Yah, a demerit for not considering the possibility of sapient robots, but otherwise they're doing a lot of things right. Risk plays the frat boy but has a sharp brain, and Nmandi is playing to his strengths, and together the two of then make a good team it seems.

I don't think they're doing enough damage to the robots that they would get irreparably damaged, assuming their CPUs are located in their heads. More, after roundhousing one of them, it exploded, which means it's disposable, faildangerous and probably not sentient

I may be getting the cultural context wrong, but Risk grew up in a trailer park and has never even thought of going to college. He isn't a frat boy.

Not sure exactly how BR549 meant it, but 'Frat Boy' is a general purpose slur meaning the kind of young man who appears to be coasting on a single personality trait in. Going to college has nothing to do with it other than the origination of the slur.

Feels like you're reaching for a reason to criticize them here. While it's true actual AI have rights, it remains the fact that:

1. AIs are very rare, while non-intelligent robots are very common (by superhero standards). If a some low grade attack bots are rushing at you like a human mooks, it's fair to make the assumption that they are not in fact AIs. You'll know it's an AI when they start ranting at you.

2. Robots are resilient opponents who, much like zombies, can get back even when heavily damaged. It's dangerous to leave an operational one behind you, and Nnambdi made a point of saying how he's not even bullet resistant. Making sure to very thoroughly destroy them is good sense, not savaging a downed opponent for no reason.

3. Robots can also report back through networks, so yes you ideally would like to destroy their processing center.

Now yes it is theoretically possible that some party could produce an army of AI mookbots who all have genuine people personalities with inner lives, and then you don't want to kill them. However no one is known to do that, so the risk is low. If it becomes a known thing, our heroes would reevaluate their approach. In the meantime, smashing up some robot soldiers seems only good sense.

Unfortunately, fraternity membership is not required to become a frat boy. Nor even college attendance, though that helps a lot.
