Dude, I know the entire story was for free and entirely accessible originally. The problem is that now the majority of it is behind a pay wall on Kindle. I'm not calling it a "malicious publicity stunt", I'm calling it leaving a pay-to-read story you can't read anymore up on a FREE reading site.

They managed to get a publishing deal for their original work but they don't want to stop sharing their passion with everyone.
Tough luck is, the deal they got is that for a bit the new Kindle content can't be freely shared by the author or they could get in trouble, get the entirety of their deal canceled, or both

I recommend 'Unauthorised Access (Worm AU)' and 'The Henchmistress of Brockton Bay (Worm Wiki Warrior)' on SB. they have great writing and interesting take on New wave (it help that both, especially the former nail the canon Worm very well without the 'nihilist' crap original canon author did). The latter fic do give lot of nice laught and some wholesome moment as we watch this Joke villain shenanigan and her resolve
