[RWBY] RWBY Shorts

-Yang has to do community service, and Jaune is assigned as her minder. They bond as they work at an orphanage he volunteers at.

Given how Yang reacts to little children, Jaune will probably have to drag her out of the orphanage, before she tires to adopt all of them like she's related to Bruce Wayne.

-Ruby unlocks the ability to see through clothing with her Silver Eyes. Hoo boy.

Shifting between silly and serious. Especially if Jaune is the "Raggedy Knight". On one hand a lot of funny comments about people's choice in underwear (Yang wears strawberry print panties) and commenting on various scars.

-Ruby's Crescent Rose is lost in a training mission gone wrong. She's absolutely miserable and blames herself. Jaune and Pyrrha go out to find it for her!

For those who like Jaune/Ruby/Pyrrha threesome - may be a good tale of bonding. The simple retrieval turns into camping trip where characters share their skills to survive and bond over. Ruby used to go camping with Tai, for example (he insisted teaching both her and Yang how to do so after the whole "lots in woods" debacle); Jaune knowns how to cook on a trip and Pyrrha ends up teaching Ruby how to fight without her signature weapon.
And since Pyrrha already training Jaune, Ruby might join their sessions at Beacon too. With results as lewd as you want to write them.

-Team SSSN work with the police department of Vale, and are soon up to their elbows in cop show cliches!

Due to their previous issues (the club, the docks, being a terrorist) RWBY have to do a scared straight program and spend 1 months in a jail up in the mountains (can't have something that negative in the middle of society).

Welcome to the Stone Ocean penitentiary girls.

Lately, a rather preachy theme pops up in his fics. The Arc Corp is biggest offender: there's a 4-time recycling of the same type of character. And the same preaching about "nice guys" popped up in Old Crow.
Couer has a late of great works man, and I even sympathise with his condition(seriously his author notes are 80% of the time filled with some problem in his life)

But more often than not, he comes as an old cranky man, who is just done with youngsters.

The crazy thing is, I absolutely loved how he handled complex socio-political topics in Raise but lately it seems he is just diluting everything and going with tropes rather than that Coeur-brand of intelligent analysis.

It's even more prevalent in his Wise as an Old Qrow fic where he has pretty much treated a secret service in the most clichéd and movie esque way.

Honestly it is better for his mental and physical health that he take a break from writing to get some fresh perspective and new things to write about.

Councilman Arc New
It was supposed to be a joke. It was just a bit of humor on his part. There was an empty seat on the Vale council and as a bit of fun he had put his name in. Then the scandal had erupted leaving him the only 'valid' candidate on the ticket for that seat. Now...Now he was a councilman. What was he going to do? What would Shiro do? Right laugh his ass off and say something to the effect better thee than me. Arturia? No she and Auntie Nero would be the worse. At least things were quiet now.

"Jaune!"

He froze at the voice. Turning he saw a smiling Cardin and Velvet walking over to him. Cardin stuck his hand out and Jaune quickly shook it. "Allow me to be the first to congratulate you Councilman. I didn't think you had it in you."

A flash of light and Velvet held her camera up. "The papers are going to love this."

'FUCK' It took all Jaune's willpower to keep the smile on his face.

- - - -

Headmaster Ozpin met with Jaune. The older man wore a wry smile as he walked into Jaune's new office.

"Congratulations, Mister Arc," he greeted him, "Or rather, Councilman Arc. I knew you would achieve great things, but even I never suspected how far you would go."

Jaune groaned.

"Headmaster, can't we rule this invalid or-or something? This isn't what I want to do with my life!"

Ozpin slowly shook his head.

"I'm afraid I cannot," he said, "There are laws to prevent the early suspension of your term in special elections, as they were written for emergency situations. Short of scandal, serious illness, injury, or death? You're stuck for two years."

Jaune moaned. Ozpin chuckled.

"Still, have no fear. You can continue your education on the side. Indeed, this may be a boon. Budget cuts have made non-combat focused classes a rarity at Beacon. In the old days, Hunter Commanders had to be able administrators as well as fighters. Your example might help Beacon out."

Jaune gave Ozpin a deadpan expression.

"You want a budget increase, don't you?"

Ozpin smiled and shrugged.

"It would be nice."

Jaune sighed.

"I'll have to do a proper audit of the Academy's finances first."

Ozpin raised an eyebrow.

"Is our current auditing not up to snuff?"

"You tell me," Jaune deadpanned, "Why is there money for training robots and payments to keep RWBY out of jail for their vigilante work, but no coffee in the cafeteria?"

Ozpin was silent. He sipped his mug.

"Touche, Councilman," Ozpin stated. "I did bring you a surprise though: Your security detail. It will be a rotating assignment of several Hunters-in-Training with a licensed Hunter."

Jaune smiled.

"Oh? Anyone I know-?"

"JAUNE!" Ruby cried, bursting into the room and tackling Jaune in a hug, "YOU OKAY?!"

"GAH!" Jaune cried out, slammed out of his chair.

Weiss, Blake and Yang entered, followed by Pyrrha, Ren and Nora. Nora grinned and held up her hammer.

"We thought you'd been taken by the government! So we were gonna overthrow it!" She pouted. "Until Pyrrha and Weiss made me leave my Fire Dust grenades!"

"He wasn't taken by the government! At least, in that way," Weiss scoffed, as Jaune got back up with Ruby still hugging him. Yang grinned and leaned over the table.

"Good on you, VB. You gonna need a hot secretary? I know a gal who could apply~."

Jaune blushed bright red.

"Yang!" Ruby growled, "Don't be all weird!"

"It's called puberty, Rubes, you'll hit it eventually," Yang said with a wink, as Jaune coughed. Weiss groaned.

"Don't be so crass, Yang! He has a very serious job to perform and there are people out there who will try to kill him!" She smiled genially at Jaune. "I would be happy to assist you in your new work, Jaune."

"Why are you suddenly being nice to him?" Pyrrha asked flatly. Weiss flushed.

"W-Well... Um... He's proven that he's got a great deal of potential?"

Blake scoffed.

"You're so transparent! Typical Schnee ambition and deception." She then slid into Jaune's lap, shoving Ruby out of it.

"HEY!" Ruby cried. Jaune blinked.

"Uh... Blake? What are you doing?"

"I have a lengthy proposal for legislation regarding Faunus rights, and it would be easier for both of us to read it this way," Blake said innocently. Ruby scowled, as did Weiss, Yang, Nora, and Pyrrha.

"While sitting in his lap? How typically Menagerian of you," Weiss sneered.

Arguments broke out. Jaune looked to Ozpin in desperation.

"Headmaster?!"

Ozpin sipped his mug, and shrugged.

"I'm sure you'll work it all out."

"Uh... Blake? What are you doing?"

"I have a lengthy proposal for legislation regarding Faunus rights, and it would be easier for both of us to read it this way," Blake said innocently. Ruby scowled, as did Weiss, Yang, Nora, and Pyrrha.

Shows she's daughter of a government official too - she managed to write down that legislation in the short time since Jaune's election. Someone really should point that out.

Jaune ".....wait a minute. You just want me to erase all your traffic tickets, don't you?!?"

Yang - "I have only have a few...."

Ruby - "Yang."

Yang - "....dozen."

Jaune ".....wait a minute. You just want me to erase all your traffic tickets, don't you?!?"

Yang - "I have only have a few...."

Ruby - "Yang."

Yang - "....dozen."

Jaune: "Yang, I can't just erase my friend's juvenile records! It would be unethical! And I'm already under enough pressure as it is!"

Yang: nods "I understand." She begins to undo her top

Jaune: "Wha-Yang?! What are you doing?!"

Weiss: "YANG!"

Yang: "What? It's a fair and equal exchange!" pulls off her jacket "Quid pro quo, right? Besides, you're stressed. And single. And hunky."

Jaune: "It's-It's still unethical!"

Weiss: "And immoral!"

Ruby: "And-And rude!"

Pyrrha: "Seriously!"

Yang: smirk "Oh~? How would it not be then?"

Jaune: "If you were my-my girlfriend... No, it would still be unethical!"

Yang: "Well~... How about I do some community service to get the record erased~?"

Jaune: "I mean... I think you can do that legally? And you could consider this your community service?"

Yang: beams, hugs him "Works for me! Let me start riiiight on that!"

Jaune: "Uh... How?"

Yang smiles... Takes Jaune's hand... And places it on her chest.

Jaune: "Wha-?!"

Ruby, Pyrrha, Weiss: "YANG?!"

Yang: "What? Touching Boobs lower everyone's blood pressure!"

Jaune: "NOT MINE!"

Has anyone ever considered a fic where both Ozpin and Salem are bullshitting everyone?

Like the gods still made them immortal as a punishment but Salem doesn't actually have command over all the Grimm that started spawning. They just don't bother trying to kill her since they know she's immortal.

The ones we see her command are just ones she took a few hundred years to train like regular animals.

The gods did bring Ozma back with his reincarnation thing but didn't actually tell him to kill Salem.

They just told everyone else at the time why there was no magic and why they were leaving. They figured having the entire world hating you was a good punishment+ with only each other as consistent company for eternity they'd eventually get sick of each other.

So Salem and Ozpins big plan was to distract everyone from hating them they cooked up the evil queen and cursed hero idea. And every few hundred years they take a brief vacation with each other.

Whenever someone (like summer) finds out their secret they drug them and move them into the retirement home in Salems basement where they stay. Drugged up to the gills to the point they think they're in their 80's and live somewhere called Florida waiting for non-existent grandkids to call.

Until in typical RWBY fashion it gets blown wide open cause canon Jaune learns all this from the Blacksmith and is on a warpath.

Where's that comic of V4!Yang asking if a drunk Jaune wants to touch her boobs because touching boobs makes everybody feel better?
Is one of these the right one?

Taiyang: "He's a doctor's son and a Councilman? Ruby, date him now!"
Yang: "Oi, what about me?"

Taiyang: "Come on Yang, there's no way you could romance him!"

Yang: "WHAT?! ARE YOU SAYING I CAN'T ROMANCE A BOY?! I'LL ROMANCE HIM SO HARD WE'LL GET MARRIED!"

Ruby: "WHAT?! NOT BEFORE ME YANG!"

Taiyang: Just as planned... Kukuku...

Why Does a majority of the fandom ignore this?!!!!

That is not an acident mark, that is legit how people used to (and still do in some places) do this to fucking cattles!

An honest to God Brand right on the FUCKING EYE and people just happily ignore this shit?

As if all of Adam's Work is completely null because of his obsession with Blake that they invalidate the factors that led to this.

And if Adam's story is to be believed(which I have no reason to not believe) he isn't the only one this shit happened to?

Noooooo, let's just focuse on the USA parallels and make sure our Hillary Clinton insert wins the election?

Seriously, Yang and Blake killing Adam is not a heroic moment or them growing closer, I am genuinely scared of these girls. What else are they capable of ignoring?

I wish at times like these that more series would be like Naruto that deal with the complex background behind a Villain. People are really just comfortable to watch the villain die off without dealing with their past.

-Ozpin was betting on RWBY to be his next generation troubleshooting team. Suppose Ironwood saw JNPR and tried to cultivate them as his? Jaune being an able tactician who can see the bigger picture would appeal to a general's sensibilities. Ren's stoicism and Nora's destructiveness would too, and Pyrrha's incredible overall abilities would complete the package.

Now JNPR and RWBY are in competition with one another, which could be very interesting.

Ironwood: "And here's Team JNPR rescuing a kitten from a tree."
Qrow: "How's that supposed to measure up with my girls and their partners?"
Ironwood: "In the time since this image went viral, we've had thousands of bowls of hot soup, knitted jackets and mittens, and well wishing letters hand delivered to our military outposts, our Council has approved a 25% raise for all military personnel, and I have this picture of Winter kissing Cadet Arc on the cheek for potential blackmail."

-Jaune's family sends him a care package, with some alcohol right from their brewery. Since Jaune is based on a French person, he's been having wine with his breakfast since he was six. So he's the only one who has any sort of tolerance for alcohol... Chaos ensues.interesting.

Weiss: "You brute! Beast! You make your mother cook your food instead of having it made in the food room?!"
Jaune: "The hell?"

Nora ends up timidly asking if she can have some, and ends up crying tears of happiness when she recognizes the taste of love in the food. So does Ren. It ends up with JNPR enjoying a nice private family breakfast every morning.

Cue Team RWBY trying to get into Team JNPR's private breakfasts, because Ruby immediately zoomed in on one of Nora's cookies and got addicted.

Even worse if Jaune's inspired to start cooking for his team, and RWBY's just smelling everything and drooling.

-Ruby's Crescent Rose is lost in a training mission gone wrong. She's absolutely miserable and blames herself. Jaune and Pyrrha go out to find it for her!

Blake absolutely drools over all the new friend fiction plots she has in mind.

Weiss: "You brute! Beast! You make your mother cook your food instead of having it made in the food room?!"

We need more of super sheltered Weiss. Imagine her horror at learning that the fruits Ruby loves to eat come from the filthy dirt.

Or thinking that a washing machine uses the same kind of soap as the sink.

Sure.
Let them have their "are we the bad guys?" mental breakdown right there, and then get immediately bisected by a raging berserker with a red katana.

imo It's reasonably easy to ignore morality when you are in the process of fighting to the death.

Maybe they could've had a "why did it have to be this way" scene while they're holding hands or hugging after putting him down.

Adam is a product of an abusive/torturous environment lacking meaningful support, followed by letting those angry feelings fester and then being enabled to act on that resentment to a lethal degree.
Which can by pinned at the feet of Jacques, if not His Shareholders, if not Atlas, if not the lingering racist sentiment or the world, if not Sienna and her White Fang that is quick to weaponize Adam's hate.

However, they decided to 'conveniently' forget the issue with Adam's background in favor of the more immediate issue of Adam trying to kill them!

It's kind of hard to wax philosophy and morality when you're dead.

I guess I went too irrational on that point and I concede that they took the best possible decision at that time.

Yet my main point that that moment was treated as a way to lay down the brickwork for Bumblebee by the writers and a moment for bravery and heroism by the fandom is what irks me.

It's a tragic moment, it should be treated as such and from here on out the story should have focused on dismantling SDC.

You don't just drop a bomb like that and go all willy nilly, Blake's entire character hinged on her radicle revolutionary mindset for Faunus and this could have served as a great moment for her to somehow amalgamate her ideals and her current growth post volume 3 to finally start taking care of this systematic fault in the world.

My problem is ultimately how such a grand and sensitive discovery was overlooked in the greater plotline while the Happy Huntress group and this entire US politics agenda took such a larger part from the story.

It was handled extremely terribly, no doubt. Adam needed to be a tragic villain, driven to becoming as bad if not worse than the monsters who did this to him and his people. His story should have been that of a charismatic leader who did care about his people's cause and Blake whose rage and hatred turned him into a monster. Instead they turned him into a psycho yandere just to make Bumblebee a thing in the worst possible way. Fuck Bumblebee and fuck Rooster Teeth for their hamfisted nonsense. It pandered to people who DIDN'T BUY ANYTHING and drove away the fans who still liked the show.

ideas

- Yang actually having an incredibly good pokerface, looking exactly like her cool and funloving partygirl persona.
She learned this by playing poker with her dand and uncle Qrow and playing when going out to some clubs.
This also means just how incredibly flustered and appreciative she is to any romantic gestures.

- Both Taiyang and Nick's default solution to most romance problems, like love triangles, is to suggest a threesome.
Taiyang was very popular with the ladies in his youth and went through the whole relationship mess with Raven and Summer, and feels everything would have been a lot easier if they just went full official ménage à trois.
Nick has similar experiances where he was also extremely popular with ladies, and generally has the mindset that he wants to make everyone happy.

- AU where Jaune can't have Aura because he has an anti-soul.
Isabel wasn't just against Jaune going to Beacon and didn't awaken his Aura because he's her baby boy, but because Jaune's Aura can't be unlocked.
Jaune is a blank/pariah, an extremely rare gene/mutation that causes the wavelenght of his soul to be inverted, making it cansel out all other Aura, Semblances, and even Dust and Magic within his presents.
Unfortunatly it doesn't do anything against Grimm, and also radiates a sense of unnatural "wrongness" that makes everyone else uncomfortable and uneasy in their presence, leading to many feel disgust and hatered towards them if they're not used to it.
Due too being treated like that by almost everyone, Jaune is incredibly loyal to any friends he does make.
Both Ozpin and Salem are very interestid in Jaune because he might potentially be finally able to end their immortality, and being the 3rd blank/pariah that they ever encountered in their immortal lifetimes, leading to Salem designating Jaune as "absolutely do not harm" (even kidnapping is avoided due to the possible risk of him getting hurt or worse).

- Yang cannot stop putting peoples faces in between her, very large, breasts, and she's incredibly huggy and touchy-feely (just like Ruby), which causes some issues like doing that at innapropreate moments, doing that whenever she's feeling even slightly protective, or others passing out from lack of breath (with some are unwilling to get out in time or indicate it..... stares at Jaune and Blake).

I do get it. A buddy of mine even wrote a whole essay on plot holes in Volume 6-7 (actually a comment for SB he asked me to translate, since my English is bit better), but we ranted about the plot swiss-cheese of V6 quite a lot after. And touched Adam's character as well, who would've been better antagonist for it, rather than Salem's agents and Robyn's idiocy.

I mean there was his declaration that Faunus doesn't need to just rise against oppression, but to take over. Could've been good to show difference between a revolutionary - something Adam is often hailed at, but really is not - and a man who lashes out at the world in anger, and just want to see it all burn. But, nope, let's get reduce him to a psycho-ex with a sharp stick and make V6 about elections and incredibly stupid "Good fellow" Robyn.

Sorry, I just felt back at the very rant me and my buddy had...

Councilman Arc 2 New
Jaune sighed heavily. He winced as he rolled his shoulders and looked around his office. He had been left alone to do some paperwork, which he supposed was nice. On the other hand, he had to do paperwork.

There was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" He called. The doors opened, and Yang strode in with a smile.

"Heyah, Ladykiller! Saw your speech today," she said. She sat down in a chair. "Though it was nice. Very short."

Jaune smiled back at her.

"Thanks. It's like everyone forgets the inaugural speeches of Councilmembers used to be like ten to twenty minutes," he chuckled. Yang shook her head.

"You knew that history but not the Faunus Revolution?"

"Er, well," Jaune rubbed the back of his head, "I always paid more attention to Nana Arturia's stories because they were a lot more exciting." He beamed. "What can I do for you?"

"I'm on your security detail for tonight!" Yang said cheerfully. "Pyrrha needed to do a photoshoot, Weiss is meeting her sis, Blake is meeting her parents, Ruby got detention with Oobleck, and Ren and Nora are..." She shrugged. "Got me."

"They do their own thing on the weekends," Jaune confirmed. He smiled warmly. "Thanks. I appreciate it. You always cheer me up."

"Well, someone's gotta keep you from getting too full of yourself," Yang winked, "Speaking of, you eaten dinner yet?"

"I was about to order something," Jaune said, turning back to his papers. "I gotta finish up this report to the press tomorrow-"

"Bah," Yang scoffed, putting a hand over his, "Come on. You gotta get out of here."

Jaune looked up in some surprise.

"You're acting... Well... I mean, friendly," Jaune said. Yang shrugged.

"Well... I did realize you're actually pretty cool, once you get past the awkward nerdy parts," she said with a smile. "And you're Ruby's best friend, and she'd have my head if I didn't make sure you were taking care of yourself."

Jaune smiled. He squeezed her hand back. Yang leaned forward.

"Besides, living a cushy life as a Councilman's Wife might be nice~," Yang teased. Jaune flushed.

"Y-Yang!"

"Aw, come on," Yang cooed, leaning forward with a sexy wink, "Don't tell me you haven't thought about it~. At least once? Unless you're into slim girls like Weisscream."

Jaune flushed.

"I mean... If I'm being honest? I thought you were out of my league," Jaune admitted. Yang blinked.

"Eh? But-But you went for Weiss?"

Jaune shrugged.

"I mean... That was kind of a pride thing, though I do think she's incredible. But you? You just... I love your smile, your energy, your eyes. You light up the room. If you rejected me... I dunno. It would hurt more." He smiled. "Plus, I mean, I didn't want Ruby to think I was her friend just to get your attention."

Yang flushed. She slowly nodded.

"I, yeah... Well..." She cleared her throat. "You really gotta get some air if you're getting all mushy like this, Stud. Come on! We should hit a diner, get some real food."

Jaune frowned.

"I dunno..."

"Come on," Yang winked, "I promise, I'll be your cute little bodyguard. I'll protect you. In and out of bed, if you'd like~."

"Yang," Jaune groaned, bright red. She giggled, and pulled him up to his feet. He sighed, but nodded as they headed out.

"All right. There's a diner close by. Let's hit it up, quickly."

"Relax, Councilman," Yang chuckled, "What could possibly go wrong?"
