Xenforo - Do you guys want it here?

Yes. I'm currently upgrading the software to its latest version, for testing, just in case Xenforo's converter requires the latest version instead of the one we have.
 
Okay, the testforum has been upgraded to the the latest version of SMF. Pls test it too.

Note that all modifications are uninstalled due to the upgrade, which primarily means that no upvoting(that was all a mod) exists, no multi-quoting, and a couple other minor things.
 
You can log of the test forum now and log back in, so that is fixed.
 
Arrived logged in, so logged out to test. However, I'm unable to log back in. It say either incorrect password when I try my username for name, or that an error has occured when I use my email to log in.

I'm redoing it, I messed up somewhere. This is why it pays not to get in a hurry with this stuff.

Yes, the upgrade will remove that temporarily. Hopefully it can be reinstalled, but if not... It wouldn't transfer over to Xenforo anyway.

How do things look from your end? Any more bugs you've seen from the upgrade?
 
So, the upgrade is done, which is required from what I've been able to tell.

The likes system does not work with the newest version, unfortunately, but this is going to be temporary.

It has become obvious that Softaculous's cloning feature and SMF do not get along. I get different problems every time I try. So, I'm not going to be able to test things ahead of time. I guess we're just gonna have to go into this the hard way. Fortunately, full support comes with a Xenforo license in case of problems.

The votes have been overwhelmingly in favor of an upgrade to Xenforo, so.

The order page says that European orders will get VAT added to it, but that's all it lists.
 
So, ince enough money is in, when will the update be done? I imagine QQ will be down while it's being done.

It's ironic, considering that several Fenoxo games (including Trials In Tainted Space, and Alder's Fall of Eden) are on Patreon.

Also, WTF, we're already moving to Xenforo? A chance I checked the announcement subforum today, else I'd have been in for a shock when I would have logged again tomorrow ;)
 
Probably won't happen by tomorrow; quite possibly the funds won't even all have arrived by then. Hopefully within a week or so.
 
Just sent an additional $12.16 USD, which gets us exactly at $140. We have enough for the license at minimum now, though we need an additional fifty for the Expanded Search function.
 
License has been purchased, we now have Xenforo. Updating the funds topic.

Installation won't happen until tonight.

Something occurred to me. The Search Function we just purchased will require expanded hardware to run it, so that means site costs will go up, though to what degree I don't know. What are we going to do about that?

Expanded search hasn't been bought yet, since I didn't see the donation until after I had bought the license. However... the site is never in any danger of running out of processing power or memory. I've never seen it hit 10% on CPU power.
