What are you talking about? The book of black wasn't involved, and Simon's tears weren't black either. They appeared that way due to a coloring error. We know this, because in the next panels, his tears look completely normal, as did his light color. Also, the veteran Green Lantern in question obviously didn't know what he was talking about, because Green Lanterns have done way crazier things than this in the past.

And no, it wasn't a coloring error, it persisted from page 15 to the top panel of 16. You're thinking of the tears he cried after that.

What Soranik Natu did still counts as using a power ring to heal someone. Yes, what Soranik does obviously requires medical knowledge, but it still counts as a power ring being used to help heal someone regardless. It just goes to show that any Green Lantern with the appropriate medical know-how can use their ring to heal people.

No, that's not what happened at all. I just went back to read the story, and I can assure you that Kyle was not resurrected by the White Light. The White Light wasn't even involved at all until the end of the event. He was resurrected by the Star Sapphire Miri Riam, using the Violet Light to channel the bond between Kyle and Soranik to heal Kyle and bring him back to life.

I thought your were talking about one of the times when he actually died and was resurrected.

I remembered Ranx, I just discounted him since he was mentioned already in the chapter, and he isn't actually a planet, just planet-sized. But it's true that Oh El might have been counting him.
