"I don't think he noticed how quickly his technicians work, certainly not on New Avalon," Admittedly parts had been sourced locally but it had taken the various techs a week or just over working around the clock in order to provide the demonstration designs... the 70 ton Longswords had been brought and presumably, she had to assume there had been some spare parts it was one of Clay's DropShips and it had been his JumpShips that had carried them... but regardless the machines demonstrated on New Avalon had been put together quickly, and with such rapidity that it might as well have served as secrecy. "So you're right," She was still dancing around the matter of the growing form in orbit. The Shipyard was 'visible' in hte sense it was basically a new star in the heavens above Sakhara now, you could see the light reflected off of it in the night's sky.
TFTC! I do hope Alexandria was there to see the forging, otherwise it might just be the Essence's ability to be rationalized at work. It'd be entertaining though. Even with a conservative assumption of just 1 of each new design were made for the demonstration in that week, that's about 485 tons worth of mech being manufactured even excluding the Longsword. For comparison, by sarna Corean's factory on New Avalon can churn out a steady 130 Valkyrie per year, with a peak of nearly 200/year at their best, so at most no more than 4 Valkyries/week or 116 tons worth of mech. Henry's techs would somehow be 3-4 times faster than a fully automated factory line, albeit without a clear number of the personnel nor what tooling they used. Heh, I imagine people like Team Banzai will probably be salivating for an introduction to get a look at their machinery and techniques.
Ah, the Atropos, AKA the SM1 but Hell's Horses, AKA the Clan Saladin. Nothing like having a hovertank flit around and opening up two 20 point holes in a Drac mech's rear.
