Leaving out any mention of the supernatural means we would have to either lie about it or beat around the bush. The second one is unlikely to work against Sona, she's too shrewd to be taken in easily by most things we could say to her, and the first one we suck at because of our low Manipulation score. Since Issei already knows that Sona is a devil we should just cut to the chase and tell her we're doing something that will benefit devil society. Being honest will allow us to leverage the full weight of our First Presence Excellency against her.Megaolix said:So, arguments. Sona, if anything, will want to know why we want to do this, especially given the reputation. Then she'll want to know how we'll do it before giving approval, to make sure we're taking it seriously. At the very least, we need to answer those two matters.

I first tried picking out flour flowers that matched with the four virtues but the ones that come closest are not plants one would use in a floral display.
then i tried picking out flowers that represent traits the school would like to encourage and ran into the same problem.
I think it would be better if we came right out and brought devils into the discussion immediately. The school's most infamous pervert trying to put fertility charms on the front walk has all kinds of implications that we should probably squelch before they occur to Sona.Megaolix said:I'm not saying to leave out the shrine. But we should let Sona decide if she wants to bring the supernatural into the discussion.
Brandark said:We can go for the Jedi approach and make sure that everything we tell her is true , from a certain point of view.
We shouldn't bring up our knowledge about the supernatural aspect at all. Casually telling her about the fertility charms of the shrine should be enough to get her interested , and we can pretend to be a human who believes in the supernatural , but has no actual experience with it.
Today is the decisive day. It wasn't much, but you spent a couple of hours yesterday night preparing a rough outline of your project and how it should work, complete with the best plants to use.

Silversun17 said:okay here's what i'm thinking for a mix of flowers
Pink, purple, and violet tuilps
Bronze and white chrysanthemum
the display would ring the fountains with six planters. three would have tuilps and three would have chysanthemum and they would be set in an alternating pattern.
she likely knows about our involvement so hiding it is not a good idea.
the floral display is supposed to go around the school's fountain.Brandark said:Good choice . I would like to add Dianthus , Hydrangea and Dahlia as well . also , if possible we can ask for small pond in the middle of the garden , with Water Lilies in it.
I don't think she knows of our involvement . Rias wants to include us in her peerage. She won't like competition.
No, you need: I am letting you decide what Issei decided.Megaolix said:

Brandark said:Oh , OK. We can put the Water Lilies in the fountain itself , then.
I know, i tried to create a mix that symbolized the four virtues of exalted but none of them worked for a display around a fountain.ShadowAngelBeta said:Don't forget to take into account the various meanings Flowers can have, especially when you start mixing them and the order in which they are mixed and arranged.
Or we could go with the Nature Fertility aspect. Who wouldn't love to see a bunch of baby animals running around? Get a lot of female students there, then maybe we can spread it to those looking to start a family and have them pray there once that gets going. (Students would offer up prayer and donations without expecting much in return, while the older women would and thus would require power being spent on them as well.)Fellgar said:Okay we should definitely drop all exalt related theme's for this. We aren't trying to lay a claim to the school or anything with this. Its all about drawing in more people to the shrine. Not stroking our own ego.
So a shrine dedicated to fertility? Not going to go over well with a highschool audience without a lot of creative reintrepreting. So we should rephrase it more as a get your significant other more interested in your or simply making it a great spot to just look at and drop the undertones entirely for something else.
The shrine should have flowers blooming 12 months out of the year and get butterflies gallor to gather I'm thinking, a great breading ground for beautiful butterflies to congregate around to awe the people?
I don't know a thing about flowers so I leave that up to experts but we should refrain from the fertility aspect. The only place I could think of that being a proper draw for is setting up at all teh local clinics or local hospital. specifically teh clinics with a specialty in child birth?
