The Red Rose of Konoha (Yu Yu Hakusho/Naruto)

[X] Everybody in the room's gonna hear what I got.

-SHUNKGRK!-

The root goes in at the eye and comes out the back of the head before slicing itself free. Amusingly, the beast never sees it coming.

... what? No blood?

The fox's body is slowly disintegrating.

I see. It must be completely composed of yoki. It lacks a true physical form.

Curse... you...

Many have, you think back. It rarely lasts.

[X] Absorb the energy before it dissipates. Waste not.

[X] In front of all these humans whom you'll presumably have to live with? No. Let the wretch find some manner of peace.

[X] See if you can cage the corpse. Energy beings have a distressing habit of reviving at the absolute least convenient moment.

I'm going with the nothing to see here option myself, it'll be harder to trace back to us if we don't get further involved. Kuruma's had a lot of pratice at hiding in the human world after all, and part of it's not giving them a reason to believe he's different from anybody else.

(x) We kill the Kurama, thereby becoming the Kurama! That is how it works!

Vote Analysis:

[X] Absorb the energy before it dissipates. Waste not.

We become the new Kyuubi. Obito's plans suddenly revolve around us and all the villagers hatefuy insults become partly true.

[X] In front of all these humans whom you'll presumably have to live with? No. Let the wretch find some manner of peace.

Most likely the Kyuubi reforms. Same option as letting it go free which we did not pick. Obito will manage to use it again. On the other hand it might take decades or even centuries.

[X] See if you can cage the corpse. Energy beings have a distressing habit of reviving at the absolute least convenient moment.

Canon storyline.

we have no need of the Kyuubi's power, going for it is stupid power grubbing and isn't worth the trouble.

Sounds interesting. And we sound badass enough that we won't explode because we devoured an energy ball bigger than our head. No amateur-hour horseshit here, no sir.

Vote change.

I've been avoiding voting due to knowing fuck all about Yu Yu Hakusho.
But there are two standard rules in a Quest
1) Never underestimate an enemy
2) Never eat an energy source bigger than your own head.

Letting it dissipate fails lesson number one; you letting an enemy go off to lick its wounds and return at a time of it's choosing is terrible strategy.
And it made an explicit threat suggesting that it will return, so ignorance is no defence.

Trying to absorb it fails lesson number two; trying to absorb something that big while in the body of a child can lead to irreversible changes in a body you were just born into.
Care to turn into a fox permanently? Or size?
And that's assuming your head doesn't blow up.

[X]Cage the body
