If I decide to vote for "conquer the world" options it's not going to be because some long-dead crazy person told me to. Bright's ability to influence us should be minimized as much as possible given that she's a First Age Solar and therefore is completely bugfuck insane.

Besides, Issei doesn't particularly want to conquer the world, he just wants his harem of cute girls.

That is something we have left open for now, though i would be all for some good ol' world domination.
And by world, i don't mean just the human world but all the heavens and hells and other supernatural societies there are in the setting.

But in any case, listening to Bright Shattered Ice is not a good thing. Even by the standards of the First Age, she's fucking ancient, a survivor of the Primordial War with all that that implies who takes her name from a Primordial that she killed.

So yeah. She's old, dangerous, and far beyond anything even remotely close to human morality.

Have a supernatural branch? though we can have the little sisters of the rulers of hell in our harem if we handle things right. then we would just need to have a celestial congregant within the harem.

The Greek gods exist in setting with Hades being called out in particular as one of the most powerful beings in setting.

As for how we handle the Supernatural in a corporate route, Social Charms.

I seriously doubt he'd be able to. Michael is mostly limited to maintaining the system set up by God. Radically altering it so that Angels don't Fall(if that's not innate to them) would probably be beyond what he's capable of.

And even if it was? It probably sets a pretty bad precedent.

Rias probably has a good manipulation so it's not like we are completely screwed.
I was referring to how earlier in the thread a lot of people were against us putting any points into manipulation because it would break Issei's character.

I think we could just become so gloriously magnificent that people will want to follow us without any underhanded means, though I'm not very familiar with Exalted's system (i own the 2nd edition core book but have never played the game) so i don't really know how well that would work.

You know, why not try with the Girl called Abe who is of an old Family of Yokai Tamers (With Yokai being intelligent and often humanoid, does that mean she has a Horde of Konekos?) and possibly Onmyouji. (Is that Name a reference to Abe no Seimei? I thought that his descendants were Tsuchimikado) I am sure she can get us some teachers in the local Magic style as a thank you for the help.

If we become a strong magician, we could even become an ally and equal with Rias instead of her Servant. It is said that making a contract between magicians and devils is a coming of age ceremony for a devil and very useful for both sides. We could form our own magical cabal or something like that. It is even likely that we get some nice allies. Aside from Abe-san from the Tennis Club, there is Asia who won't have a reason to become a devil if we manage to save her without her dying. (And I wouldn't want to talk her into it because she would be incapable of praying or stepping into a church and that is something important to her) Irina would probably also think quite a bit better of us if we are not a devil and Xenovia only became Ria's servant because Issei was one.

Not bullshit. It explictly states that people with pre existing power traits are less likely to Exalt. It repeatedly states that the higher your heiritage rating, the greater your penalty to raising your essence as an Exalt.

The solution to that is to learn Solar powers with XP, dumbass. Not dabble in out of type magic. Simple fact. As a rule of thumb, A Solar learning out of type magic is always learning stuff that is worse than his native magic. Just spend effort on Solar charms.

It's a moot point, as we are not a Devil, nor are we half Devil. We cannot become half devil. Once you are a Solar, only something on par with Akumadazation can make you a half caste. So we are not getting Devil magic. We have Solar charms. Suck it up.

No name-calling. Ever. Discussion is all well and good but I don't tolerate insults, of any genre.

I was keeping it a surprise but I will confirm it: yes, you can learn devil magic. Just like a magician can learn magic. I quote:

What does this mean? It means that you can learn the magic of another race, but you will not use it the same way. Magicians use Intelligence, Lore and Occult to make magic happen. So Issei can learn devil magic, and make no mistakes Devils know how to teach them to human magicians.

The most important thing to remember is: Issei is a Solar, yes, but this isn't Creation. So the native powers aren't treated as Charms and Sorcery and thus follow their own rule. They may be adapted once Issei learn them, but the Exaltation Reality Engine=DxD World interaction is not completely fluid.

Beside there is a reason I made Issei a Twilight, beside the 'it fits him best'. Do you know what you're good with? Magic and making things. Use it.

She is not an Onmyouji. There is a Onmyouji mage at Kuoh but it was mentioned only once in a side story. So if you want to explore non canon avenues expect people that doesn't appear in the novel (like characters shamelessly plagiarized from other series or minor OCs).

That's a good way to get started.
Our exaltation should make learning the local way of spellcasting rather easy and it is better suited for personal combat than exalted spells. Even if she can't teach us, I'm pretty sure she knows where to get related books and such (she mentioned she was not good at anything but her taming). It would also be completely in character for Issei to pursue once he finds out that the beasts can be girls.
On the long run, contracting Rias as a magician would give us an excuse to hang out with her peerage without tying us to them, allowing us to devote our time to things we want to get done instead of wasting it on mundane errands devils are required to do. This would also allow us to start shaping our own group (Asia, Xenovia, Irina and whoever else we manage to convince to follow us) which would be beneficial for us when we get started with whatever path of world domination decide to take (it will happen eventually, unless Alexander gets bored and decides to drop this quest before we get that far).

With enough time, maybe we can create our own way of converting mortals into our immortal servants like angels' Brave Saints and devils' Evil pieces. Sure, it would be a long project that would take years but it would let us recruit human girls into our harem without the worry of them dying of old age while we live for hundreds, maybe thousands of years.

I have seen much stuff involving Yokai and Onmyouji.

Nurarihyon no Mago is very much a good choice. I loved that Manga and I am very sad that it had such a strange sudden ending. Other suggestions would be for example Ao no Exorcist, Shounen Onmyouji, Wagaya no Oinara-sama and Kaze no Stigma also had some elements that could be useful.

Rosario + Vampire and Natsume's Book of Friends have some interesting Yokai for the most part.

Edit: There is also a relatively new manga called Sousei no Onmyouji which is looking very good currently. Shounen series, so suitable for this. For someone that I personally would love to see as a Yokai, that would be Kuroageha from Mushibugyo.

Though if we become connected with the magical Society, there is a good Chance that we will also run into western Magic users.
