wasn't stardust the death-star codename? you may be confusing the fact that the tie project had it's funds diverted to stardust aka deathstar.
Yep, basically the death Star(Project Stardust) and the Tie-Defender program were fighting as Tarkin hated Krennic, so he was using it to put pressure on him, and when the laser was used on the planet it was being constructed on he fully backd it. (This is the Rogue one timeline, I like the Kyle timeline better)wasn't stardust the death-star codename? you may be confusing the fact that the tie project had it's funds diverted to stardust aka deathstar.
That's what I meant.wasn't stardust the death-star codename? you may be confusing the fact that the tie project had it's funds diverted to stardust aka deathstar.
Everything had its funding diverted to Stardust. Palps wanted his giant ball as soon as possible.
He would Vader HATED the Death Star as he saw it as both a waste of resources, men, and time, he literally says in the film "Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet, or even a whole system, is insignificant next to the power of the Force.'That's what I meant.
Vadar would support Thrawn in his tie program over the death star.
Not sure if your adding onto what he said, but it took a huge amount of the Empires GDP to construct it, is what he meant. It also cost tens of thousands of the Empire's best and more then a fleet of star destroyers
If Palpatine wasn't so far up his own ass, fanatically huffing his own farts, he'd have probably realized how stupid the Death Star is.
Why make an entire moon sized space station to destroy planets, when you can jut do it the old fashioned way with Railguns? It's not as though every planet in the Galaxy has a Planetary Shield, and the ones that do could probably be waited out given enough time and a sufficient blockade.
Unless the planet is self-sufficent, but how many planets in the Star Wars universe are truly self-sufficent?
Don't forget the Dark Troopers. It's always mind blowing the sheer amount of Superweapons the Empire built before Endor.
Like in total
3 Death Stars including that prototype.
Sun crusher
Orbital nightcloak
Worldcrafts
Resonance Torpedo Launcher
Two wave gravshoc
Project Nightwing
Hutt clone troopers.
Superlaser Star destroyers
Among soooo many others.
As for self-sufficent planets in the core very unlikely, but the futher out you go like the mid and outer rim you would probably find planets that are self-sufficent.
It would be theoretically possible. But he already has at least 3 biomes on his planet (water, plains and the jungle hell). He could also build habitats and factories for the explosive things. Or shipyards. But it will take some time until an asteroid is hollowed out to that extent. Also, another idea I had, when the miners finish clearing out a asteroid, there's basically a empty shell ready to be used, what if we use some for secret outposts in case of another invasion(basically they appear as normal asteroids until a enemy comes close and turrets pop out and shoot at them, maybe even a small fighter bay.), we could also string multiple of the bigger ones together, hollow them out and turn them into an amazing place to train troopers, as we could artificially make each one a different climate.
How much wasted money and man-hours do you think the Empire wasted on these superweapons which could have been put to better use building new ships, or better lasers for said ships, or newer armors and weapons for the army? It's always mind blowing the sheer amount of Superweapons the Empire built before Endor.

Hey, that's a neat quinky-dink, don't you think? As for self-sufficent planets in the core very unlikely, but the futher out you go like the mid and outer rim you would probably find planets that are self-sufficent.

Hey, that's a neat quinky-dink, don't you think?
The wealthy planets that most likely have Planetary Shields are all in the core and are not likely to be self-sufficient, whilst the poorer planets that are least likely to have Planetary Shields are all in the mid-to-outer rim and are more likely to be self-sufficient!
That's just neat that the wealth disparity between Rims can be modeled by how likely it is for planets to have PSs!
And it makes me question Palpatine's dumbassery even more.
Yeah, but the amazing thing about is we can control the biome, and change things about it, and we don't have the possibility of losing troopers to stupid things or the wild life, we could have a jungle asteroid that has controllable rain, wind and terrain, imagine one training drill being in a typhoon and another in mountainous terrain. It would be theoretically possible. Not exactly correct there's a bunch of planets in the Core that are self-sufficient, the big ones that aren't are ecumenopolis/hive worlds(Corusant), don't live on the planet for health/religious reasons, or are planets that are trade capitals and did a Middle East(Basically have more population than their native food supplies can accommodate).Hey, that's a neat quinky-dink, don't you think?

Maybe a use for one of the asteroids could be creating a Quarantine world, for any dangerous artifacts, research or organisms that the Governor will come across. Also, another idea I had, when the miners finish clearing out a asteroid, there's basically a empty shell ready to be used, what if we use some for secret outposts
Somewhat agree, but the reason for that one 0-0-0 is fucking stupid as hell, not only was Disney trying(and failing) to copy Hk-47 but the fact that it wasn't destroyed doesn't make sense. Hell, most things that can be quarantined can be destroyed, and those that can't/shouldn't can usually be safe kept by different groups with no problem(The Jedi and Sith relics).Maybe a use for one of the asteroids could be creating a Quarantine world, for any dangerous artifacts, research or organisms that the Governor will come across.
Keep anything dangerous as far away from the settled part of the system.
Yes. But by the time his troops need such facilities, he'll probably have already been promoted to MOFF. And the two years will already be over. And as an MOFF, he has completely different resources at his disposal to work with. At the moment, something like that is probably further down on his list.Yeah, but the amazing thing about is we can control the biome, and change things about it, and we don't have the possibility of losing troopers to stupid things or the wild life, we could have a jungle asteroid that has controllable rain, wind and terrain, imagine one training drill being in a typhoon and another in mountainous
I might be a bit muddy with the details but I think it's because she's kissing Tarkin's ass, or at the very least, Tarkin finds her useful. And you do not fuck with Tarkin. Wrinkly bastard is Palps favorite sociopath.
It's probably some weird subliminal indoctrination thing that their mother put them through given that this is Star Wars and all the sketchy R&D things the late Republic and early Empire had going on.That's the third sibling that carries around a rubber ball. Did they all develop the same habit of bouncing it to kill off time? Is it a way to reduce stress due to their upbringing?
Jesus Christ, why is this getting brought up so much? Most people don't default to kinslaying even if they are abusive dickheads, nevermind that the sisters don't seem to have been hurt nearly as badly by her.
I imagine it's because killing your own mother in reality isn't killing someone in Minecraft.
Yes, but a Moff needs a home system and he's already put a ton of work in on Minda, so its the obvious choice.Yes. She serves under Tarkin directly, they can't just kill her, the only one who could do so reasonably would be a Grand Admiral like Thrawn.
