Having stalked him on Discord, it seems he last posted less than two months ago, with messages having become less frequent in the preceding months. My bet is on "serious life disruption but not death". He did mention health problems here on QQ.

I know that you minimize your writing by just calling it slop; I think you're an amazing writer. Your stories, especially your Formula One story, has sparked a lot of introspection and has been the catalyst for my emotional growth. Or find a friend you trust enough to roommate with. Which is something kind of dangerous, because I've seen friendships get destroyed over hundred dollars and if your sharing an apartment or a space, your going to be working with a lot more money than that.

There's a saying that all isekai protagonists, in reality, are all arrogant, proclaiming themselves as chosen ones or whatever. But on the other monkey's paw, if you isekai and you have a cheat, and your ambitions are still the same, isn't that a waste of an isekai?

So I'm actually not sure. It's always easy to imagine that you won't abuse your power because you're thinking with the mindset of your current self, but if you do get power, your mindset might likely change.

@Gforce1000 Sorry to bother you if this was answered earlier, but regarding your CYOA. Does it work similarly to a series of jumpchain documents, in that every time you visit a new world within the CYOA, you get that world's budget to spend on new perks, companions, and so on? I couldn't seem to find anything regarding that in the document itself.

Nope. Some of the stuff you can buy might grow larger/stronger over time like the number of Companions and so on, but once you've finished the document you no longer interact with it. Unless you fail a Quest you took, at which point you lose stuff.

I hate it when you have the stories where the antagonist is shown on screen scheming or whatever and you just see the protagonist being completely oblivious, instead of counter scheming, it's like if you're in a fight and you know someone's gonna repeatedly punch you in the face and you kind of have to just stand there and take it

Because Protagonists having plans to counter a villain's plans (and by that I mean "on-screen" plans not "We pulled this No U out of nowhere to win the day) means Villains might counter that plan, and so on and so forth, and many creators just want to have the Protagonist be reactive rather than go that deep into planning.
