Stats:
I think that with last round's total, Brian & Aisha takes the record (with 501) for highest first win total, and may hold it for some time. There are only two remaining fics which haven't won yet: MirrorVerse, and Really Bad End. MirrorVerse is 44 points below 501, and will likely come out on top in three rounds (almost certainly Recoil, then One More Trigger. Aftermath might beat it by 20 points per round on average for the next three rounds, but it's a stretch.), which going by recent voting patterns, is probably not enough time for it to get 43 points. Really Bad End is 186 points below 500, which with an average points/round of about 13, would take another 15 rounds to reach. There may be more chances in future as you bring in new fics, but those are only possibilities at the moment.

Vote 8: Recoil
And the winner is ...

Well, Nemesis is out there now. Please don't vote for it, but feel free to leave a comment with your vote if you think it should join the voting round. (I might be doing a second part to it soon anyway).

Just so people know; Brian & Aisha is probably nearing the end of its effective lifespan; in the next chapter or two, I will probably run through whatever variations are possible and available, and bring it to an end. (Note that this is also likely to take some time, given that this fic isn't all that popular. So it goes. I might just write them up anyway, in an idle moment).

Aftermath 434
All Unaware 187
Bait & Switch 105
Brian & Aisha 13
Confrontation 232
Danny & Taylor 272

Recoil 0 (519)
Security! 100
Trump Card 225

[If you want to know which of these stories is NSFW, check the first post of the thread..]

then Recoil. Because, you know, Recoil.

Signs point to yes.

Recoil it is, to no-one's great surprise.

From current trends, I would imagine One More Trigger to be next, followed by MirrorVerse.

For anyone who hasn't voted on this thread before, the voting rules go as follows:

1) UP TO five votes. I will not count anything extra, and a write-in will likely be ignored (if I want to write a different story, I will, but at my own discretion). Suggestions are welcome, but I am under no obligation to carry them out. And just remember, the more stories I am writing, the longer it will take for your favourites to roll back around.
2) First vote is worth five points, second is worth four, and so on.
3) You can't vote twice on the same story. First vote is the only one that counts.
4) If I say "Voting is CLOSED", then this post comes up, with "Voting is OPEN" at the bottom, then you can vote again.
5) If I say "Voting will continue", it's still the same voting period. Voting has not restarted. You can not vote a second time.

Vote format looks like this:

[X] I, Panacea - 5
[X] Security! - 4
[X] Recoil - 3
[X] Trump Card - 2
[X] NSW - 1

Specifically: SQUARE brackets around an X, one space, and please spell at least the first word of the name of the story properly. Number of voting points comes last. Please try to format your vote properly, so as not to confuse the vote counter.

Thank you.

Voting is OPEN.

I'm confused, are these additive? Because my math says Panacea with 65 beat Recoil with 64. Don't get me wrong, I prefer Recoil, I'm just trying to figure out how voting works exactly.

The vote totals are progressive. Whichever story has the highest vote point total when they're tallied gets updated. Then its total gets zeroed. I, Panacea beat Recoil on this round, but Recoil had a higher overall total.
