Didn't about half of the celestial host followed him in whatever book describes the whole thing?

Also, not-spoilers: the whole point of this exercise is that he does not, in fact, wants to rebel and add to the fact that YHWH isn't an asshat like in some fiction incarnations that's so popular those days the likehood of him falling out with his Father are near zero.

Lol good point, and yeah. About half of them fell with him. Though, whether they'll follow the new Lucifer is the real question. Since Helel goes absent and all that.

If Michael is going to be based on the Michael from Bastard! will we create the Demon Gods and act as the Divine Demon God? While the primal devils of DxD were problems, the later ones made powerful and unique troops (72 Unique abilities which could be bred into other creatures even combining them [greatest case is the Bael PoD with Gremory Magic Control Sirzechs had which greatly increased all of his techniques also allowing him to become a Super Devil purely through technique mastery [turning himself into an Energy Based Lifeform with the Energy Wavelength being the PoD]) even disregarding the Evil Piece system.

Banking the xp might help in optimize things, but the more Authority you have at certain points in his development, the better the outcomes of certain events before you switch to canon DXD timeline. It's a question between having more power, or having better events when canon rolls out.

I thought having more Authority equaled having more power? Also, on your formula, is n the next point of Authority or how much you are buying? If it is the latter (and I believe it is), that would mean buying Authority one point at a time would be optimal in terms of Min Maxing.

You will gain authority as time passes and the updates roll out until a certain point. Afterwards you get to expend your xp to buy higher authority.

If you buy more authority now, you have more power available during the current events, but when the prologue ends and you get the expend the xp once more, you will have less xp to expend on things.

Or something. At the time I made the calcs it turned out that leaving buying authority for later would net you a higher authority rating, while buying it too early would mean you got less for your buck.

But we will see how it works out. I would suggest you guys to not try to optimize things too much, and simply go with the most interesting option you players find in order for Helel to develop more organically.

So I was just reading thos back when I got a like (have to get back to this eventually), but I saw the entry for Satanael.

Seriously, what kind of fucking retard would name the guy "Adversary of God"? Might as well just drop all pretenses and call them Azha Mazda and Angra Maiyu.

EDIT: Wait, it's the fanon wikia, nevermind. Name still stpid though..

Which means "hearing-god" aka "person who hears the voice of our lord god"

But Samael is an entirely different guy/gal/eldritch abomination. This one is an angel literally named Satan.

I would think God would have a better naming sense about his angels when they are NOT fallen.

I thought according to christian mythos satan's name was "Morning Star, the brightest and most beautiful", and that he took on the name satan after he was cast out of heaven by god.

In the jewish bible, there is only 1 mention of satan (demons don't exist, god was never rebelled against).

Specifically in the story of Job, which goes like that
God: Yo, satan, take a look at this mortal named Job, he loves me unconditionally
Satan: Nah, he only loves you because he is so rich
God: Bam, I took away his wealth, now he is poor. And look he stil loves me
Satan: Well, he still has his family
God: Ok, so I killed his family, and he still loves me!
Satan: He still has his health
God: Bam, now he is sick, still loves me
Satan: He still has the respect of the community
God: Bam, not anymore, now they are all saying he has been cursed by god due to being a great sinner

This is literally the only instance of satan before christians decided to rewrite everything. (note, the snake in the garden of eden was NOT satan in disguise, it was just a snake, which is why snakes crawl on their belly instead of walking on legs, they are cursed. and why snakes and humans are "inherently enemies" and can't speak the same language anymore, also a curse)

In that context, saying that "Satan is adversary" refers to "In debate" rather than "he is gonna backstab god"
 
I wouldn't be able to speak of RL theology. I will take some liberties on this quest, if only because in DxD they also play fast and loose with myths.

I meant that, when I found that article for DxD, someone had created an angel specifically named Satanael, ie "The Adversary of God".

If you go through that, might as well just call yourself Azha Mazda and the other Angra Maiyu since they're already there.
