Red Skill - Sad Orphan Horse Vibes.
That's basically why she keeps getting some of the more responsible older umas checking on her, only to find her being fairly well-adjusted, even if she's doing something rather insane by their standards.
Shirogane has received four levels of skill hint for Lone Wolf
Unfortunate that this skill isn't terribly useful most of the time.
Ah...she has the same problem as Mihono Bourbon.
To some degree, though not exactly the same, as Mihono Bourbon has difficulty expressing herself, while for Shirogane, it's that when she does try to express herself, it makes her look a bit psycho to other people.
Shirogane with her monster stamina.
In game that's 20% stamina growth huh
Game wise she'd probably be 20% Guts, 10% Wits. She has a lot of base stamina, but a lot of her endurance is from Guts. If she was in game, Shirogane would be an easy trainer to train, but a very risky support card.
You dont want to get Aston Machan'd i dont remember but she has an actual supernatural oblivion kind of curse right? people dont remember her for some reason.
There actually is a bit of this going on, since Shirogane did not race on the JRA in real life, her classmates sometimes forget about her if she isn't the focus of attention, especially on campus.
Man i wanna see her ult soon, its gonna be 2 utls for her normal race track and racewear or just 1 like a 3 star.
Her first ult is probably running from a train.
I see you. Real subtle, that.
Shirogane goes to shoe store to look for glue to fix her old running shoes. The owner is appalled that a Tracen student doesn't have a good pair of running shoes, so gives her a pair.
Lastly, holding a coherent conversation while sprinting? That's some absurd breath control. I could never.
That's why Fuji backpedaled, since it became obvious that Shirogane was really not going too overboard.
Tanyorse: "I'm not managing to increase my top speed; am I really that untalented?"
Kiseki: "That's a monster, I literally cannot believe my eyes?!"
Though she still thought Shirogane was a bit crazy for doing that kind of exercise for something like two hours. It will seem a bit weird to her to hear Rudolf and Air Groove mention Shirogane not being particularly motivated to race, since Fuji has only seen Shirogane training so far, and hasn't observed how she doesn't see races as a huge deal.
Fuji: "What do you mean she isn't motivated? She does training that'd I probably break my legs trying to do."
Air Groove: "Well.,..she doesn't really
want to win. Racing seems to more of just a job to her."
Fuji: "Oook, I'm a little bit scared what she'd do when she's really motivated..."
Clearly her musical talent lies in opera.
Shirogane would probably be quite good as a death metal vocalist, or other genres that involve yelling.
Is this supposed to be "far" instead of "fair"?
Correct, should be fixed now, thanks.
Especially since she's in a situation where she was given this opportunity vs getting in through her own merit.
Strictly speaking, Shirogane did pass the entrance exam on her own merits, but the recommendation from Toujou-san did help get her foot in the door, as otherwise she'd be completely outside the usual talent scouting pipeline.
Not only is she training but shes getting paid and free food from it? Shiro will likely join goldships gang as the generator horse haha!
The Gold family must learn to fear the Pale Horse.
I'm confused here. I get how Shirogane saw the posters, but how did she get emails she apparently wasn't supposed to get? Is someone intentionally including her in them for some reason, or was there some sort of weird accident? I'm not sure what the point of this little bit of the exchange is, and why it's included rather than just discussing the posters and talking with Tojou-san
The Emails may be have been forwarded by her Trainer. Remember her Trainers team has a lot of the student council etc on it so she might just be forwarding relevant staff emails to her team.
Yeah, she got the email forwarded to her by Toujou-san. It's just a case where she is in the unusual position of a first year already with a dedicated trainer, which gives her a slight advantage here.
I think you are underestimating how much experience she has gained from her previous lives compared to her schoolmates who are actual teenage girls.
To be fair, the other umas have past life experience too, but that's mostly running related, and not nearly as extensive as Shirogane's memories.
And the idea that Orzel is a reincarnated warhorse (particularly from ww1 rather than the middle ages) rather than a racehorse feels like something that someone might come up with before long, if her trainer doesnt suspect it already.
On the War Horse issue, remember that modern Umas are based on modern horses from our world. So war-Umas are not odd to read about in history books, but finding one in this age would be like finding a fully trained samurai that has dedicated their life to Bushido.
But yeh any Umas based on warhorses would be at least a century old considering Warhorses really died out as a concept in ww1 with the adoption of the machine gun. I guess she could be from a line that was originally bred for cavalry, but considering how many generations ago that would have been?
If Shirogane was born in Poland, or another country where cavalry was a bigger part of the cultural memory, they'd pick her out as being of a warhorse kind of uma much more quickly. Japan, however, does not have that strong of a cultural touchstone about cavalry, so it was mostly overlooked, not helped by her parents both being human, so some of her unusual mannerisms wasn't picked out as being unusual.
That said, since most of the umas are reborn into vaguely similar timeframes as their irl counterparts, Shirogane is basically respawning later than she should have due to Being X messing things up again.
I am curious what Stay Gold sees when looking at her. Other than the probable attraction I mean.
Stay Gold is wondering why she gets the sense Shirogane isn't supposed to be there.
While the emails being accidentally forwarded by her trainer makes sense, it would be a far funnier explanation if her networking with the security team resulted in them making absolutely certain she knew (as an undercover security guard).
The other funny explanation is that her email uses Suzuki Shirogane, so some admin thought she was a trainer and not a uma because of the human name, then put her on the trainer email list.
Here's another that fits here I found.
I would not be surprised if Shirogane gets pressured into wearing an outfit like this at some point.
