Fair enough, the character is an added one, I try to avoid blatant self-inserts but have written a lot of OCs for stories, so putting in the SI-OC tag now seemed fair option as such. I mostly focused on the setting itself and the presence of the Chaos Gacha, and both being somewhat different from the pure canon options.

Looking back, while Hunter x Hunter seems to be rather dull in depth, being essentially an orphan looking for his dad, the worldview and combat mechanics were designed rather meticulously, especially compared to the author's previous works, or even to other modern works, it only breaks where it is intended to, and it works well where it should, and keeps everything relatively open to interpretation
