The actual reason is that DC was creating a new Teen Titans team and Argent was selected to be "the sexy one, like Starfire". She does not have enhanced endurance, other than in the sense that everybody in comic book land can take a few hits more than they realistically probably could.

A man without a head just showed up on the scene, and Kara is who she's staring at?! (Well perhaps she hasn't properly registered Ian yet, Kara certainly does attract attention.)

Anyway, new-Kara certainly does have a lot of time on her hands. Well I mean, she's basically a NEET. Not in Education, Training, or Employment. Becoming a teacher course hazard is at least making herself useful in some structured way, rather than flying around aimlessly looking for super work to do.

I'm imagining that Kara got an OMAC-operator handler to suggest missions to her, and it lasted about a day before Mister Atom declared the experiment canceled.

Fun fact, this is actually really really bad as the desert provides a number of necessary environmental functions and majorly effects the weather across northern Africa and Europe.

It would functionally kill the Amazon rainforest by removing the natural fertilization process that keeps it going and cause massive droughts across northern Africa and Europe.

Yeah, it's not like there is an actual goddess there that can manipulate the environment and fix any such issues.

Hell, in Zoat's take of things gods with hundreds of millions of followers don't have that level of power.

Also, that would involve crossing over into the Olympians control, which would get her wiped out.

There actually isn't, Dryad's work within natural processes, not outside of them.

Except we've seen her do some impressive things with her power, so doing that wouldn't be out of the question.

If you've already forgotten, she managed to terraform an entire desert, so further manipulation of the environment isn't out of the question.
