asked with a smile.

Jaune winced.

"Ooh, training with your dad?" Ruby asked eagerly. "Can we watch too?"

"Sure," Jaune sighed, "Might as well have my whole family watch me get knocked around."

Ruby gasped happily.

"That's right! We are family!"

"YAY!" Nora cheered, and hugged Blake. "FAMILY!"

"Let me go," Blake sighed.

"Never!"

They got up and headed for the doors. Yang and Jaune kept holding hands. It felt... Natural. Honestly, he liked touching her, and he liked that she enjoyed being touched by him. That she also liked to touch him and-

Woah. Down boy. Don't get horny now.

Outside though, the tall form of Cardin Winchester waited for them. Blake glared, Ruby and Weiss moved in front of Yang, Pyrrha frowned, and Nora began sizing up Cardin's knees.

"Ah... Can I talk with Jaune for a minute?" Cardin asked.

"Why?" Yang asked, eyes narrowed.

"It... It's private."

"Is it?" Ruby asked.

Jaune smiled at his fiancé/babymama, and his friends, and shook his head.

"It's fine guys," Jaune said, "I won't be long. I'll see you at the field."

Yang frowned deeply. Jaune leaned in to press his forehead to hers and kissed her lips.

"He's not scary to me anymore. Not by a long shot," he whispered. Yang beamed.

"He'd better not be," she stated. Jaune turned and nodded to Pyrrha. She relaxed, just a little.

"Come on, come on, we'll get to see Mister Arc's fighting style!" Ruby said cheerfully. She did, however, glare at Cardin.

"You hurt him, I'll skin you alive," Ruby growled. "He's my brother-in-law now!"

Cardin winced and held his hands up.

"I won't! I won't! I swear!"

"You'd better," Pyrrha stated, polite but firm. The group left, Ren leading Nora away but staring intently at Cardin before they vanished behind some trees nearby. Jaune turned back to look at his former bully, who fidgeted. He sighed.

"You've got a minute, Cardin. Say what you have to say," he stated.

Cardin stared and then cleared his throat.

"I... I'm sorry. I was wrong."

Jaune blinked.

"Huh?"

"I bullied you because you were weak. I didn't think you belonged," he admitted, "And you, well... You saved my life. When I was a jackass. You've..." He sighed. "I'm sorry for that."

"Oh... Well... Thanks," Jaune said.

"Also? You took responsibility like a man," Cardin said with a nod, "After knocking up a girl? Standing by her, proposing to her, standing up to her parents? That's... I respect that. Good on you."

Jaune managed a small smile and nodded back to Cardin.

"Thanks."

Cardin flushed.

"Also... Damn, man. Hooking up with Xiao-Long? That is incredible." He held up his fist.

Jaune frowned.

"Er..."

"Dude, you cannot deny me the fist bump."

"I mean, she is my baby mama and fiancé," Jaune said quietly. "I'm not sure I should-"

"FIST BUMP HIM, JAUNE!" Yang shouted from behind the trees. "OR AM I NOT WORTH IT?!"

Cardin and Jaune stared at the trees for a moment.

"They stayed for you?" Cardin asked.

"Of course they did," Jaune said, with fond exasperation.

Cardin sniffled. Jaune blinked.

"Dude, are you crying?"

"NO!" Cardin growled. "Though if I was, they'd be manly tears!"

"Riiight," Jaune drawled with a nod. He held up his fist and bumped his to Cardin. The tall redhead grinned and gave a thumbs up.

"Seriously though Jaune: Nice."

"Yeah, thanks," Jaune managed.

"You uh... You think you could give me some pointers with girls?" Cardin asked.

Jaune blinked. He blinked again.

"Like who? Velvet Scarlatina?" He deadpanned.

Cardin flushed. Jaune waited for the punchline.

And waited.

And kept waiting.

"Oh Gods, you're serious?!"

"You got with Yang Xiao-Long, dude!" Cardin cried. "Is anything impossible for you?!"

"Yes! Many things!"

"Please?" Cardin asked.

Jaune sighed.

"All I can say is sincerity, kindness, and alcohol helped. A lot."

Cardin hummed, and seemed to be thinking this over seriously.

"Thanks. I'll give it a shot."

"Good luck," Jaune managed, as Cardin headed off. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose as he set off after his friends.

He caught up with them behind the trees. He was gratified to see most of them looked as weirded out as he did.

"Cardin... Likes Velvet?" Blake asked in disbelief. "But... He's racist! He hates Faunus!"

"How does that even work?!" Ruby cried.

"On the other hand," Nora pointed out, "Velvet is super hot. Like, sooo hot!"

"I really can't disagree," Ren said.

"I guess it's like... Pulling on a girl's pigtails?" Pyrrha suggested.

"But-But he's racist!" Blake protested again.

"And yet, hot bunny girl," Nora said.

"You mean he's-he's fetishizing her!" Blake cried. "Seeing her as nothing but a sex object for his own fantasies! YES! That makes sense!"

Pyrrha looked through the trees with raised eyebrows.

"He's getting flowers," Pyrrha observed.

"RACIST FLOWERS!" Blake cried.

Yang sighed heavily.

"Let's just go watch my husbando get knocked out by his dad," Yang said, reclaiming Jaune's arm, "Before the day gets any weirder."

"Thank you," Jaune said gratefully.

"Hey, I need to look after my meal ticket, right?" Yang asked with a wink, "This won't be a bun-dle of fun without you!"

"URGGGGHHH," Weiss moaned.

Blake's Fetish
At this point I'm almost positive it's a fetish thing for her.

That might be an amusing bit.

Weiss: "You're the actual racist, Blake!"

Blake: "How?!"

Weiss: "You keep going on and on about how Faunus should behave, you blame humans for every bad thing they do like they don't have any agency, and you're upset when I flirt with Sun."

Blake: "You've been flirting with Sun?!"

Weiss: smiiirrrrk "Why yes, I have. I'm not blind, Blake. Those abs are amazing."

Blake: "Y-You can't date him! You're the Schnee heiress-!"

Weiss: "I can't date a Faunus? Humans can't date Faunus? Isn't that a bit racist?"

Blake: "N-NO! You're just flirting with him to-to piss off your dad!"

Weiss: "Or maybe I think he's hot. How is that racist?"

Blake: "GRAH!"

Weiss: "Tell you what, Blake. I'll consider you NOT racist... If you date a human."

Blake: "Me? Date a human? I-I have never thought of that once!"

Weiss: "Oh? What a surprise. Me, the SDC Heiress, being more progressive and open minded than the princess of Menagerie! The irony is so sweet I'm gonna get fat."

Blake: "GAH! Fine! I'll go date a human!"

Weiss: "Oh, this ought to be good."

Later... Jaune enters his dormroom. Blake is waiting for him.

Jaune: "Uh... Hey Blake. What's up?"

Blake: "Jaune. I don't want Weiss to think I'm racist."

Jaune: "... Okay?"

Blake: "So, we should date."

Jaune: "... Okay?"

Blake: "So uh... Just-Just so we're clear! I-I'm not going to wear a collar! Or-Or be your cute little kitty! Or call you 'Master'! Those are hard limits and I absolutely do NOT want you to do that!"

Jaune: "... Okay."

Blake: "Wait, you won't?!"

Jaune: "Er... No? You said you didn't want me to do that? So I won't."

Blake: "Not even if you think I really, really want to?!"

Jaune: "Huh?"

Blake: "L-Like if you think I'm putting up a tough front and-and I secretly want you to take me and make me into your Faunus pleasure slave..." rubbing her thighs together "And treat me like your personal property, your naughty pet, only good for having your half-human children? You don't think I-I really want that... Right?"

Jaune: "... I... Don't think that?"

Blake: "GOOD! BECAUSE I DON'T!"

Jaune's Childhood Friends: The Forgotten Bride
Eve Taurus growled as she looked over the recon photos Ilia had gotten her of Beacon Academy. That damn traitor, Blake Belladonna, had joined the school. Clearly she'd turned over intel on the White Fang in exchange for safety. That damn little bitch. After everything Eve had done for her, she went off to become the pet of these filthy humans...?!

"That damn little..." Eve swore. Ilia stood nearby awkwardly as the tall, powerful Faunus woman raged. Being around her in this state was always hazardous to one's nerves, if not your health...

Then... Eve paused. She stared intently at one picture in particular.

"Ilia! Who... Who is that?" She gasped.

Ilia cautiously looked over her leader's shoulder without appearing to be terrified. It was difficult but she'd managed it. She frowned as she checked the blond Eve's finger rested on.

"Ah... Jaune Arc, my lady," Ilia reported. "He's a farm boy out of Radian, son of a human hero lineage..."

Ilia trailed off. She looked at her leader's expression. She expected anger, disgust... But not... Shy blushing?!

"He... Do you have any other pictures of him?" Eve asked quietly. Ilia blinked rapidly, but obeyed out of reflex. Several images of Jaune Arc appeared: Him eating with Blake, training, even a few of him just out of the shower while she was gathering intel on Pyrrha Nikos.

"Is he.... A priority target, My Lady?" Ilia asked.

Eve stared dreamily at the pictures of Jaune shirtless. Ilia blinked again.

"Er, My Lady?"

"Hm? Oh! Uh, yes!" Eve said quickly, clearing her throat. "Priority target to-to capture. Definitely."

Ilia stared.

"Capture, my lady?"

"Unharmed! Intact!" Eve ordered. Ilia blinked rapidly.

"Er... Um... M-May I ask why, my lady?"

"No," Eve growled.

Ilia nodded rapidly.

"Of-of course, My Lady!"

"Go! Deliver my orders to the others! Jaune Arc is to be captured and brought to me alive," she growled. "UNHARMED!"

"Oh! S-So you can do the harming yourself?" Ilia guessed. That... That was the sanest response, right?"

Eve studied the photos again. Her frown deepened as she saw the many girls who seemed to get close to the boy.

"On second thought," Eve stated, "Enact Protocol 'G'."

Ilia gasped.

"You-You want us to infiltrate Beacon?!"

"Leonhart can get that old fool Ghira's request for a Menagerie team through at last," Eve snorted.

"Um, shouldn't we inform Cinder-?"

"She'll find out when we arrive. The human doesn't dictate to us," Eve hissed. "I shall lead the team."

Ilia gasped.

"A-Are you sure that's wise?! What about Blake?!"

"I'll deal with her personally," Eve growled.

Ilia nodded rapidly.

"As... As you wish, just... Please... Don't be too... Brutal? She was our friend once-"

"And now," Eve growled, "She is my rival."

Ilia blinked.

"Rival?"

"Carry out my orders!" Eve snarled, and Ilia fled for her very life!

- - -

Once the door was closed, a change came over Eve Taurus. From a fearsome, bloodthirsty revolutionary... To a fawning, blushing young woman.

"Oh Jaune... I'm so sorry... I thought you were lost to me," Eve sighed, stroking the pictures, "But now... Now I must act. I must take you for my own now... Before those whores do it first!"

She pulled out a locket from between her very impressive breasts, and opened it up. Within, she sighed happily at the photo within: Of herself and Jaune, when they were young children. She hugged it to her chest.

"And then, you can fulfill your promise... To marry me!"

Jaune: "Eve?!"

Eve: "JAUNE!"

Jaune: "Oh wow! It's been forever! You look absolutely beautiful!"

Pyrrha: tense smile "Jaune... You haven't introduced me to your friend."

Jaune: "Oh yeah! This is Eve! She was a friend of mine in Radian for a while-"

Eve: "And I'm his betrothed."

Jaune: "Huh?!"

Pyrrha: "WHAT?!"

Ruby: "HUH?!"

Blake: "WHAT?!"

Eve: snorts "You had your chance, cat whore!"

Jaune: "Huh?"

Eve: "Nothing you need worry about, darling~!"

A Huntsmen's Duty
Eve: "BLAKE! We can't let these filthy humans win! LEND ME YOUR WOMB!"

A Huntsmen's Duty
Ironwood - " This is madness, Ozpin! Negotiating with the White Fang?!?!"

Ozpin - "What would you have me do, James? Three quarters of the Maidens are missing, injured, or crippled by old age. Our enemies surround us, and Salem is more active than she has ever been since the Great War. Huntsmen are bound to duty, and making sacrifices is part of that duty."

Ironwood - "He's a student! One of your students! And you're proposing to force him into a shotgun marriage to Eve "Sword of the Faunus" Taurus?!?!"

*Door Suddenly Opens, and Eve Taurus enters*
Eve - "I am indeed the sword of the Faunus, General Ironwood, and I shall also be Jaune Arc's sheath by the time these marriage negotiations are over."

Winter Schnee - "I don't know what the laws are in Menagerie, Miss Taurus, but a legal marriage in Vale requires two parties to unanimously consent, something which Mr. Arc has not done!"

Eve - "Jaune agreed to marry me when we were children, and I've already obtained his Mother's personal approval...."

*Earlier*

Eve - "Grandbabies."

Isabel - "Grandbabies!"

The Inevitable Outcome of a Jaune Harem
In a timeline where Pyrrha didn't die and Cinder still got wrecked...

Jaune: "Hey, Cinder? Tell your boss that we need about a year before we're ready to have a showdown."

Cinder: "What? You got something better to do?"

Jaune: "Yes. All female members of Team RWBY and JNPR are pregnant."

Cinder: "Wait what?! How?!"

Jaune: "Well, uh... I - we - have been busy."

Cinder: "SERIOUSLY?!"

Jaune: "Hey, after you wrecked Vale, we all kind of went into survival mode and Nora wasn't gonna share, so... Yeah.

Cinder: "YOU KNOCKED UP FIVE WOMEN?!"

Jaune: "Well, six, Neo too. Look, we know you have a massive revenge boner for Ruby and Pyrrha, and we certainly want to kill you back. So I promise we'll give you a real fight when we've all had the babies."

Cinder: "Why the hell shouldn't I just come and kill you all now that you're pregnant and helpless, huh?!"

Jaune: "Because it's beneath you. It wouldn't prove you were stronger or better than us."

Cinder: "... You know, I know you're playing me... But you're right. Fine! And congratulations."

Jaune: "Thanks! Still can't wait to murder you but it is appreciated."

Dragonslayer: The Redo
Jaune's morning had started in such a mundane way. He had recovered from a rough training session with Pyrrha last night. He had actually finished all of his homework. Weiss had actually helped him a little with tutoring, so she wasn't completely repulsed by him anymore.

Everything seemed pretty normal as he tore into his breakfast with the rest of his team, and team RWBY nearby. Well, most of it. Yang had been late getting up. Still, this wasn't too unusual and so Jaune hadn't suspected anything would be amiss.

Ah, the naivete of youth.

Yang slammed open the doors, looking like she'd seen Hell and it was two steps behind her. She dashed over to Ruby, and hugged her little half-sister tightly.

"RUBY! Ruby, y-you're okay!"

"Ummm... Y-Yeah, Yang? I-I'm fine?" Ruby managed, patting Yang on the back in confusion and concern. "Are you okay-?"

Yang kissed the top of her head, and sniffled.

"I love you so much," she murmured.

Ruby went bright red.

"U-Um, Yang, I uh... I do...?"

Blake frowned, lowering her book.

"Yang, is something wrong-?"

Yang's fist shot out and found its way into Blake's jaw. The cat faunus went down, and stared up at Yang in shock. Yang growled down at her, her eyes burning bright red.

"YANG!" Ruby gasped. "What was that for?!"

Yang took a few deep breaths, calming herself. She glared at Blake, as though seeing someone else in her place.

"Just take that as a warning," Yang growled at her partner, "If you think of running out on us again. Got it?"

She then held out her hand. The hurt and confused Blake stared at her hand. Yang took a deep breath, and shook her head.

"I can forgive it... But don't push me, Blake. I don't want to lose a friend," she stated.

Blake slowly nodded, and took Yang's hand. She still looked confused, but she accepted it as her Aura healed her cheek. Once she was back on her bench, Yang then turned to Pyrrha. She reached out, and hugged the surprised Pyrrha.

"Pyrrha," Yang murmured, "I won't let it happen this time. I promise."

"I uh... Sure?" Pyrrha said, awkwardly patting Yang with a confused smile and a bit of a blush.

"And... And I'm sorry," Yang said quietly.

Pyrrha blinked.

"For what?"

Yang pulled back. She turned her eyes onto Jaune.

Jaune held back a gulp. Yang had been utterly unpredictable-Even more than usual. She'd sobbed over her sister, punched her partner, and hugged Pyrrha. What the hell was she going to do to him?!

"Jaune," Yang murmured.

"Yang," Jaune said, fighting to keep his voice steady, "If I've done something wrong, or-or I can help you, I will-"

Yang approached him, held out her arms, and wrapped them around his shoulders. She pushed her lips against his. The warmth of the kiss turned his brain to jelly and sent electricity sparking through his nervous system!

Is she... Is that her tongue? Oh Gods, it's her tongue!

He vaguely heard Weiss, Ruby and Pyrrha gasp in shock. Nora cheered.

Yang broke the kiss, leaving them both panting hard. Yang licked her lips.

"Do... Do you want to go on a date? With me? This Friday?" Yang asked. She was abruptly vulnerable, looking... Scared. Her mood swings were terrifying, but he couldn't help see a bit of his sisters in her.

Not a lot though, that would be weird.

Jaune managed a slow nod. He really couldn't come up with a reason to say no.

"S-Sure?"

Yang beamed, and hugged him tightly.

"I'm glad," she said softly, "I... I won't lose you either. Not again."

This is insane, Jaune thought, Totally insane.

Yet he still hugged her back tightly. The relief and sorrow in her voice was too genuine to ignore. His heart told him to hold her and offer comfort.

"Ummm... No problem?"

Yeah, again, this day had started so normally...

Jaune Had Game
It'd be funny if beacon found out Jaune actually did have game.

Yang: I still don't know how you thought you'd get Weiss to date you with those bad pick up lines.

Jaune: look it's been a while since I've been on a date ok? I'm rusty.

Weiss: oh please who would fall for those kinds of pick up lines?

Jaune: Briar Branwen is a lovely girl.

Yang/Ruby/velvet: you dated our cousin?!

*Pause*

Yang/Ruby/velvet: we're related?!

Jaune: sweet girl, likes the raunchiest jokes in the world.

Velvet: yeah that's briar. How'd you two meet?

Jaune: we were both on the rebound. Her boyfriend Peter cotton ran off and mine got arrested for starting a fight in a crepe kingdom at 3 in the morning.

Weiss: who starts a fight at a diner at 3 in the morning?

*Everyone looks at Weiss whit slight pity over how sheltered she is*

Jaune: Brunhilde does.

Nora: Ren I'm feeling weird and I don't know why.

Ren: Don't think about it.

Nora: I'm thinking about it!

*Ren desperately trying to move things along*

Ren: what caused the fight?

Jaune:....well.

Weiss: don't tell me. You ran into a ex.*such sarcasm*

Jaune: less a ex and more a unwanted stalker. There are many flavors of crazy and Giselle Gele is all of them.

*Weiss looks like her world is falling apart*

*Pyrrha looks ready to stab someone"

*Jaune is oblivious*

Grandmother
Out in the boonies, Salem is treated like Baba Yaga - powerful, capricious and as capable of granting great boons as she is of inflicting horrific curses. It just so happens that Jaune's village follows the old ways, and when Salem arrives at the Vytal festival, to Ozpin's horror, Jaune immediately takes over honoring 'Grandmother' before someone accidentally pisses her off and ends up in the Hut.

Ozpin: *choking on his own spit* "SA-"
Jaune: *dragging Ozpin down and whispering* "Sir, first rule of living out in the boonies: Don't anger Grandmother! You never know if she's listening in!"
Ozpin: "GRA-"
Jaune: "Grandmother, would you walk with me and see the sights?"
Salem: *inwardly laughing like a loon* "Come then, child."

<later>

Qrow: "Wait, is that why the tribe always avoids that particular stretch of North Vale? Huh."
Ozpin: *incoherent screaming*

Dragonslayer: In the Family Way 10

The training field was covered in scorch marks, rubble, and debris. Which was pretty normal, honestly. At some point, Professor Goodwitch had only committed to cleaning it up every month or so.

It was here that Nick and Isabel Arc were waiting, next to a huge black and silver motorcycle that left Yang drooling. Nick was looking through the cargo skirts, checking through a large collection of very large swords, while Isabel was checking through a veritable pallet of medical supplies. Both looked up, all smiles when Jaune and his friends arrived.

"Wow, you weren't kidding," Yang gushed, "A Remus 205!"

"With weapon cargo skirts?!" Ruby cried happily.

Nick grinned.

"Yup! Feel free to look her over, Ruby! Just don't modify it too much without my say so!"

"No promises!" Ruby chirped, and immediately began looking the motorcycle over. Nick hummed.

"Let's see... Let's go with a starter weapon... Ah! Here it is."

He pulled out a very hefty broad sword, almost as tall as Nick was. He grinned at Jaune.

"Ready for training, son?"

"Just a second," Jaune said, as he summoned his rocket locker. Yang's eyes went from the very large sword her future father-in-law was wielding, and her fiance several times.

Her eyes focused almost exclusively on Jaune when the locker arrived and he began dressing in his armor.

"Er..." She walked up to his side. "So... You're sure about this?"

"Yup," Jaune said grimly, nodding as he pulled out his sword and shield. "Gotta get stronger."

"You're already training with Pyrrha, the Invincible Girl," Yang pointed out with a nervous laugh. Jaune nodded.

"Yup... But my dad's gonna teach me something I'm lacking: Pure, raw power."

"Isn't Nora working on that with you?" Yang pressed. Jaune nodded.

"Yup."

"And... So this is totally necessary?"

She was nervous. Why was she so damn nervous?

"Yup," Jaune said. "It'll be fine. Don't worry."

"I'm not," Yang huffed, "But if you tire yourself out too much, you'll be no use to me. Your needy and helpless fiance!"

"Helpless is not the first word I would use," Jaune deadpanned.

"And needy?"

"No comment," he said with a smile. He leaned in to kiss her cheek. "Relax."

"S-Sure," Yang managed. Jaune headed out onto the training field. Yang walked over to where Isabel was looking over the medical supplies.

"S-So... This is just for show, r-right?" Yang asked with a nervous smile, "You're just trying to push your son into giving up... R-Right?"

Isabel sighed, and sat down on a marble block.

"You don't know anything about our family, do you?" Isabel asked dryly.

Yang winced as Nick and Jaune walked out further into the field, before turning to face one another.

"I uh... I didn't pay as much attention as I should have, no," she admitted.

"Everyone sit down," Isabel sighed, "And stay behind the motorcycle. There's a hardlight Dust shield installed just in case."

"What? Why?" Pyrrha asked, as pale as Yang imagined herself to be.

"You'll see," Isabel groused, crossing her arms under her (admittedly impressive) chest and glaring at her husband and son.

"Okay!" Nick shouted. "We will be starting with the very basics of the Ancient Arc Sword Style! Taught to me by your great-grandmother Arturia!"

"Uh... Yeah Dad, I-I know," Jaune said.

"So it is very important," Nick shouted again, "For you to focus only on the basics! Because this is how she taught me, and let me into the family!"

Isabel groaned and covered her eyes.

"Uh, yes Dad, I-I know that too. You told me. Many times," Jaune went on.

"Good!" Nick said cheerfully. "So, Lesson One Is...!"

His sword burned bright blue-green with Aura, before he hefted it up... And swung it down like he was chopping wood.

"DODGE!"

"SHIIIIIT!" Jaune screamed, barely leaping out of the way of the Aura blast. It flew off, kicking up dirt and grass in its wake, before it hit one of the many ancient trees surrounding the training ground and blew it to pieces with a massive boom!

Ruby, Pyrrha, Nora, Blake, Weiss, and Yang's jaws all dropped, practically to the grass. Ren's eyebrows rose to the point that they nearly leaped off his forehead.

"I... Wha...?" Yang tried.

"DODDDDDDGE!"

"Nicholas Arc is one of the few Hunters in the last generation known to have killed a Grimm Hydra," Isabel sighed, "A beast as big as a Grimm Goliath but far more dangerous and harder to kill. Granted, he had help from our team and me, but he did deliver the killing blow."

A beat.

"When he was eighteen."

"Holy crap," Ruby wheezed.

"And this is him starting off easy?!" Weiss cried.

"DODDDDDGE!"

"GYAAAAAHHHH!"

Jaune didn't quite make the dodge that time, and was blasted through a marble pillar. Yang, Pyrrha, and Ruby were almost immediately on their feet.

"JAUNE!" Yang shouted.

Jaune slowly peeked up from the rubble pile he'd been slammed into. He staggered to his feet and gave his fiance and friends a thumbs up.

"I'M OKAY!" He shouted.

"YOU SURE SON?" Nick shouted.

"YEAH, I'M GOOD!" Jaune shouted.

Nick grinned, his beard shining in the sunlight.

"GREAT! NOW DODDGGGGGGGE!"

"AAAUUUGGGGHHHH!"

Isabel rubbed her temples in irritation.

"This... He's messing with us, r-right?" Weiss tried urgently. "This-This can't be a real training regimen!"

"Can it?" Yang asked faintly, as Ruby held her hand. Whether it was to support her or for her support, she didn't know.

"Every Arc who wanted to be a Hunter went through it with Great-Grandma Arturia," Isabel said firmly, her eyes haunted. "Every. Single. One."

"I can see why you stopped," Blake said dryly.

"DODDDDDDGE!"

Arc Family Training
Jaune: "Wait... Mom, you went through the same training?"

Isabel: "Yup!"

Jaune: "With Great-Grandma Arturia?! Seriously?!"

Isabel: "Well it was a little different for me..."

Flashback to the past!

Isabel: "Grandma, I'm gonna be a doctor-"

Arturia: "And you're starting out as a combat medic! You think Grimm are going to see the red cross on your armor and go 'Oh gee, I better not eat her! I might violate some treaty that Grimm didn't sign because Grimm don't sign treaties!'"

Isabel: "... Fair enough. But I can already enhance my strength and endurance to superhuman levels-!"

Arturia: "Know how to throw a punch?"

Isabel: "Er... Sort of-?"

Arturia: "Oh good. 'Sort of'. That will keep you alive. 'Sort of', that's a ringing endorsement for survival!"

Shirou: "Aren't you being a little hard on her, Arturia-?"

Arturia: "If she's discouraged by harsh language and sarcasm, then she has no place on the battlefield! Well Isabel? Still want to do this?"

Isabel: "Yes Grandma!"

Arturia: "All right! Since you're already fairly tough, we'll start you off-"

Isabel: "Let me guess, Level 2?"

Arturia: "Four." SWORD BEAM!

Isabel: "GYAAAAAHHHHH!" CRASH!

Arturia: "For interrupting me! That's very rude, young lady!"

The Present

Isabel: "See? Your father is definitely going easy on you."

Jaune: "Well, wait, then why did she go easy on Dad?"

Nick: proudly "I was polite!"

Isabel: sighs "Yes, he was."

Kali and Blake took their breakfast after Ghira and Jaune had left for training and work. Kali had begged off due to needing to speak with Blake about "female matters", and Ghira had happily acquiesced. It always worked.

She studied her daughter. She had a soft, warm smile on her face, and blushed when she looked up at her mother.

"So," Kali said, "How did it go?"

"Ummm..." Blake smiled. "W-Well... We cuddled. A-A lot. All night."

"Mmhmmm...?" Kali prompted. "And...?"

Blake flushed... And then looked down with a sigh.

"And he scratched... Behind my ears?"

"Ooh!" Kali giggled. "Wonderful! And...?"

"And uh... Well..."

Kali stared at her daughter. She sniffed her significantly, and then sighed.

"Blake... You didn't seal the deal!"

Blake turned bright red.

"M-Mom! I-I just..." She bowed her head. "He... I-I mean..."

"He didn't reject you, did he?" Kali demanded.

"N-No! I mean, sort of," Blake sighed, "He... He didn't want it to just be... He wanted it to be about true feelings. N-Not just... Me trying to make up for things. He told me I didn't have to do that."

Kali sighed and buried her face in her palms.

"Oh Gods, he's one of those," she groaned.

"A... A romantic, right?" Blake asked. Kali nodded.

"A good, kind, romantic and noble young man," she said. "Which is both good... And bad. Good in that I can trust him to do the right thing when he knocks you up-"

"When?!" Blake squeaked. Kali scowled.

"What? So I want grandkids, is that a crime? Especially with such a heroic boy!"

"A-A heroic-?" Blake stammered.

Kali held up some newspapers from Vale. The front pages all had images of Jaune and her friends in action, fighting Grimm, helping people... Doing so much for everyone. Her eyes widened.

"Very much so," Kali said, "I had my agents scouring intelligence on this young man all last week. I'm quite good at reading people, but it never hurts to be thorough-Especially if he might become my son-in-law."

"I..." Blake felt the hard guilt stab into her heart as she looked the papers over.

While I've been here recovering... They've been... And the White Fang...!

Blake winced. Kali paused, softened her gaze, and put a hand over hers.

"I'm not going to force you to do anything, or guilt you into it. You have more than enough of that on your shoulders, Blake."

"I..."

"Let's make this simple," Kali said, "Do you like him?"

Blake slowly nodded.

"I... I do," she said softly, "He's... I really do."

"Then you both deserve some happiness," Kali said gently. "You just have to get past his chivalry and make it clear you want him for him. You do want him for that, right?"

Blake slowly nodded again.

"I do," she murmured, a soft blush on her cheeks.

Kali beamed.

"Wonderful! In that case, we'll just have to escalate to the method that I used to get your father's attention!"

Blake blinked.

"Eh?"

"Don't worry, it'll work for sure!" Kali said cheerfully. "And then you'll make me some grandkids!"

"Grandkids?!" Blake squeaked. "I-I can't do that! Not now! I-I have to get back into shape! I need to go help my friends and help save the world!"

Kali sighed.

"Weren't you starting slow?"

"Having grandchildren isn't slow, Mom!"

"It was for me!"

"MOM!"

The day's training was exhausting, even for Jaune. Ghira had put him up against thirty guards all at once, and then Ghira himself! The fights had been long and difficult. Against the guards, Jaune had used their numbers against them and powered on through.

Ghira? He was a LOT harder. He had range, unlike Jaune. Sure, he had his sword air slashes, but those couldn't go very far. And the powerful panther Faunus' Claw strikes were devastating. First year him would have been torn to shreds by his hits.

That said, he had learned a lot. After every bout, Ghira pointed out issues and openings he had, as well as ways to fix them. He kept doing better, little by little, with every fight.

By the end, he was exhausted but smiling. And Ghira was the same, as he patted him on the back happily on the way back to the mansion.

"You did great, Jaune!"

"Thanks sir!" Jaune said gratefully. Saber Rodentia followed at a respectful distance, his keen eyes scanning around everywhere as they walked through the front gates.

"What did you think, Saber?" Ghira asked.

"He's... All right," Saber managed. Ghira chuckled.

"Take that as a huge compliment, Jaune."

"Oh, uh, thank you, Captain Rodentia," Jaune said with a small smile. Saber snorted.

"You have a long way to go."

"I know," Jaune nodded.

Ghira sighed as he checked his Scroll. A small smirk appeared on his face.

"Hey Jaune? Why don't you take a bath first? I need to see to some things with Saber," he said. "Go on ahead!"

"Huh? Oh, sure sir," Jaune said with a nod. He removed his boots and headed in.

"Hey Jaune!" Kali greeted happily from the office as he passed by, "Good day?"

"Pretty good, ma'am!" Jaune said cheerfully. He waved and smiled as he headed on.

He made it to the baths. They were Fujin style, where you cleaned off in a warm wooden chamber first, before you entered the main baths. They were very plush. It wasn't a surprise, really, that they would spring for this. He pulled off his bunny ears and his clothes, before he scrubbed himself clean and went on in with a towel.

Jaune slid into the hot water bath with a happy sigh as his muscles relaxed. It was so wonderful...

Geez... What am I doing? Jaune thought, his guilt rising hard, I'm playing house and training with these nice people... And my friends are fighting for their lives...

He shut his eyes tightly.

I've got to complete the mission... I've got to talk to Blake, convince her to come or help or... Or something..

The door to the baths opened.

"Hello Jaune," said Blake.

Jaune turned and smiled, the warmth of the bath making him forget briefly about their context.

"Hey Blaaaaaaaaake?!"

Blake stood there in nothing but a towel, with a soft smile on her face.

"Would you like me to wash your back?"

Jaune gulped.

Oh boy...

Knightshade: Aftermath
"Would you like me to wash your back?"

Jaune gulped.

Oh boy...

A lemon is on the way for this...

*Months later*

Blake: "I'm sorry, Yang. I've wronged you and team RWBY."

Yang: "Damn right."

Blake: "Jaune helped me see the error of my ways... No, he proved it!"

Yang: "Way to go, Vomit Boy!"

Blake: "While you were struggling, I was having my back blown out by a penis longer than my forearm."

Yang: "Serves you...wait, what?"

Blake: "While you and the team were stuck with gruel and track rations, I was nothing more than a faunus throatpussy chugging down enough ultra-thick, super-yummy Arc nut to knock all four of us up with triplets. Daily. Straight from the balls."

Yang: *tugging at her collar* "I, uh, um..."

Blake: *lips quivering* "While you were being drilled without mercy, I was being drilled so hard I thought I was a cow faunus, and it just made Jaune go even harder."

Yang: *looking down at her own boobs* "Eeee..."

Blake: *breathing hard* "While you were training your huntress skills to exhaustion, I was training my huntress skills to be a... a... houri! I still get ready to dance when Jaune snaps his fingers!"

Yang: *weakly* "Yeah, um, what... what else does he do?"

Blake: "The point is, I've been a bad kitty. Very bad. But Jaune's punishing me." *grabs Yang's hands* "I... I can't ask you...beg you...to forgive me, Yang! But until that day I'll take my punishments without complaint."

Yang: *squirming* "Yeah. I... I don't..."

Blake: *meekly* "Could you tie this choker around my neck? For my punishment later?"

Yang: *reading the inscription* "Snap... My.... Collar?

Blake: "Kitty's going to get her cream, fresh and hot~ Uh, I mean, I couldn't ask you to..."

Yang: "Er... I think I should...watch. Yeah, that's it, just to make sure and...and..."

Blake: *hopefully* "Hold my head down and make me choke and gag?"

Jaune's Childhood Friends: The Forgotten Bride 3
Siiiiigh. This is why I shouldn't post so late at night.

- - -

Jaune blinked as he looked over the situation he was in as the surreal experience it was. His childhood friend was sitting with him at the lunch table, cuddled up to his side after dropping the bombshell of all bombshells to his friends. Pyrrha was on his other side, not cuddled up but clearly not happy about something. Everyone else was gathered around, staring at him. Cardin had choked on his toast, so hey, there was that.

Jaune wasn't so big a man he couldn't enjoy that.

Weiss... Was also looking... Jealous? He wasn't sure how to feel about that.

Blake was also looking confused and terrified. Why? She seemed to know the girl, and Eve certainly knew her.

"So Jaune," Pyrrha began, her eyebrow twitching over that model perfect smile, "However did you and Eve meet?"

"Yes. How?" Blake pressed.

Ruby whimpered a bit. Poor girl looked kind of crushed. Geez, his bestie was just getting creamed!

Yang and Nora were eating popcorn, and Ren was sharing with Nora. Figures.

"So, her mom was injured in an SDC Mining camp," Jaune explained, "My mom and dad were protecting it and doing some medical work. They brought her and her daughter to Radian for a year for her recovery, and uh, we became friends."

"His family opened their hearts and home to me," Eve beamed, "And showed us so much kindness." She sighed happily and hugged Jaune's arm to her chest more securely. He could tell Pyrrha was mad-The voltage in the air seemed to increase. "Jaune and I were the best of friends!"

"Yeah, she was pretty awesome," Jaune laughed, "The most awesome girl I ever met! We went hiking, fishing, played at swordfighting, video games, so much else!"

"Oh. Wow," Ruby said, trying to smile but the sadness in her eyes was pretty strong.

"Uh, not that you're not my best friend too, Ruby!"

"Oh yes, his best friend," Eve said with a smile, "Like a little sister."

For some reason, Ruby looked offended.

Eve snuggled against him.

"But alas," Eve sighed, "I had to leave with my mother. We were... Ahem... Joining the White Fang protests against the SDC's barbaric work practices."

"What a surprise," Weiss muttered. Eve and Blake shot her venomous looks. To Weiss' credit, she didn't back down.

"But before I left," Eve giggled, "Jaune here swore he would marry me someday!"

"I-I mean..." Jaune coughed. "I had turned ten and I just learned... I uh... I kind of figured out she was a girl..."

"An early bloomer!" Nora giggled.

"I definitely was," Eve giggled, "It happens to cow faunus early."

"Lucky you," Weiss grumbled. Ruby grimaced in empathy.

Jaune wasn't gonna get into that. He had to deal with that kind of thing with his sisters.

Not sure why Pyrrha was so upset. Her body rivaled Eve's just fine, even without bovine attributes-NOPE. None of that!

"So uh, yeah, I proposed," Jaune said with a nervous smile. "It was, um-"

"Just something a young boy might say in the throes of puberty?" Weiss pressed, glaring at him and Eve. Again, weird.

"Totally binding by Faunus standards!" Eve cried happily.

"Wait what," Jaune tried.

Eve's lower lip wobbled as she stared at Jaune.

"You mean... You don't want to marry me?" She asked.

"I uh... I totally didn't say that," Jaune said quickly, "But maybe we should... Um... Talk to your parents about this-"

"They're dead," Eve hissed, a real, murderous anger on her face for a moment before she calmed down. That said, Jaune's objections fell by the wayside. He hugged her tightly, and held her close.

"I'm so sorry, Eve," Jaune murmured, "That's horrible. I-I can't imagine how horrible you must feel. But I'm here for you, I-I promise."

Eve hesitated for the first time since she had re-entered his life. She wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled in close.

"I... I know it may be sudden," Eve murmured, "But... Finding you again is... Is what gave me hope in dark times. You... You understand, right?"

Jaune nodded slowly.

"I... I didn't know you felt that much for me," Jaune said. He smiled as some old clan knowledge came to his mind. Something he actually remembered. "But uh... Look. We just met each other again after several years. Maybe we should... Take things slow? I-I mean, you might not want me anymore-"

"I could never not want you in my life, Jaune!" Eve insisted, cupping his cheeks between her hands. "You... You were my light!"

"And... And I'll always be that for you," Jaune said, smiling warmly as he took her hands and moved them away from his face to between his hands, "But I want you to be happy, Eve. I-I mean... I wouldn't want you to build me up in your mind into the perfect guy and be disappointed! All I want is for your happiness."

Eve's eyes shone with tears.

"Oh, Jaune," Eve sniffled, "You... You've really grown into a wonderful man... But the years apart... I suppose I must prove my devotion to you!"

"Wait, what?" Jaune managed.

"Yes! You're right! I-I have grown into a very different kind of woman than you remember!"

"You were like thirteen-"

"SO! We will take things slow," Eve said with a nod. She beamed at him. "I have waited this long, I can wait a little longer... And ensure no one's taken my place."

She glared hatefully at Blake, who shrank back.

"We're just friends!" Jaune said quickly. "Blake and I just-We read some books together but that's it! We're just friends!"

"Good! Keep it that way," Eve hissed.

Hoo boy, I am going to have to learn how to wrangle this girl, Jaune thought. Yang smirked at him, and he scowled.

Bet she was thinking of the same bad joke, too...

Renora: Hell of a Childhood 2
Jaune was really hoping not to get called to the Headmaster's office on the first day before classes. But given the situation, it was not unexpected.

Weiss: "Wh-Why are the rest of us here? We didn't have a child-!"

Glynda: "YOU ARE ALL INVOLVED!"

Nora: "I really don't see what the big deal is."

Ren: "Agreed." He's holding Thor now, rocking him gently "Please don't shout, he just got to sleep."

Glynda: seething "How did you-WHY did you bring your son into a Forest full of Grimm?!"

Nora: "Well we don't know anyone here! So we couldn't ask some stranger to take care of him! You know how much babies can go for on the black market?"

Glynda: "I... Why would I know that-?"

Jaune: "10,000 lien on a bad day!"

Nora: "Exactly!"

Weiss: "Why do you know that?!"

Jaune: "Uh... We could talk about that over dinner, maybe?"

Weiss: "Seriously?!"

Pyrrha: "I-I'd love to hear about it, Jaune!"

Jaune: "Er... Sure? I guess-?"

Glynda: "ENOUGH! How can you call yourselves parents, endangering your child like that in a forest full of Grimm?!"

Nora: "That was our childhood! And we didn't have super badass parents looking after us! See? We're already doing great!"

Ren: nods "Dad would be proud."

Nora: "But don't worry, Professor! Now we have people we can trust our baby with! Ruby and Pyrrha want to be Aunties already!"

Ruby: "YEAH! AUNTIE RUBY IS GO!"

Yang: "Yeeeeah, have fun with that-"

Nora: "And Auntie Yang!"

Yang: "What, why?!"

Nora: "You have the experience!"

Yang: "That's why I don't want it!"

Nora: turns to Weiss "Aunty Weiss-Weiss?"

She holds the cute and drooling Thor out to Weiss. Weiss'... Heart melts.

Weiss: "S-Sure... Oh you little cutie, you're such a cutie~!"

Nora: turns to Glynda with a big smile "See? No more problems, Professor!"

Glynda: "..." She slowly turns and stares at Ozpin "REALLY?!"

Ozpin sips his coffee.

Ozpin: "They passed all the tests. And they seem like very responsible young people."

Nora: "HOORAY!" She hands her son a Dust grenade as he gets fussy "Here you go sweetie, your favorite!"

Weiss: "Um-"

Ren: "Relax, it's not armed."

Nora: "Yup! I just drew a face on it, and Mister Explody is ready to go!"

Glynda sighs.

Glynda: Another reason I drink...

Renora: Hell of a Childhood 3
During the Vytal Festival Incident...

Nora: (screeches to a halt in front of Ozpin) "Here, take Thor, I need to go help Ren!"

Ozpin: "Miss Valkyrie, I need to get to my office urgently-"

Nora: "THEN TAKE HIM WITH YOU WHILE YOU CALL PEOPLE, THIS IS IMPORTANT, SOME NUT STARTED A GRIMM ATTACK AND I NEED TO HELP STOP IT FOR ALL THE KIDS!" (Runs off)

Ozpin: (looks down at the toddler) "Shoot."

(In the Vault)

Ozpin: "Shit shit shit, Pyrrha isn't here yet and I have one hand on my cane and another full of squirming toddler."

Thor: (cries)

Ozpin: "Who is crying. I don't remember how to make that stop! Gods, I wish I could just SLEEP this all off."

Cinder: (stalking forward) "I can help with both of those...." (raises bow)

Ozpin: (snaps up cane out of instinct)

OBLITERATION

Ozpin: (cradling Thor) "Oh, oh that was instinctual, wow, just off the cuff and now she's gone... Along with 80 years of storage, but..."

Thor giggles.

Ozpin: "Annnnnd you're laughing at the ultraviolence, of course.... Well, no use crying over spilled milk, at least that's one issue gone..."

(Banging sounds are heard from the nearby pod)

Amber: "Hello? Can someone let me out? A-also is that a baby? What's happening?"

"Renny~," Nora crooned, "There's a new ultra-violent romantic movie coming out this weekend~! Wanna go see it?"

Ren was meditating on his bed. He opened one eye and slowly shook his head.

"I don't think that would be appropriate-"

"Please?" Nora begged.

Ren shut his eyes.

"We can go as a team-"

"No! I want to go out... Ya know... Just us both? Please?"

He heard her desperation. He could only imagine how hurt she felt.

Still... I-I just... I can't...

Ren sucked in a deep breath to calm himself.

"I need to... To train and-"

He felt something bash against his skull, and he was out.

Jaune and Pyrrha entered their dormroom, Jaune limping a bit. Pyrrha, as she had been for the last half hour, winced.

"I am so sorry I broke your leg-"

"It's fine, I'm healing," Jaune sighed.

"I really just went too far-"

"I wanted you to go too far-"

"Jaune I am super, super sorry! I-I will make it up to you however you want-!"

"PYRRHA!"

Jaune grabbed Pyrrha's shoulders and looked her in the eyes.

"It's. Fine. All right? The only way either of us will get better is if we push our limits. Maybe I should have known better than to ask you to go all out."

He paused.

"Was that all out?"

"... Kind of sort of," Pyrrha murmured.

Jaune whistled.

"That's pretty incredible. It's like, one moment I was on my feet, the next I was down! You're amazing, Pyrrha!"

Pyrrha smiled, even as she sniffled. Jaune sighed and hugged her. She relaxed a fair amount.

"It's okay, Pyrrha. I'm almost completely healed, Nurse Tsune said I was fine. Live and learn, all right?"

"R-Right," Pyrrha sighed, leaning into his warmth. She hummed softly and nuzzled his neck. Jaune coughed and pulled away. She blushed.

"O-Oh! I'm sorry-!"

"That's fine!" Jaune said quickly. "Anyway, let's see how Ren and Nora are doing."

He opened the door to the dorm. He and Pyrrha stared.

Nora was holding an obviously unconscious Ren up with one arm, and holding a bouquet of flowers in her other. She beamed.

"Hey guys! Ren's taking me on a date! To the movies!" Nora chirped.

Jaune slowly blinked.

"Is he?" He asked.

"Yup!" Nora said cheerfully. "He's super excited!"

"He's unconscious," Jaune observed.

"He's unconscious from excitement!" She looked over at Pyrrha with a smirk.

"You could go with us and Jaune. Make it a double date."

She dropped the flowers and held up her hammer with a gleam in her eyes.

"Trust the hammer, Pyrrha. It can make all your dreams come true~."

Jaune took a deep breath.

"Nora, let's sit down and talk this out calmly and rationally. Pyrrha, you should... Pyrrha?"

Pyrrha blushed and looked between Nora, the hammer, and Jaune.

"Ummm..."

"Pyrrha," Jaune growled.

"I-I was just thinking about it-!"

"PYRRHA!"

Ghira and Kali sat in their bedroom. Both were trying to go over paperwork, Ghira wearing his reading glasses while Kali used her Scroll.

The only sound in the room was that of the clock ticking in the corner.

Ghira cleared his throat.

"... Kali," he began, "As much as I might like Jaune... I'm not entirely comfortable with him and Blake... Well..."

Kali smiled softly at him.

"I know, Darling... But look at it this way. Would you rather have Jaune as a son-in-law... Or Adam?"

Ghira contemplated that horrific near-reality for about ten seconds.

"... On second thought, I'm totally onboard with this plan. Though selling it to the populace will be difficult."

"It will take time," Kali agreed, "And hard work... But I know we can do it. Together."

She smirked.

"Besides... I don't think a white knight will need a lot of convincing to defend his princess, mm?"

"I hope not," Ghira grumbled.

Breakfast was a bit tense. On one hand, Blake was cuddled up to his side and feeding him, cooing happily and nuzzling against him. That was nice.

The breakfast spread was also amazing, as always. Jaune was even eating with chopsticks properly.

On the other... He could feel Ghira's glare in his soul, as he sat at the head of the table. Kali was beaming happily, and making most of the conversation with the happy Blake.

All too soon, breakfast was finished. Ghira rose, and Jaune followed. Blake rose with him and hugged him tightly. She kissed his cheek.

"Have a wonderful day, Jaune~!" She giggled. It wasn't something Jaune had ever heard before, and it made him smile. He nuzzled her back, and tried to kiss her cheek... But with ninja speed, she shifted her lips into his path and made out with him hungrily. Even as she slipped his bunny ears onto his head.

Riiiight in front of her parents.

"Mmmmwah! Th-Thank you, Blake!" Jaune managed in a high pitch. He quickly pulled away... Though not without a final hug and kiss. He held back his surprise when she slapped his butt. He pouted back at her as she waved him goodbye with a cheeky smile.

Ghira's glare seemed to have physical weight, pressing down on his soul like the air pressure was increasing. He kept it up even while Kali kissed him goodbye.

"Have a great day, dear! You too, Jaune!" Kali said, waving cheerfully. Jaune managed a weak smile, as he and Ghira walked out into the front yard of the mansion. The doors closed behind them. Only the sound of cicadas and the wind filled the air. Jaune worked his jaw as Ghira stared dead ahead.

The silence stretched on. Ghira then slowly took a deep breath, and turned to Jaune.

"Jaune, I-"

Jaune turned and opened his mouth.

"May I marry your daughter?" He blurted out.

Ghira blinked.

"Wait what-?"

"I'll marry her!" Jaune said quickly, "I-I'll propose to her right now, with your permission! I'll do everything I can to make her happy, and I'll be the best father I can be to our children! I-I'll do anything you want me to, to-to earn your trust-!"

"Woah woah woah!" Ghira said, holding his hands up, "Calm down, Jaune, calm down!"

Jaune nodded quickly, taking quick breaths. Ghira sighed and shook his head slowly.

"I'm glad you're willing to take responsibility," he said, "And believe it or not? I am glad you're... With my daughter."

He made a face.

"You're a hell of a lot better than Adam Taurus," he growled.

"I... Thank you," Jaune managed, nodding quickly. "That guy's an asshole."

"Asshole is the nicest term I can think of," Ghira stated. He sighed again, and scowled at Jaune.

"But she is my daughter. And you're a guy."

Jaune opened his mouth, but Ghira held his hand up.

"Not that you're a human. You're a guy, with my daughter."

Jaune nodded quickly.

"I knew that," he said, "My dad is... Is the same way with my sisters."

Ghira smiled wryly.

"Just remember," he said, "She's my only daughter, and I have an army and navy."

Jaune nodded quickly.

"Completely understand."

"And I'm not going to go easy on you," Ghira stated, "In fact? I'm only going to train you harder."

Jaune nodded again, even as he paled.

"Good! You... You totally should!"

Ghira sighed heavily. He patted Jaune on the shoulder.

"Honestly? I am going to fucking wreck your shit, kid. But! Trust me, it'll be better than what Blake will do to you if you break her heart."

Jaune gulped and nodded again.

"Yes sir..."

In the dojo, Blake faced her mother. Both of them stood with their weapons drawn. Both waited patiently for any twitch, any sign of movement.

And... There!

Blake brought up Gambol Shroud and parried Kali's first furious ninjato strike, then the next three strikes. Kali then released her ninja chain attachment, swinging her blade like a wild flail. Blake artfully dodged around the swings, using her clones to draw her mother's blows. She used a clone as cover as she dashed behind her mother, and swung her cleaver at her back.

Kali ducked underneath the swing, and threw a pair of wooden kunai right at Blake. She narrowly dodged around the kunai, one taking some hair from her head, as she fired her blanks at her mother. Kali vanished in smoke, and Blake swung around to deflect Kali's ninjato strike from behind!

Their blades met, and Kali nodded.

"Good," she said, "You're a bit rusty, but you're in fine form."

Blake blushed and bowed her head.

"Thank you Mom."

Kali then smirked.

"Is there any connection to the fact you're fully healed and your 'I got laid' glow?"

Blake's blush grew much darker, as she looked to the side and held her hands together. She couldn't help her awkward but happy little giggle.

"Um... W-Well... He always did have a lot of Aura," she mumbled.

Kali giggled back, and hugged her daughter tightly.

"That's great! Though using it in battle might be a bit difficult." She hummed. "Not impossible-"

"MOMMM!" Blake squealed. Kali laughed, and beamed down at her.

"It's just been a long time since I saw you so happy," she said. "I'm glad to see it again."

"... Me too," Blake admitted softly. She sighed. "I... I wish I'd never gotten with Adam, fallen for him-"

"It means," Kali said softly, squeezing Blake's shoulder, "That you know the difference between infatuation, and love."

"Do-Do you think it's really love?" Blake asked quickly. "It feels so sudden... We haven't even been on a date yet."

Kali smiled warmly.

"It might be... Though I don't blame you for wanting to take it slowly."

"Mother," Blake groaned, "It's a little late to talk about taking it slow."

Kali giggled.

"Physically? Yes. Emotionally? Mm... I can understand that," she said, "But I doubt you two could ever have a normal romance. Only a romance that works for you both."

Blake nodded slowly. The door opened, and the house servant Teras, a turtle Faunus, smiled and bowed.

"My lady, Lady Blake's friend Ilia has arrived."

Blake's ears perked up as she heard and smelled someone near and dear to her. She turned and smiled warmly at the form of her old friend as she stepped into the doorway.

"Ilia!"

Ilia slowly nodded, her smile a bit awkward and tense.

"Hello Blake... It has been too long..."

Kidnapping Gone Wrong
Blake and Adam managed to capture Whitley Schnee.

Adam: "Now... We'll see how much we can get. Let's cut off his ear and send it to him, make sure he knows we're serious-"

Blake: "We don't have to do that, Adam! Please?"

Adam: "... Fine. You keep an eye on him then."

Blake: "All right..."

Later, Blake meets with Whitley.

Blake: "Listen, I know this is scary. Just please, cooperate with us and I promise I will get you home safe and sound."

Whitley: blush

Blake: "Are... Are you okay?"

Whitley: "Y-Yeah... I... I don't think my dad's going to pay my ransom though. He doesn't negotiate with terrorists."

Blake: "I hope not."

Whitley: "I might get to spend more time with you though! That's not so bad!"

Blake: "You're sweet... But if you're no good to us... Adam might decide to kill you."

Whitley: "Oh... Um... Y-Yeah... Would I get a last request?"

Blake: "What would you want?"

Whitley: looking innocent "... A kiss from the most beautiful girl in the world?"

Blake: "... I wish I could find her for you."

Whitley: "Wh-What are you talking about? She's right in front of me!"

Blake: "..." laughs "You're very brave."

Whitley: blush, beams

As it turns out, Blake manages to help Whitley escape and then leaves the White Fang. But Whitley still has it BAD for his Cat Girl Captor. Cue the shenanigans.

Blake: "Why exactly do you like me? I helped kidnap you!"

Whitley: "You're a hot ninja catgirl! How could I NOT like you?"

Why Jaune Doesn't Use a Spear...
- - -

Team JNPR had been deployed to just outside Vale's walls for a patrol mission. It was nice and simple, and they got to interact with some locals in the "bump" village nearby. A bump village was a small town, built inside a ring wall extending out from the main Valean walls. Most were a lot poorer than Vale's inner communities, but they also provided extra protection for the main city, so they were tolerated.

Jaune and Pyrrha were on patrol just outside the wall. Some kids waved from the top of the wall, and they waved back.

"Can we get some flowers, Hunters?" They called out. Jaune had agreed and picked some wildflowers. He tossed up a bouquet he'd tied together with some stems, and the kids cheered. He grinned and waved back. He turned to Pyrrha, who was smiling warmly. He flushed a bit.

"Er... I mean, they wanted some flowers, so-"

"No, that's fine," Pyrrha said quickly, "It was very cute."

"Ah, well, thanks," Jaune said with a nod and a smile. He hefted up Crocea Mors to resume the patrol.

"So," Pyrrha began, "This is the first time in a while we've been alone."

Jaune winced.

"Er... Yeah, a little," he admitted. "I-I've been training on my own, I promise-"

"I'm not worried about that, Jaune," Pyrrha said quietly, "But I am... Concerned. Did I do something to upset you?"

Jaune shook his head.

"N-No! No! Not at all! Not at all!"

"Then..." She hesitated. "Is it your new Semblance?"

Jaune groaned quietly and shrugged.

"... A little," he admitted. "I've been training with it so often, and I-"

"Why not with me?" Pyrrha asked quietly.

Jaune sucked in a deep breath and tried to compose his thoughts.

"I... It's not that I don't want to, Pyrrha," Jaune admitted, "Well... I mean, I kind of..."

He sighed.

"... Every time I train with others... Cept Ruby... They like my other personas more than, well... Me." He shrugged. "Weiss shoves a rapier into my hands the moment she sees me. Yang just puts on the gauntlets for me. Hell, Blake's been offering me her cleaver. I just..."

He bowed his head.

"You're my partner, mentor, and friend," he said, "And if you liked my other persona better-"

Pyrrha shook her head and reached out. She rested her hand on his shoulder, and he looked up with a small start.

"Jaune," she said gently, "I liked you before you discovered your Semblance. I'll like you after. It's... It's not the only thing about you. I'm sure... I'm sure the others like you, too. Those personas are still parts of you."

Her smile grew just a little.

"You are more than just your abilities. I know this... Because you taught me that."

Jaune flushed, and smiled warmly at her.

"Thanks Pyrrha," he said with a nod, "I-I really appreciate that."

He sighed in relief.

"Honestly, Weiss has been getting a little scary. So has Yang."

"Oh?" Pyrrha asked, trying to sound casual and still smiling, but a danger sense began to scream in the back of Jaune's mind, "How so?"

"Well-"

Pyrrha turned, and Jaune followed her gaze. A trio of Renards, Fox-like Grimm, were stalking towards the wall. Jaune shook his head.

"Right, mission time-"

"Here."

Jaune blinked as Pyrrha held out her spear and shield. She beamed at him.

"We might as well see how it goes," she said, "I'll be fine, I'm right here."

- - -

Jaune smiled and nodded. He switched weapons with her. His eyes lit up with Aura... And in a moment, a more focused young man was standing there. Jaune's smile was replaced with a determined frown. He stood ramrod straight and held the spear and shield like he was born with them.

"Jaune?" Pyrrha asked, a little concerned.

"Jonas," he corrected her in a stern voice, "There's another pack circling around."

Pyrrha's eyes widened, but she focused. Yes, she could hear the Renards further off in the distance.

"I hear them."

"Smart bastards," Jonas stated, "I'll get the flankers. Deal with the distraction." He ran off into the underbrush, and Pyrrha stood her ground.

"Got it."

She charged into the fight with Crocea Mors. The first Renard leaped up and tried to go for her eyes, while its brothers attempted to flank her. She used Crocea Mors in a shield bash, shattering the first one's skull, before she stabbed the second and third as they tried to gang up on her. All three Grimm died in moments, turning to ash before her.

"Jonas!" She called out. A moment later, Jonas stalked out of the brush, a bit bloodied across his arms. Pyrrha gaped.

"Jaune? I-I mean, Jonas? Are you all right-?"

"I'm fine, bastards only got in superficial strikes," Jonas grunted. He shook his head. "You though... You're getting out of shape."

Pyrrha blinked.

"Huh?"

"You finished those Renards off in, what, six seconds?" Jonas scoffed. "Shouldn't have taken longer than four. You've been so focused on training me, you've been neglecting to push your own limits."

"That's not true!" Pyrrha insisted. "I-I've kept up my own routine-"

"But you haven't been pushing yourself further," Jonas stated. Pyrrha winced.

"I... I did slow down a little-"

"Not good enough," Jonas stated, "Stand at attention, soldier!"

Despite her confusion, Pyrrha obeyed instantly. There was just something about Jaune's voice in this form that was so compelling.

Jonas stalked around her, frowning. He slapped her bottom with the flat of her sword.

"EEP!" She jumped.

"Your stance is getting sloppy," Jonas huffed. He stood in front of her.

"You're the lynchpin of our team, Pyrrha," Jonas stated, "You shouldn't carry us but you're not gonna be brought down to our level, either. We're gonna train at your level and beyond from now on. You are a Goddess of War and you are not going to be held back. Understood?"

Pyrrha nodded her head rapidly.

"Y-Yes sir!"

"And if you keep acting sloppy, we'll keep disciplining you! Understood?"

Pyrrha's face turned bright red and an eager smile emerged on her face.

"YES SIR!"

Oh, she still lov-cared for Jaune deeply... But this persona did offer some unique opportunities.

Ones she would definitely make use of for Jaune's sake... And her own!

Mortal Enemies
It was rare Weiss got a call from her father, and never pleasant. In this case... It was confusing.

Jacques: "Weiss. I want to know one thing. Is there a Jaune Arc at your school?"

Weiss: "Yesss...?"

Jacques: "Of the Radian Arcs? Uses a sword called Crocea Mors?"

Weiss: further confused "I... Think so?"

Jacques: "Good. I want you to steer clear of him. Have nothing to do with him at all!"

Weiss: "I-Wait, what? Why?"

Jacques: "The Arcs are our family enemies. They thwarted my efforts to acquire Dust mines in North Sanus! His father insulted me at a town meeting, and mocked my manhood! He convinced the local council to reject my business offer! They are persona non grata to me, and should be to you, too!"

Weiss: "... Really?"

Jacques: "Yes! In addition, his mother is a real... She refused to become our exclusive physician. She refused ME. They are not to be trusted, or associated with. Understood?"

Weiss: "Yes Father."

Jacques: "Good. Remember: Nothing to do with that boy at all!"

Weiss: "Of course Father!"

Later...

Weiss: "Jaune."

Jaune: "Hm? Oh, hey Weiss. Sorry about asking you out all the time-"

Weiss: "Apparently our families are mortal enemies."

Jaune: "... What? They are?"

Weiss: "Yes! My father truly hates your family entirely! And wants me to have nothing to do with you!"

Jaune: "Well... I mean, if you want I'll just-"

Weiss: "So you're taking me out on a date Friday night."

Jaune: "... I... Am?"

Weiss: "Yes, you are."

Jaune: "Even though our families are supposedly mortal enemies?"

Weiss: "Yep!"

Jaune: "... Okay?"

Weiss: "Dress nice. Bring flowers." She heads off with a smile

Jaune: "... What the hell just happened?"
