Ao3 writers can be such snowflakes. A year or so ago I made a lengthy comment on a fic I liked, pointing out some glaring and basic flaws in MC's strategy and suggesting corrections and alternatives (of the grammatical and strategic variety). My comment disappeared, which made me think that perhaps I accidentally deleted my comment, or that I had not posted it at all.

So I typed out everything, again.

Miss Author deigned to reply to my new comment and asked me to get lost and that the first deletion should have been my cue. Also, the author asked me drop the story because criticism obviously means that I didn't like it.

I clarified that I pointed out the flaws because I liked the story.

Another person then replied to my comment that I was being rude because I wrote a 'lol' while pointing out a spelling error that I found funny. Another commenter then told me (in Spanish) that my comment was like that of a teacher talking down to a student.

Hm. What happened to your clueless deviant (hand-holder) ninja fic? It was pretty dang good, it had a relentless release schedule and then it just... stopped.

Did you and/or your partner have problems? Have you written up a bunch while putting it on a hiatus? Have you lost interest and gotten preoccupied with other, newer stories?

Hi Leecifer, I just wanted to say how much I've loved A Penumbral Path. I'm on my third read-through, and each time it's been a joy and a comfort to journey alongside Jorel and Anaïs. The story seems to grow with me, offering new reflections and deeper richness every time. I was wondering if you have any plans to continue it? I have plans, the issue is that Star Wars is pretty much a dead IP right now, and there's no general interest in it. One day I might come back to it,but that day is not today, nor will it likely be this year.

Why don't you make a snippet thread? Not trying to sound accusing, but you pretty frequently start a short story that could fit into a snippet thread. Then you could avoid being pestered about this or that story, since it's just a snippet thread. And when you truly intend to focus on a story and/or finish it, you could just pull it out of the snippet thread and post it as usual.
