Nothing. Much like reversing time, any process that could even hypothetically breach the barrier between realities would require functionally infinite amounts of energy.

It would, in fact, be more energy efficient to just create a new reality.
Well then, unless something in our knowledge of how reality works changes, I guess it's not worth worrying about as far as real life goes.

Well, there's a small comfort in knowing that our universe probably can't explode. If there are an infinite number of layers, the odds none of them tripped across a way to start the cascade to End Everything approaches zero. Which means there is an astronomically probable chance that there exists no means by which to start a cascade failure of reality.

Or... the layer housing the Observable Universe is the only layer*, and thus there's nothing out there for us to interact with that might trigger said cascade.

*An old physics joke that is about a thousand times deeper than it sounds on the face:

Question: Why is the universe here?
Answer: Where else would it be?

So despite how "fun" something like "The Coming of the Quantum Cats" might be, until it happens, we might as well not worry about it.

Thoughts on the Pink Sauce thing that was going on?
Anyone know someone dumb enough to get some shipped?

For those not in the know, Pink Sauce is some woman's go at making a ranch sauce.
... there are a lot of problems that cropped up upon her Sauce going viral and getting mailed all over.
Spoiled, exploding, many conflicting reports/statements on recipe, allergy concerns, etc.
The Pinkness level changes with every post.
No refrigerated shipping.

... I assume it was kinda fine at the local level, where this stuff would get refrigerated pretty soon.

The lady also apparently did not know what FDA stands for.

After seeing the controversy, it seems safer to just make it homemade.
But since it's ranch, something i hardly ever touch, I personally have not real use for it.

But if some boss rolls out Purple, Blue, or Green Ketchup...

Does anyone have any idea what the general demographic of this forum looks like? As a sister site to SB and SV, you'd think it's mostly male and transfem, right? The lack of homosexual male smut & ABO points in that direction, too.

I think it's probably a male majority with a female minority, but I don't think I've ever run into anyone on this forum that was trans anything, from what I can recall. Or at least anyone that advertised themselves as such, but then again I tend not to prod, and profile options tend to be binary, so there might be a few I haven't noticed.

Also, I got no idea what "ABO" is supposed to be.

Why do you ask?

Also, I got no idea what "ABO" is supposed to be.

I assume they're referring to Alpha/Beta/Omega.

Generally fics tagged as such will have humans falling into Alpha, Beta or Omega roles, like those discredited theories about wolf packs, with Alpha/Beta, Alpha/Omega or Omega/Beta pairs being necessary for reproduction, and often with things like super-pheromones, heat cycles, etc. Usually little more than a half-assed excuse for putting the entire world in dom/sub relationships.

Also pregnant males, don't forget that.

Alpha/Beta/Omega Dynamics.
Ask about it in the story rant thread and enjoy the shitshow.

And now I regret asking, because that sounds fucked up.

I mean, I understand people having fetishes, but trying to come up with a contrived in-universe justification, and sell it as anything but a weird kink is, well, calling it weird would be redundant.

Ghost, what sins am I guilty of that warrant such cruelty? What crimes have I committed to be tortured like this?
This.

My brother in smut, you participate in the Monster Girl thread.

Not really.

While the former is suggestive, it doesn't take into account that forums, unlike fanfiction sites tend to trend towards either f/f or m/m in their fetish smut, not both. You get the occasional one of the other, but the norm tends to trend towards one or the other.

As for ABO, I would argue that's more because QQ has a sense of taste.

It's a bad sense of taste, it's mostly broken in fact, but it stops short of that bastard child of furries and teenagers having a bad idea of what biology actually is.

One thing you'll notice, if you're particularly bored one day and feel like checking is that ABO's popularity is a lot higher on sites without age checks or a somewhat enforced age limit.

As if we needed more proof that children ruin everything they touch.

Probably less 'children' and more 'perverts trying to groom children' in this particular scenario.
…I'm not sure what you think child predators are getting out of demonstrating outdated understandings of lupine pack dynamics to kids, and I'm not sure I want to know.

The 'lupine pack dynamics' part is somewhere between 'irrelevant' and 'smokescreen'. The key factor is 'exposing the underaged to extreme sexual content'. By whatever would be considered 'extreme' in the current cultural zeitgeist.

A well-documented behavior of groomers in all times and places where molesting children is considered a crime to the general public.

... Also worth noting, those understandings are only outdated in wolves. They map pretty damn well to a certain primate that's prone to projecting its issues onto every available surface.

Can't tell if conspiracy theory bullshit or you've forgotten how horny teens get. The proliferation of ABO smut is almost certainly the result of virgins trying to write porn while learning the mechanics from other virgins, not a pedophile ring trying to push a particular brand of smut on kids.

You know... if you want to argue a counter-point, perhaps try arguing the point instead of relying upon insults and baseless accusations?

First: it isn't a 'conspiracy theory', and in fact I'm not even claiming there is a conspiracy. The overwhelming majority of groomers are independent actors, with little if any contact with one another. At most, one of them posts something that works on some website, and others imitate and refine.

That capacity to share strategies with strangers is hardly an unheard of behavior in homo sapiens. And to call it 'conspiracy' would make us all members of hundreds, perhaps thousands, of conspiracies.

Second: 'horny teens that know nothing about sex' is the fucking point. That's what attracts the pedophiles. Who then, again mostly independent of one another, are drawn to places where there are children to be exploited and cultivate the environment to their liking.

Another thing humans are pretty well documented in doing.

What probably happened was more one of them found an easy victim (either IRL or by stumbling across an enthusiastic consumer online) who was into this whole ABO thing in the early days, then said 'huh, I should let my buddies know'.

Not unlike what happened a few years back with people putting massive amounts of pornographic cartoons very much intentionally meant to look like ordinary young-child cartoons up on youtube using tags and presentations that would slot it into the same recommendations as Veggie Tales and My Little Pony clips.

To say nothing of the ones encouraging preteen girls to pose in bikinis.

When youtube finally caught on, they ended up deleting 'hundreds of accounts' and 'millions of videos'.

... Was that a conspiracy? No, not really. Oh, there were probably a handful of five or six-person teams involved here or there... but as a whole, no. Just groomers gonna groom.

There are actual published books of this A/B/O shit and one of the writers is an archetypal Karen/mean girl type and went full batshit on another few writers and...

It's pretty complicated and very wild. There are videos about it.

You will knot believe what you're hearing if you watch these.

Alpha, Beta, Omega, and especially Sigma mechanics are basically astrology for losers.

I'm sorry I didn't properly describe your conspiracy theory about how a kink this site doesn't like is proliferating on nominally-adult websites because of pedophiles.

Okay, fine, what term do you want me to use for 'completely unsubstantiated guesswork that blames innocuous behavior on sinister, predatory forces' without implying those sinister, predatory forces are secretly collaborating?

I'm sorry I didn't properly describe your conspiracy theory
See, now, this is why I rarely waste my time talking to you, and instead talk to the audience.

You'll never be convinced. You've got your religion, I'm not part of it.

So I talk around you. But you've given me nothing to base further talking off of, so I'll just wait patiently for you to have a point on the topic, rather than trying to insult me and hoping nobody will call you on the lack of substance.
