Let's list out the many ways Yang is a first-class nerd, shall we?

--She's a Tabletop Gaming Aficionado (Word of Author)
--She's an unrepentant Motorhead
--She was the Valedictorian of her graduating year in Signal Academy (and this while raising Ruby on the side)
--She is well-versed and highly skilled in many types of video games
--She is the only one besides Weiss and Pyrrha that is consistently shown to pay attention in class
--She constantly shows an incredible mastery over language with constant use of puns (even if they are often groan-worthy)

......Yeah, no. Yang is an absolutely massive "Fuck You" to the dumb blonde stereotype.

Well until the later Volumes but we won't hold that against her. Everyone became stupid then.

It might be funny if Jaune actually asked her to be his tutor. You could use my background where he was going to medical school so he's bright, but he's struggling with Hunter stuff. So she happily helps him and he's a fast learner. She's good at the intellectual side.

Which necessitates a lot of time spent together. And hey, Jaune's happy to spar with Yang since he wants to be pushed. Pyrrha is training technique but Yang will train toughness.

And then hey! Turns out they have mutual nerdy interests. Jaune loved video games and did some tabletop gaming in Radian, and Yang is glad there's a boy who gets her interests and isn't just pretending due to her hotness...

And now Pyrrha is worried.

So here's a idea that I have but I only have snippets of actual thought out interactions.

Watts is a prideful bastard. Ask anyone who knows him. So when he finds out about Project Penny he is pissed.

A project that could revolutionize robotics and the understanding of consciousness and the soul. And those fuckers didn't even mention it to him once in the decade the project took to see fruit?!

Well now he's gonna show them how it's done.

But watts doesn't have 10 years to work on trial and error so he's going to cheat a bit. He takes a glance at the basic original drafts for Penny so he has a starting point for designing the body

And luckily enough some dumbass got halfway ripped to shreds by Grimm on his way to beacon. So he has a mind template for his creations positronic brain.

Now he just has to develop and build.

Fast forward to right around the vytal festival and for some reason Watts Crowning Jewel goes apeshit and breaks out of the castle and makes a beeline for Beacon.

He saw Penny. And he hates her.
Since the minute he came online he's been haunted and taunted with memories and sensations that aren't his. The feeling of a warm breeze on skin when all he has is synthetic nanopolymer weave and heat sensors.

The taste of Warm pancakes made by a mother he doesn't possess. Flavors he can't comprehend because instead of tastebuds he has a chemical analyzer.

And he wouldn't have to deal with any of that, wouldn't be around for any of that, if SHE didn't exist.

So he steals and modifies some equipment (a old shield and sword combo. He melted down the sword to reinforce the shield) and headed out.

Only he doesn't get there as quickly as he had hoped. Any time he starts to make significant progress he sees someone in danger or who needs help and those damn echoes drive him to assist.

But funnily enough those distractions bring her to him.

Atlas and Beacon have sent a collaboration squad out to the wilds. There's a town out there that's just barely surviving because of a wanderer with a shield on his back and a gun in his arm.

So for the little bits I had floating in my head.

"I'm not your Brother. There's no heart and soul in here, just ones and zeroes."

And the second one

"Shit that's a sad story kid, you got enough grief for a entire Blues album in ya."

"Blues huh...."

So to take it a bit more clear cut. This is a megaman crossover!

With Jaune dying pretty early and his brain (and soul) being copied into watts (who's this stories version of Dr.Wily) creation.

It's actually the Jaune influence that keeps the robot from turning out like Bass (a arrogant jackass who just wants to prove he's the best) and makes him into Blues.

And just for fun I figured he'd have the copy system as his semblance. (Him being unaware it's a semblance and not a system feature because he doesn't believe he has a soul which you need to have a semblance.)

@SharkCultist, don't take it personally, but I think I'm starting to hate you.
you can't just give us these great ideas and just leave us hanging.
It's cruel and inhuman and I'm pretty sure against the Geneva convention, or at least it should be.
you have to give us more.
Unfortunately Im good with ideas but bad with actually writing out stuff.

I tried once or twice making full stories and had trouble getting some ideas over 500 words.

So most things got one chapter then died.

But if you know anyone who could write these out feel free to toss them at them.

King Ozpin: "No, no, no! I told you to slay the dragon, not lay the dragon!"
Yang the Dragon: *smirks smugly in her sexy half-dragon form*
Jaune the Bard: "smiles sheepishly as a little blonde girl with horns and scales beams up at her daddy*

Pyrrha: *wakes up gasping and sweating*

Some more prompts on this Friday morning!

-What might happen if various characters ended up with Jaune in the Ever After? Ruby? Weiss? Yang? Blake? Penny? Cinder?

-Isabel infiltrates Beacon with her Semblance to resemble a teenaged girl in order to try and convince Jaune to go back home. Hilarity ensues.

-Jaune, Yang and Ruby get everyone to join in on a DnD game! What does everyone pick for their characters? How much real life drama impacts the game? How much social justice activism does Blake try to insert into it to spoil everyone's time? How much does Weiss whine? Will Nora wreck everything with her hammer? FIND OUT!

-Ren gets hit by a Semblance that makes it impossible for him to keep his internal dialogue internal. So now all his true thoughts and feelings keep popping out of his mouth.

Runs away for so long they don't meet until they meet team Rwby again.

They'll either kill each other, play house with the Alice expy or fall in love by killing the cat together.

It's nothing but a stream of absolutely degenerate things he wants to do with Nora.

The most embarrassingly sickening lovey dovey stuff you can imagine.

Stuff like sharing a milkshake with two straws. Or cuddling on a park bench so people can see how happy they are together.

The sick bastard.

To Weiss he would probably tell her to get off your high horse rich girl.

Blake: so you ran away from parents who love you for not doing enough..... You ungrateful bitch.

Yang: Damnit... I hate the puns but I laugh

Jaune and Pyrrha get absolutely roasted. For being denser than a star and a simp respectively.

-What might happen if various characters ended up with Jaune in the Ever After? Ruby? Weiss? Yang? Blake? Penny? Cinder?

Yang's humiliation is complete when WBY end up in the ever after - after ten years and a few kids, Ruby is undoubtedly the bigger sister.

-Isabel infiltrates Beacon with her Semblance to resemble a teenaged girl in order to try and convince Jaune to go back home. Hilarity ensues.[/QUOTE]

Pyrrha: *frowning* "I don't know why, but whenever the new girl opens her mouth and talks to Jaune I feel the flames of righteous anger and the overwhelming urge to deck her in the schnozz."

-Jaune, Yang and Ruby get everyone to join in on a DnD game! What does everyone pick for their characters? How much real life drama impacts the game? Pyrrha either picks a standard fighter and ends up accidentally min-maxing it, or goes for something a bit exotic and ends up having fun (save-and-suck wizard, skillmonkey factotum, sweet support bard with a huge crush on the group's paladin). Jokes abound on how her Charisma's higher than Yang's when she picks a charisma-based class.

Nora ends up especially effective as an evil-aligned blaster cleric, barbarian or bloodrager (Pathfinder) worshipping a malevolent storm god. She's also really good at the roleplay part.

Ren weaponizes his innate trauma. That is to say, he's a necromancer.

Blake goes for the full 'mysterious rogue with a hidden past' that checks all the boxes in the Mary Sue checklist and hilariously misinterprets the evil races while somehow pandering to all their stereotypes.

Weiss tries to create a melee wizard, and true to form the most effective and powerful class in the game with the most diverse spell list ends up as the group's jobber. She also has an aneurysm over spellcasting and insists the game is "doing it wrong".

So Yang and Ruby probably both have some insanely complex mega optimised multi/prestige class combo characters that can either hit 8 times in a turn that also hit like a truck on every hit, or the same thing but with spellcasters.
They also don't have character sheets, but character packet because there's just so much stuff on it.

Jaune is probably going to be the DM, but if he isn't then probably somekind of optimised Bard (who can actually swordfight in melee.

Ruby is scary good at roleplay while creating effective builds.

Yang generally builds according to the group; she can create well-optimized characters, goofball characters and so on, but she prefers to play melee damage builds.

Jaune likes playing paladins or bards. Just never do an evil campaign, because Yang and Ruby ended up freaked out at how well Jaune roleplayed a fall from grace and ended up taking over as the Big Bad.

just like that one star wars RPG...oh man, Juane would be completly be a effective evil overlord in that type. Having to fight Juanes former character Big Bad is probably a fight for their lives, and required several campagins to effectively end his reign of terror (around 8-14 or so, because that Juane is TERRIFYINGLY good at what he does)

Oh THIS gives me ideas

Lets combine ALL these and Ruby Yang and Jaune swap DM duties into a short plan so no one forever DM's

First session Ruby DM and Yang build a crutch character to help the party [and get killed off by the BBEG by Ruby as planned] while Jaune over the top Paladin dealing with Ren being a murder hobo and Nora egging Ren on with Pyrrha being easily convinced to join in the the madness as AR! Blake thinks thats what her character would do and Weiss falls a save through when trying to not be convinced to do something immoral and Jaune goes full ham acting as a Paladin overwhelmed by the grey and black morality

Second session Yang DM with Ruby using an old character that got banished by a bad roll/save through [dammit Uncle Qrow] with Jaune playing up the Paladin trying to avenge Yang character and going moral grey [with over acting] until they kill the BBEG... only for Jaune Paladin to take up his sword

Session 3? Jaune takes over as DM and BBEG to terrifying competency
Yang returns as her characters sister

Title: Fall From Grace

Ruby stares at the burning pyre, tears cutting deep through the veil of dirt and blood that covers her. Silence enveloped her and her friends, only disturbed by the crackling of the pyre.

They had failed to save the town, failed to save anyone. All the adults, families, and kids were butchered and murdered. They had been lured out of town and tricked, lured out so that it would be defenseless. Enough for the bandits to raid it and kill everyone all because the bandits had tricked them into leaving.

The somber silence was suddenly interrupted by the clinking of metal. Ruby looked up to see the Paladin, her oldest friend leaving. Surprised and unsure, she ran up to him. He had never left a funeral before it was finished.

"Jaune, what's going on?" She asked. Perhaps a bit rhetorically, she knew why. He'd always been the kindest of them all, always willing to sacrifice and help people. The Paladin stopped at his old friend's question but did not turn to meet her.

"I'm done with this Ruby. I'm done trying to save them." He whispered. His voice quiet and broken.

"Wha- what do you mean?" She asked, shocked and unbelievingly.

"I swore an oath, a Paladin's oath. An oath that I'd make the world a better place, that I'd save those in need, and that I'd give all a second chance. It was my oath, my creed, my purpose. But I cannot abide by that oath." His head seemed to fall slightly as his body tensed. Rage built up in the Paladin's figure.

"How can I try to save these monsters? How can I give them a second chance when all they have ever done is take and destroy? " He growled out. His fist clenched as he tried to keep his emotions restrained. Ruby took a step towards her friend as the rest of their group moved closer, but stopped a few steps behind them. She stood next to him, her left hand lightly covering his left fist and her right resting gently on his shoulder.

"It'll be okay Jaune, sometimes the world's a dark place. But that's why we're here right? To try and make it better!" She tried to cheer him, but Jaune did not turn.

" 'make it better'?" he whispered.

"Yup, people need us right? That's why we're adventurers, isn't it? Helping people in need, clearing out bandit groups that form, and keeping monsters at bay! Right?" Her hand tightened as she tried more to convince herself and her friend.

"No, that's not good enough." He responded, his words catching her off guard. "It's never good ENOUGH. NEVER." The yell caught his friends off guard, for the soft-hearted Paladin had never once yelled.

"Eight years of this Ruby. Eight years of not being fast ENOUGH, of not being good ENOUGH. 2,146 people Ruby. That's how many have died because we weren't GOOD ENOUGH. No matter how strong we are, no matter how good we are, it's never enough." He paused for a moment as he took a deep breath to reign in his emotions.

"And that's why I will do something about it. I'll end all this madness, all this slaughter. And I won't have you try to stop me."

"What?" Caught off by his words, she was unable to respond when the Paladin forced her to step back. And when she recovered, she looked up to see Jaune holding a large black metal helmet, trimmed with gold, and atop the wearer's forehead an inverted A, a maedate. Recognizing the object, Ruby sprung to her feet and rushed towards her friend to top him. But it was too late, the black helm glowed a brilliant white enveloping her friend's figure before vanishing, never once having turned to face her.

He's gonna form a cult hell-bent on world domination so that ALL may find salvation under the rule of the first King of Arcadia. His first aspirant, servant, queen consort, is definitely gonna be Pyrrha because she thirsty lol

Also yes, i did ignore the other characters for the sake of making it short, but they are all there, all 6 of em.

Idea for an arc relative lol.

Jane Smith former assassin, aunt to Jaune, and loving wife of John Smith. They had a bit of a rocky point halfway through when they realized they were both actually assassins and almost killed each other for it but their love overcame their missions and allegiances and they ran away together, making sure to kill all the assassins sent their way.

If you haven't guessed it it's from "Mr and Mrs Smith" (2005) with Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The Rusted Knight, and The Clockwork Girl

The girls constantly go to Isabel, and because she seems so mature/trustworthy, decide to spill all of their most salacious thoughts & desires about Jaune to her. Constantly.

Blake also decides to drag Isabel around on all her White Fang shenanigans.

How much social justice activism does Blake try to insert into it to spoil everyone's time?

The game is never able to start because of Blake's constant retconning of game lore.

personally I think the Spy x Family couple would be a better choice, how they would fit in the arc family i don't know.... wait a minute! The Addams Family!!!
i remember a tumblr post that would be prefect here. give me a minute to find it.

Edit: FOUND IT!!!

Villains in Addams Family movies go to really unnecessary lengths to defraud them of the family fortune. These people just give it away on whims all the time. If I just walked into the house and started wearing their clothes and spending their money, they wold start introducing me as Cousin Intruder and forget there was ever a time I didn't live with them.

paintmeahero
Gomez in particular would enjoy your boldness, Cousin Intruder.

Oh shit.
The Addams family loves and greets every person entering one of their homes.
The Addams family adopted or married every person wishing to stay.
This is why the Addams family is full of freaks.
Of course.

So what we're saying is, tracing the Addams' geneology is damn near impossible and it's just as likely that no living member of the family is actually a blood relative of the people who originally held the family name?

littlemissonewhoisall
What I'm hearing is that Batman is actually an Addams.

son-of-drogo
He most certainly is

oddsboy
I mean, considering if you look at it in the light of a different story, the near (actual, factual) homicidal level of bond and love the Addams have for each other, the idea that they're all adopted, the way that Bruce is often portrayed as a bit of an aloof, smarmy smarm in private, the possibility that young Bruce might not be wholly appreciative of his extended family's eccentricities, of which his parents are the mildest of the bunch, the idea that those two parents are (distantly) Addams' and get gunned down, well.
[Gomez]: I came, I came as soon as I heard
[Bruce]: I…I told you never to come back, I said, I said you were weird
[Gomez]: Please, my boy, to compliment me when you are so wracked with grief. *clutching hug* Dear Thomas, dear Martha, so full of life…
[Bruce]: *extricating* They….they fell in front of me…while he laughed…with mother's pearls…
[Gomez]: The fiend! This dishonor cannot stand!
[Bruce]: And I felt….I felt it well up inside me, a black blood welling up…
[Gomez]: Yes, dear boy…
[Bruce]: I….will be vengeance….
[Gomez]: Yes….
[Bruce]: I…I will be the night!
[Gomez]: Yes!
[Bruce]: I….I am an Addams!
[Gomez]: YES!
[Bruce]: I. AM. BATMAN. *lightning, thunder*
[Gomez]: YES, YES!!! My boy, the rivers will run red with wonderful blood!
[Alfred]: *sigh* I'll put the tea on and grab the foils then, shall I, sirs?

this! this is the arc clan!!

replace addams with arc and it will be perfect!
hell we don't even have to replace the addams. they could be a part of the family as well

Some more prompts on this Friday morning!

-What might happen if various characters ended up with Jaune in the Ever After? Ruby? Weiss? Yang? Blake? Penny? Cinder?

Ruby: The fight between them happens earlier. Possible reconciliation after the whole Alyx situation. Likelihood of kids? 50/50. If they choose to have them, maybe 3-4.

Weiss: That's a tough one, honestly. A lot of catharsis, and finally compromise. Tough it out for a little while but love blossoms. 5-6 kids before all is said and done.

Yang: Puns for a little while, huge emotional moment between her and Jaune. They find comfort within, and find that they do care about each other and their teammates. Try to stay professional, which doesn't work. 7-8 kids by the time the gang arrives.

Blake: Similar to Yang, but not as deep. Takes longer for interest to build, if it does beyond a platonic relationship. If things evolve, maybe 2-3 kids.

Penny: If she wasn't unalived by choice via Jaune, she would be trying to understand every emotion she was feeling. From angst, to sadness, frustration, anger, all of it. This would be a long slog to get through. Maybe a child if things evolve, not much else.

Cinder: Ever After War 2, not much else to say. Would Grimm even exist? Would she even be around if the Grimm evaporated upon arrival to the Ever After?

-Isabel infiltrates Beacon with her Semblance to resemble a teenaged girl in order to try and convince Jaune to go back home. Hilarity ensues.

Jaune thinks it's an unknown twin of a sibling initially. Is horrified to find out it's his mom.

Yang dies laughing before trying to buddy up to Isabel.

Blake is leery, but tries to talk to her about the situation.

Pyrrha, once she figures out it's her likely mother-in-law, starts wanting to know Isabel. Including asking about Jaune beyond asking him directly.

Weiss would be leery as well, and not too impressed until Isabel undoes the charm in the dorms and shows she really is Jaune's mother. The idea from more than a few months ago involving Weiss being shown pictures of Jaune shirtless and doing work sets off some ideas.

Ruby is a little benign to the thing.

Ren is puzzled, but goes along to get along.

Nora wants to ensure Isabel won't go for Ren.

Isabel shows she's very much a grown woman and faceplants Nora in a spar before silently telling her that she's not interested in Ren and Nora doesn't need to worry.

All of it eventually leads to Isabel deciding to stop trying to guide Jaune back home and instead begin "Project: Grandbabies".

-More Ideas for the Arc Clan!

Did you do a Riza Hawkeye one? Have her as a former Ace Ops member who left the military. Have Roy Mustang be third in command of the Atlas military under Ironwood but Riza retired after a few too many close calls. Well, to Mustang's eyes. In reality, she was at least 2km away from any true danger.

The game is never able to start because of Blake's constant retconning of game lore.

Blake comes up with all kinds of "corrections" for the lore. The DM takes revenge.

Blake: *smugly, self-assured* "They're no doubt celebrating the death of noble I assassinated last night for his treatment of faunus-"
Pyrrha: "My listen check is 36. What do I hear?"
DM!Ruby: *sighs* "Guards entered the estate and discovered that Sir James was secretly operating a tunnel network that smuggled faunus widows and children out to sympathetic organizations that would send them away from the city."
Blake: "...What?"
DM!Ruby: *dully* "The tunnels are now closed. The armies of the Old One are but a week from the gates and the city's morale score now has a -5 penalty."
Blake: "...What?"
Jaune: *sighs* "Time to put that Charisma score to use. Do we have anyone nearby willing to help us?"
DM!Ruby: "The realm of the Fire Witch lies nearby, a sorceress said to have made a pact with an Archduke of Baator - Jaune, no."
Jaune: "Ren, teleport me there. It's time to roll for Diplomacy."
Blake: "...What?"
Pyrrha: "...What?"
Weiss: "...What?"
Yang: "...This is the dragon thing all over again, isn't it?"

Yang: "...This is the dragon thing all over again, isn't it?"
what was the dragon thing?
was it this:
King Ozpin: "No, no, no! I told you to slay the dragon, not lay the dragon!"
Yang the Dragon: *smirks smugly in her sexy half-dragon form*
Jaune the Bard: "smiles sheepishly as a little blonde girl with horns and scales beams up at her daddy*

Pyrrha: *wakes up gasping and sweating*
or was it something else?

Some more prompts on this Friday morning!

-What might happen if various characters ended up with Jaune in the Ever After? Ruby? Weiss? Yang? Blake? Penny? Cinder?

IIRC I has this idea in a parallel thread.

Penny's soul gets dragged along for the ride to Ever After. She gets embodied there, and her new body reflects both her "real girl" and "gynoid" states - the Clockwork Maiden.

Her limbs and heart are mechanical. There's a stylized opening in her chest (roughly where she was stabbed) and gears can be seen inside, but at the same time she has a fully functional womb and can have children. Кind of a steampunk version of the Third from Armitage, or something like Ashlotte from SoulCalibur IV.

The children can be anything from normal humans to technorganic beings - their mechanical components would grow along them with age.

To expand - there can be some drama, when Jaune admits to killing Penny with RWBY getting on his case.
In which Penny can point out that
a) She asked him to do it.
b) She is also the one who should have the biggest issue with it, since it's her who was killed. And Jaune already asked her for forgiveness multiple times (2 219 to be exact) and she forgave him every time.
c) She's alive now and that's all that really matters.

Might eventually end with Penny loudly reaffirming her feelings for Jaune.

And they have several dozen clockwork children! It's cute.

Blake on Katy Sith New
Jaune gets a call on his Scroll. He opens it up and a beautiful blonde cat Faunus farm girl beams at him.

Jaune: "Hey Katy!"

Katy: "Hey Jaune!"

They chat for a while in a friendly way before Jaune ends the call. Blake stares at him.

Blake: "Katy... She's a cat faunus?"

Jaune: "Yeah."

Blake: "You two were... Good friends?"

Jaune: "We actually dated for a while. Even thought about getting married... But... Well..." shrugs "She didn't want me to become a Hunter. She didn't want to help me with my dream, so... We broke up. But we're still friends."

Blake: "I-I see."

Jaune: "Do you have a problem with Faunus?"

Blake: "What?! N-No! Not at all! I just uh... I heard some things about Faunus and humans dating... Did you make her wear a collar?"

Jaune: blush "That's... Kind of personal to ask, isn't it? Do you have a Faunus fetish or something?"

Blake: "N-NO! Well... Sort of...?"

Jaune: "I'm leaving."

Blake: "NO WAIT! Did you leash her?"

Jaune: "You don't put leashes on cats!"

Yeah Blake dont you know anything?!
...so funny thing? My sister actually does have a cat harness and leash for her kitty.

It's mostly because Stella is a skittish little shit so it keeps her from bolting away any time a car honks or someone farts.

We take her out on the porch or just in the front yard a bit. Let her get some sun and enjoy a bit of a breeze.
