Dissect the Husk presumably introduces 2 lores at once to the Bureau. I'm shocked you'd suggest not doing it considering the argument last turn about Tall Tale vs bureau progress.
You mean before we saw with our very own eyeballs that Velvet simply "participating in Bureau things" can also introduce Lores to them? We could have introduced two whole Lores to the Bureau just by going all out on Tall Tale, and that was without Velvet getting really involved with things.Dissect the Husk presumably introduces 2 lores at once to the Bureau. Considering the husk was noted as being saturated in Grail and Knock, I'd assume that studying it is most likely to result in, well. Grail and/or Knock knowledge. The Bureau is lacking in Moth and Grail, which are some of the likelier suspects for Husk Knowledge.
Velvet going along also helps ensure she gets the pick of the loot if she can outpace the Bureau.
Were you not just being concerned over the Bureau's Lore oomph earlier when arguing that we should be scrying the City to determine which expedition gets which artifacts? If Velvet gets her hooves dirty, then there no reason to be concerned about trying to divvy up the artifacts correctly, because she's effectively a Level 4+ artifact for everything except Heart, in terms of the bonuses added. Which means DoA also gets to throw as much of a dice bonus as our artifacts can allow at the City.I don't think that line can keep getting repeated ad infinitum. Like, we're already massively investing our turn into this to make sure it goes well. Dissecting the Husk means the Bureau is at 7/9. And again, I dont think we really can fail this expedition at this point. Worst case scenario for me is a bunch of curses.

I forgot about that. Actually, if the Husk is going to be giving Knock, maybe we should try to knock out that Knock 2 Book for the Bureau. Actually that brings a question to mind: @OurLadyOfWires , is the book studying taking place after our Splendour expires, or before it expires? I'm a little foggy about it since this vote is for between-turn stuff but the AP time slot for studying was during Turn 22, and I feel like that will majorly impact what we choose to study.
Maybe that's something a MitL could do, if we summon one and they're capable of casting rituals. And Selene delays the doom clock enough that we'd actually have time to acquire and study it. Though I'd argue we'd want to go for Heart 5 rather than "strongest possible".Personally I want Baldomare to scry for the strongest Heart artifact this turn. It our weakest lore.
And again, I dont think we really can fail this expedition at this point if we send Selene+Mareinette
I say we send the Bureau and Selene to pickup the Forge Reagent. Ax, Smiles, and Forge name for the level 7 Book.
Given how Mareinette's probably worth around 4 Velvet ap due to the Celestia situation I'm pretty sure Mareinette's going to be too busy running the kingdom to go off adventuring.
Mareinette is useful, but you are way overestimating her potential impact.
I am working under the assumption that the Husk autopsy will yield some Knock scraps, as it apparently was drenched in Knock.
You underestimate Mareinette's power.
Running Equestria so Cadance has free time is her speciality.
Ax is shit if a Grail challenge shows up, at the very least we should send the Forge Name set to Grail so they can actually do everything. This is a Expedition for end game stuff, expect 150DC to be the norm.Cost is a real concern though.
Personally I trust Axe can get the book all by herself (her expedition bonus is hax and I doubt it's going to involve a social roll) but if we were sending backup wouldn't Selene be the better choice instead of Smiles or Forge colt?
You mean this? The QM specifically said that Mareinette AP is just equal to Velvet AP for this and that Grail doesn't apply.
Hmmm, we could still ask Mareinette to help so that Velvet can have 1 AP more, having Mareinette help could also give a narrative bonus. On a less joney note. Grail won't help. If you want Mareinette to aid on that, have her "step in" as Velvet and aid Cadance as a character.
She COULD be better, but truth is we just don't know. The QM specifically said that Mareinette AP is just equal to Velvet AP for this and that Grail doesn't apply. Please for the love of god stop spouting misinformation as fact.

We'll get a level 1 knock manuscript from introducing it to the Bureau, but even if Velvet personally gets knock/grail scraps I dont think it will level the library any further.
Granted there is a tiny chance that Selene teaches them a bit of Knock by bringing an investigator dreamwalking with her to Windy during the Consult action,
I still think we can just say hi to Windy, he's had plenty of time to do the hyper-villainous acts people are worrying about and yet no such actions have occurred. Perhaps Cadance's perfect Wedding hit him with enough love for him to settle down with his girlfriend and tell the Wolf to fuck off. Perhaps Neighnia reached out to him and he's just working hard on his Palest Painting. Just find him and say hi in a form other than Investigators or hostile Names. We parted amicably enough, after all.
