It hasn't come up. There is no reason for a construct ring to surpass a normal ring. I imagine the construct is interpreting the user's verbal or non-verbal avarice instead of a ring AI, which would have a a few drawbacks. A real ring and construct ring trying to work together as smoothly as two proper rings…? No idea.Remind me, does an orange construct lantern transformed into a ring act the same as a secondary larfleeze-ish ring to increase battery life?
I have trouble believing that a construct can hold more than 20% of a ring's charge, given how cheap they are to respawn. I think we saw on Tamaran in Renegade that construct rings recharge the normal way, and they have enough of a capacity to support novice Lanterns through extended fights.
The usual risks of construct lanterns affecting Paul for PR reasons seem like they would apply in Invincible-verse. We know he can attempt it without completing the process, he might have zero. Also, roughly how many other construct lanterns does Matthew have, and have any of the Viltrumites seem him summon them from the original ring embedded in his head? I doubt he has the skill to summon remotely via filaments, and they'd probably notice anyway.
Oh, come to think of it, Jevik's assorted Effogy upgrades generally seemed to parallel Willpower strategies ra.ther than Avarice; but that aside, is a ring resilient enough to survive and not disrupt an Effigy's general being-sorta-on-fire shtick? Will it be offered as a standard upgrade to the GLC or OLC at some point?
I'm not sure if we have seen any rings get destroyed, beyond the anti-green (crushing) during the Crisis and Paul's Qwa-matter death. Grayven's yellow ring was damaged by the Captain Comet/First Citadelian fight.
I think the Martian flame-disruption COULD be used for disintegration, but by default it is closer to Captain Comet's TK aura than real oxygen-ignoring fire. Fire and super-fire aren't threats to rings. It would probably be a minor issue in the long term rather than an easy way to break a ring.
