You know, like, how in the less well-written "battle schools", like, idk, RWBY, DLDL, etc. and the like, you never see any signs of classes on language or math, or budgeting and taxes, so on and so forth, it's a little puzzling, like how do these 12 year old kids know how to read well enough to understand them secret ancient scriptures or whatever

If I had to guess, it's because they're expected to go out and fight for their profession and just hire people to do that kind of thing with the money they make from fighting, and anything else is hobby/electives/minutiae that don't get shown in an action series

The combat related classes give them the XP needed to level up, and they have some leftover skill points that they dump into utility and/or random skills, like Basic Literacy, Ancient Languages, American Tax Law, Iterated Logic Puzzles, Scrimshaw, etc.

No, nothing I have is locked behind a paywall, just early access to it is (as I dislike the practice). While I appreciate any support you want to give, if funds are short, just wait a few months, and you'll see everything that's there here on QQ, or, when I start doing Original Fiction again, over on RoyalRoad.
