I will become God-Harem King of the World! [Highschool DxD/Exalted] (CLOSED)

I really look forward to the char sheet of that familiar to see what it can do... hopefully the binding ritual here (if one is necessary) is faster than the on in the Xanderdorf quest. ;)

[X] Second Overdrive

Hmm i guess the name depends on whether its a boy or a girl raven, unless it already has a name... that'll be kind of awkward to figure out.

Can't we just ask it for its gender?

It is intelligent so if we go "are you a boy" it could nod or shake it's head to answer the question.

Eh, probably just me. I just imagine Issei going.

"Are you a boy, or girl bird?"
With the raven looking at us with lidded eyes that pretty much say 'What do you think?'

Seriously? There are Charms for that, to acquire a Familiar, but I can't find how an Exalt normally do it. Eternity's link is useful, but if there is something that is more complex than "give it some Essence" I would really like to know.

I'd also like to note, we will likely end up with both of these in the future going by what is said, which means we should probably learn to use a bow along with Kiba /laugh

Spirit-Tied Pet
Cost: 10m, 1wp, 1xp; Mins: Survival 3, Essence 2; Type: Simple (Dramatic Action)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Touch
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Friendship with Animals Approach
Required for Charms: None

Since the First Age, the Lawgivers have forged magical bonds with their chosen beasts. The target of this Charm must be an animal loyal (see Exalted, p. 175) to the Exalt. Normally, the Exalt wins this loyalty through persuasion and the use of the Friendship with Animals Approach. The Exalt can only use this Charm if he has no familiar, and using it on a new animal for the first time removes his Familiar Background entirely. This Charm is a dramatic action requiring several hours of interaction with the target. It increases the Exalt's Familiar Background by one dot, to a maximum of five. When the Exalt's Familiar Background reaches a sufficient level to have the animal as a Familiar, it becomes his familiar. For example, a tiger requires three applications of this Charm to become the Exalt's familiar, and two more to give the Exalt the abilities conveyed by Familiar 5.

As far as DxD wise I imagine it involve a magical circle, everything else seems to /laugh

As for Exalted I guess its up to the story teller to fluff it as I can't find anything online or off -_-

[X] Second Overdrive

Awesome fight was awesome. And now we have our very own Nuclear Raven, nice. Now to determine the gender and find a name.

I really want to call it Okuu, but I'm not sure it would like it. At all. It certainly doesn't look like as much as a airhead/birdbrain as Utsuho is.

Presumably you use social charms. The two familiar charms are notoriously shitty, possibly because the familiar background is itself notoriously shitty.

Consider that three background dots in Familiar get you something like a horse or a tiger, but for those same three dots you could get a three-dot Manse, 100 loyal human soldiers, or an artifact sword that's older than any of the modern nations of the world. Ours is better because our new friend is clearly magical, but that would be something like a five-dot familiar or a one-dot Ally.

For the raven's name , how about Roäc , after the leader of the ravens of Lonely Mountain from 'The Hobbit'?

All things considered with the way our luck runs, and the whole Dragon Aura bullshit attraction The Sun Raven is probably female, in which case I'd say we suggest Okuu as an option unless it already has a name it prefers.

Also I just realised something, Abe Kiyome is going to plotz when she meets our new Familiar /snirk

[X] Second Overdrive

We have no Archery, and it's not a caste/favored skill. Plus, defensive overdrive pools are incredibly useful.

Seriously. That raven is a character in its own right, after all, and even the boosted gear got one. No clue about the mechanics, though.

Wow. Our familiar is smarter then us.

Any, I've been wondering. What relationship, if any, was there between Death the Horseman and the Grim Reapers?

To be fair, it is a magical creature of unknown age. It could be a century or three old for all we know. Besides, Issei isn't an idiot, at least not anymore. If he only had one int, then I could see us going all Pinky and the Brain with it.
