Are there any intentions of bringing back the Dark/Green Mobile style?

There was no style by that name and there were like 3 different ones with green in the name. Which one do you mean? Are there any intentions of bringing back the Dark/Green Mobile style?
I can't really remember the name, but I know it's not any of the styles that are currently up. It was primarily black with green highlights for the header and alerts, thought it had Mobile somewhere in the titleThere was no style by that name and there were like 3 different ones with green in the name. Are you thinking of Flexile? Cause that doesn't exist for XF2, someone would have to remake it from scratch.I can't really remember the name, but I know it's not any of the styles that are currently up. In Blackened Green, the background colour of un-revealed inline spoilers (Like this) is almost indistinguishable from the background of the post, making it very hard to notice it's there. Inline spoilers aren't supposed to be invisitext; they're supposed to be obvious in their presence but hide their content unless you choose to view them.
The color of the in-line spoiler isn't tied to the theme, it's the same on all of them. If it was actual black it would be invisible on Blackened High Contrast.Blackened purple as well.
Would really like if they were just solid black or something, and not single-shade-off-from-background-gray.
There's no reason it has to be the same on all themes. Or if it does, make it pure black but with a white outline or something. The color of the in-line spoiler isn't tied to the theme, it's the same on all of them. If it was actual black it would be invisible on Blackened High Contrast.
I don't know the name of this one either, but yes. None of the new styles are as good as that one, imo.Are there any intentions of bringing back the Dark/Green Mobile style?
So for example, text written in this color was not has hard to read. While text written in DARK COLORS were immediately apparent as "being out of place", since the default letters were colored white.
A link to change a user's theme is not something you can post. That's something solely under the control of the user. So, what is the best way to signal readers that a darker xenforo style might make for a better reader experience?
-Should I simply write it in a sticky post, and indicate they should change the settings at the bottom of the screen?
-Is there a "link" I can insert into text that could be more conveniently clicked, that would change the style?
-Is there a way to program a thread so that any user that enters it is automatically "switched" into another xenforo style?
I'm not sure anything came of this, but I would like to raise the issue again.I'm not sure if this is just me, but the width of the forum keeps reverting to wide randomly, and often like 2-3 times every half hour.
Hopefully your support makes a difference.Seems like the right place to me.
I haven't noticed the width cookie getting unstuck, but it would be very annoying if it did, so I support your plea.
Managed to recreate while on blackened high contrast theme. Had to reenable. only took a couple hours of downtime from last QQ usageI have a wide monitor that makes reading anything on this site when the forum fills my entire screen very annoying as everything gets stretched out. Theres a Change Width button on the bottom of the screen next to the Style chooser button which allows me to go from wide margins to narrow margins.
good to know its not just me.Managed to recreate while on blackened high contrast theme. Had to reenable. only took a couple hours of downtime from last QQ usage
Not just the button, but also the functionality in general. If you switch to one of those styles when you've got it enabled, it won't work even though it will remain enabled after switching back. The button to highlight invisitext is missing from the "Light" and "Dark" styles.
invisitext
I'm going to bring up the page width thing again. I know it's a relatively minor annoyance, but it is also literally constant. It's happening pretty much every single time I load a QQ page now- maybe 4/5 or 9/10 times- and every time it happens I have to scroll all the way to the bottom to change the width back to narrow and make it actually readable. I can tell I'm using the site less and less because every time the 'next threadmark' button takes me to a new page it goes wide again and completely takes me out of what I was reading.
We didn't used to have this. It's not literally breaking my kneecaps, but there are no upsides and I don't think anyone asked for it. Why were variable margins even added if all they do is fuck formatting and readability?
Please let us set which one we like in preferences or something else that will actually be permanent, if we can't just get rid of it altogether.
So, sort of question and suggestion in one I guess? Question if it is already a thing and suggestion if it isn't. Anyways. I'm wondering if there is a way to disable text color on other people's posts so I only see default text color. I'm trying to read though some stories and the author uses bright colors for things but I'm in light mode so I can't read the text unless I highlight it and that's starting to get very annoying when every thing the characters says and half of what they do are bright yellow.
For all I know it's because my browser or an adblock plugin or something just doesn't get along with the specific cookie QQ uses to track this, but I'm not gonna start dropping those for QQ's sake and this sort of setting shouldn't need to be a cookie. I'm signed in already.I have no idea why that's happening to you, personally my width has never changed since I last changed it.
So it was you.And as for why variable margins are there, IIRC it's because some people (It's me, I'm the people) absolutely fucking HATE wide margins, and when the changeover happened and the styles were gone, we kind of were just stuck with them, and a bunch of people (It's me again, I'm still the people) went "what the fuck, this is awful, fuck this, change change change change pls pls pls pls" and then we got the 'change width' thing. Unless I'm misremembering.
It's probably pointless after so long, but once I again I beseech the forum gods to return our beloved QQ orange in Blackened High Contrast. The blue is fine, but it's just not the real QQ without that halloween color palette.
