If he has dabbled in necromancy but not become a master, then he could be a solid ally in the future. Someone other than Dr. Mist and Giovanni Zatara to counter the weirded messes. I think he might become something similar to Dr. Doom, after he pisses off enough white-and-black morality superheroes. Not a super close comparison, but the intelligence, country of resources, magical and material knowledge... Yeah, let's just hope the eventual courting from Sinestro works out in Paul's favor.

Pissing off the white-and-black morality crowd with realistic moral greyness is always good reading and good thinking. In addition, I LOVE Dr. Doom and there not being a lot of, or any that I could find, fanfictions about him, either as an SI being him or as Doom himself, is a criminal matter. I suppose he's simply too complicated a character for anyone to write properly.

I also agree strongly with the Sinestro part. Becoming enemies of Sinestro and his Corps would just be such a waste of potential, especially when Paul and the Orange Lanterns don't even have any reasons to do so. Can't wait for the first in person meeting between the two First Lanterns.

Yeah, the Tau are manipulative and use propaganda, but at worst their mind control comes from pheromones of the leadership and only affect other Tau, with everyone else doing stuff voluntarily (and if Farsight is to be believed, just being away from an ethereal for a while is enough to undo the pheramone control, and thus 90% of the Tau population are doing their jobs voluntarily).
