Adam Taurus. Was tired.
He'd spent years running on nothing but rage at humanity convinced of their evil for their betrayal of him.
And then he was betrayed by Faunus. Left alone by the person he trusted most in the world, and when he went back and told others of her betrayal they brushed him off.
Adam was done. It wasn't humans he couldn't stand, it was just people. So Adam took his blade and marched into the mountains without a backwards glance or a word to anyone.
It's been about three years and Adam was a much different man. His rigid posture had relaxed without his constant anger and burden of leadership.
His hair has grown out and lost its spikiness when it reached shoulder length. Haircuts seem low in the priority list, it gets cut when it gets in the way.
His eyes still retained their sharpness but their wasn't any anger in his gaze, just discipline.
Living alone in the mountains had its benefits.
Well not totally alone.
"Dad we caught a boar!"
"Didn't even see us!"
Two little girls who did more for me in three years than all the comrades and togetherness in the white fang.
Crystal a little antelope faunus, quick as can be without aura. The little amber eyed, green haired girl was a menace.
Juniper while calmer and easier to catch was no less a troublemaker. Despite not having quite a few advantages that her sister did (after all she didn't have night vision). Still the blonde haired green eyes tomboy gave him a few grey hairs. (Figuratively. He checked.)
"And how did you kill this boar? Hopefully not with the knives I told you not to touch?"
The girls like always conveniently forget rules when they're trying to be helpful or have fun.
"No stories after dinner tonight and you both get to help me dress the boar."
"Eeew but daaaaaad it's all sticky!"
"And smelly!"
"That's why it's a punishment girls. Now go get your raincoats (a purchase from a rare trip to civilization) this is going to be a messy one."
As he watches the little girls race to their small mountain cottage Adam can't help but think that pulling the two surviving little girls out of a ruined camper was the best decision he ever made.
The second being coming to the mountains in the first place. Peace agrees with Adam.
But unfortunately a old unwelcome figure was about to bring him war, as team RWBY lost while away from beacon stumble across his cottage and daughters.
