He's afraid he'll be executed... by ninja? By Gramps, specifically? For killing someone who killed Konoha civilians.Selias said:After Teuchi and Ayame are killed, Naruto awakens the Rinnegan, and kills the people who did it. Scared that he'll be executed, he runs away, and is found by a monk from the Fire Temple. It's a pretty fun read, so far.
Well, they were military police, and he had just lost two people that he cared about, before killing two police officers. Plus, he was 7, at the time. Safe to say that his reasoning wasn't very rational at the time.Guile said:He's afraid he'll be executed... by ninja? By Gramps, specifically? For killing someone who killed Konoha civilians.

He has a third story, but I prefer these two. In the first one, Nigel M. Chalmers, a human from an advanced (but very violent) space civilization somehow appears near the Crystal Empire, right after it comes back, and kills Sombra, making himself the new empire in the process. In the second, Nigel gets sucked through a black hole in the back of his fridge while trying to get some cheesecake, and ends up in Equestria, turned into a changeling.
Time to read the last four chapters then. After the whole Rin&Saber fight I stopped keeping track of it. Hopefully this mean that GB will focus in the more interesting ideas.Selias said:
I thought that Hill of Swords was pretty good. I have to agree that In Flight's quality dropped, though.Vanathor said:Good. Hopefully GB will focus on his shorter more concise works - that is where he tends to shine the best, where the longer the stuff he writes the more the quality drops. IF is a perfect example of that.
I can only say that I'm impressed that he persevered despite such a negative response to the later chapters and finished the damn thing. That's more than most writers can say.Selias said:I thought that Hill of Swords was pretty good. I have to agree that In Flight's quality dropped, though.
