Video Games General

You're surprised gamers found a way to act like cunts to other people when given the chance? Or managed to turn a once nuanced/neutral statement into a barely 2 dimensional insult?
The latter, mostly. Though I think it's 50/50 people taking it as an insult and others finding it funny enough to use it as one. The former is sort of something I expect in general not just from the gaming community.

Kek. Fortnite please; read.

I'm still trying to figure out what they were trying to say to get that of all things. Is it supposed to be Japanese or something that looks really bad when there's no spaces in between the words cause otherwise there is no fucking way they didn't know.
Sorry, but you seem to know some context. Is this supposed to mean something else?

Well if they have a hashtag I can only assume they thought It meant something. You don't just put a bunch of random letters together, it's got to mean something to the product to better connect with the consumer's.
But instead of something simple like @fortnightnaruto they went with @incestlolicon? I'm wondering those letters are a translation error or something.
And yes I know it looks like incest and lolicon but I'm trying to give them the benefit of doubt and hope that it's two words that they didn't think would look like that when squashed together with no spaces.

They were replying to someone with that name, apparently.

I guess that'd be it. Makes the most sense given it was an @.

My own guess wouldve been that they misspelled the actual thing they wanted to put there, probably a Japanese word.
But a poorly merged acronym or shortening was also possible. Inc est lol icon? Incorporated Eastern Laugh Out Loud Icon...???

Though there is something funny about Itachi being on pic with that string of words. :p

I have been playing a game called Troubleshooter recently. Its essentially incorporates the nuXCOM cover system and adds a ton of RPG mechanics to it.

The customization is also expansive as it uses what it calls mastery system which uses items called mastery with different effects and equip them to your character like lego. It also gives extra effects if you combine 4 specific mastery called mastery set. It allows you to make the usual tank be speedy, the assassin type being able to tank hits or further improve their specialization.

It has item crafting, pet taming and drone creation. Those drones and pets have their own mastery tree and abilities which can affect your potential playstyle even further.

Also it has an online mode which has everything offline has except online friends, gifting and PVP which is just you facing another player's set characters controlled by the AI.

The story is also interesting, the game is set in a free city between 3 powerful nations and there are alot of conspiracies running around. You follow Albus (the dark haired, swordsman) as he rises through the ranks of his what is essentially a mercenary company called Troubleshooters. You meet the cover girl called Irene a couple of missions later.

Albus isn't really a the typical protagonist as he is reckless and wants to rise in ranks to know more details about an incident caused by a conspiracy. Most of the members you recruit are special like former gang members, royalty, spies, or are related to famed members of a Troubleshooter Company except Irene who grew up from a normal family and wanted to be special which is Ironic as she is the one that wanted to be a hero.

I played that but never ended up finishing it. The game was a bit janky but sorta fun anyways.

I knew you could do it with Mario 3.

But on OoT? And so fucking good? Holy shit.

Finally looked into Digimon Survive now that it's actually going to be released and it sure seems reminiscent of Devil Survivor. Just with the characters having to survive a bad neighborhood in the digital world rather than an average week in Tokyo.

What if Alan Wake 2 had two protagonists whose story you switched between at various points. Specifically Alan Wake himself and Jesse Faden, who in the Control DLC is implied to be a creation of Alan Wake to be a hero to save him from The Dark Presence where he's trapped.

Think Yakuza 0 with Majima and Kiryu's separate stories. Or maybe Nier Automata.

Not needed. Also, it'd confuse people who have never played Control.

(I started but never got too far into it. The game was too clunky and just didn't interest me.)

If that doesn't happen, the two will likely come together at the end of the game to tease the sequel as the full cross.

Considering the tone though, Jesse's likely to be heavily involved in the whole game.

She's also likely to kick his ass for the trouble.

I just remembered why I fucking hate the Nether in Minecraft. First I get swarmed by Piglins because I forgot to grab some gold armor, then I get fucking yeeted off a fucking cliff behind my portal.

Respawn. Grab some armor, gold pants and leather boots, grab gravel too. Got back to HELL, drop gravel down the edge and then dig down. Get blown the fuck up by a FUCKING Ghast.

Respawn. Grab last gold armor, Gold shirt, and a shovel. Go back to the Nether, fall onto remaining gravel, losing most of my hearts and dig down the rest of the way. Grab my remaining shit, fucking pigs took all of the armor and my shield. Get hit by Magma Slime, armor breaks and I get swarmed by FUCKING PIGS AND I GET SHOT BY THE FUCKING GHAST! AGAIN!!!

Fuck me for wanting some gold for Gold Apples to help make an iron farm. Fuck the progress for that world, deleted that fucking bitch. AND FUCK MINECRAFT!

I find this one is entertaining in summarising Vagrus.

SGDQ demonstration of Ocarina of Time 1.0 beta content and arbitrary code execution. The last 15 minutes are all SGDQ filler content, but everything before that? Very worth watching.

Bought Stray.

It's pretty interesting so far- I have 50% of the memories, so I imagine I'm at around the halfway point? Maybe.

You're a cat, you get to do cat things while dealing with silly robots and someone's science experiment gone wrong. There is in fact an achievement for sleeping a full hour... in real time. Not consecutively, pretty sure.

My only complaint is that the cat faces aren't expressive enough. I think this was a small-ish studio though, so that may have just been a matter of 'we're not going to extend the production time another year getting it right' thing.

Do recommend, though unless you're a cat lover maybe wait for a sale.

EDIT:
OH HAI LOVECRAFT!

I was considering recommending this game to my mother. Nope.

Also missed the memories so I have to fucking go back down there.

Huh. I just learned today of Touhou Mystia's Izakaya. A restaurant simulator in Touhou. Gather ingredients during the day, cook at night.

And pay back debts to not get your kneecaps broken by Chen.

It has almsot 8k reviews on its steam page, which looks insane to me. Definitely have to give it a look later.
