Honestly I'm not even sure we are going to get a familiar, and suggesting thinking like Tentacle monsters is not only unlikely *Rias and the others would blast it just like they did the slime in the mainline* but what's wrong with the Dragon-ship he normally gets, that thing once its grown will become its own realm, that's nothing to sneeze at.

And if we get something else and well we should remember we are even more powerful then normal Issei, that's likely going to come into thing, getting a low level familiar is unlikely I would say, with the way our lucks running I'm expecting us to run into Tiamat AND the Hydra mentioned, here's hoping things don't go do badly /laugh

and if we end up with a Youkai for a familiar I'd vote for a kitsune myself ^^ but there you go.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if Issei's soul or magic had a residue or lasting imprint of his aura. Not much, but enough that as we go looking for a familiar that whoever we attract will be someone who is as agreeable to Issei's temperament & Sacred Gear as they are to the solar exalt inside of him.

I think it's entirely possible that a high level creature might seek Issei out because they misread his aura as that or interested in the distinct "feel" of his soul.

The likelihood of them agreeing to be bound to us upon looking at us, though, seems low.

Having read up on Tiamat I would completely agree she would make a lolzy familiar, if only because it would be amusing if someone else could talk to one of the voices in Issei's head.

On a side issue, do we ever want to be able to project Bright's presence? To make her visible to our group? Is there an easy charm or DxD spell to accomplish that.

I can just imagine the scene where they first meet & Bright making her view of Issei's status as a Solar Exalt clear & that she takes a dim view of Rias's efforts to add us to her peerage.

not that I am aware of, one of the big things about this school is its only just turned Co-Ed, so there is a vast disparity between male and female student numbers.

I'm partial to getting a Doppleganger type of familiar. Especially if it can save templates. Either that or the ship like before from canon. Being able to fly would be cool. We could get a daiklave and use it like a surfboard hiding the ship underneath~!

The original Japanese word is "Akuma" which is a sort of demon. In DxD "demon" is a broad term used by humans to designate dangerous creatures.

Right. Beside each quest in the side continuity I will add when they happened. This should make reading easier, like canon DxD side stories.

Alexander I'd advise you to not to just give the readers everything they want There are a lot of crossover elements in play & you need to be careful you don't add too many. Removing them is much harder then writing them in/

An excellent of that is another quest in NSFW "Who Doesn't Wants to Rule the world" where the QM put too many elements in & has let certain elements overshadow their quest.

To being enslaved by the faerie's spell into being the maid of a neet in a mansion full of maids & now we have to plan our escape. The newet plot seems to now involve a mysterious eight maid I care very little about.

Keep us on track. Don't indulge our every whim because players are not always good at planning out how getting multiple things we ask for might fit together. Problem of too many cooks ruins a soup.

It does work pretty well for a lot of elements. Let's be careful about going overboard.

In retrospect another in another apparent Urban Fanasy/Kitchen sink setting still managed to lose control of the quest.

I'm now nervous about going off the rails with this quest. I don't want to pressure Alexander to getting us some awesome familiar. Let's see where the plot goes.

He's managed it really well for now. I'm not saying we can't add elements, but let's have Alexander ask us when it's relevant otherwise he'll feel pressure to add in a certain familiar. We can have that discussion, but let's not have it till, say, it's clear we get a choice.
